RIP Michelle Nichols

When I heard of her passing, my mind was reminded of this scene from Star Trek II, which she was part of.

Rest in Peace, Nichelle.  You and your castmates brought a great deal of enjoyment to a lot of people, including myself, and you were a great role model who inspired many young girls to strive even harder to achieve their dreams.

And she'll be in good company, because she'll be going into space with many others from the Star Trek universe.  Bon voyage to each and every one of them as they go where no one else has gone before.
