MrM Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 (edited) One of my greatest influences in writing and my one great muse, Anne Rice, has passed away! Anyone who writes in the horror genre, particularly vampires, owes her a greater debt even than Bram Stoker! She world built Vampire Lore to such an extent that we will forever look on that myth with far more sympathetic eyes! She was a bastion of courage and a great ally to the LGBTQ community! This is like the passing of Faulkner or Hemingway or Mozart! A great artist and redefiner of reality is gone. I’m very sad today, but grateful to this fine woman of such imagination and insight! Comicality Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 She was truly one of the greats of our time. And she wasn't all that old at all. Thanks for your contribution to fiction in general, Ms Rice. You will be missed. 1
