Nothing can ever bring back someone who was killed. Nothing can ever take back something someone did that was wrong.

...

Nobody should drive while they're drunk. Even so, sometimes people just f**K up. There's no good solution to this.

...

I was just trying to say that there are two sides to every story, and sometimes good people do things that are really f**king stupid.

100% agree with everything above. If you try to codify rules, there will always be an injustice. Some people who drink and drive deserve all the scorn and ridicule they can get. Others deserve compassion and understanding -- it doesn't fix things if something has gone wrong, but life is rarely black-and-white.

For the record, a good friend of mine lost their license once because they were over the legal limit. It wasn't malicious, they weren't rolling drunk -- they had just had a little too much alcohol for their body mass and didn't realise it.

3 days!!!! That's all she did.

They let her out early, early this morning!!!

Seems with big bucks in the bank and the squirting of a few tears got her out, eh??

I'm more curious about why so much of the media thinks this is news....

Yep, beats me. By the same token, there's not much point in having a handful of stones without a target.

As I said before we haven't had real news in a long time, it's Entertainment.

From what I heard on the radio this morning (my time), she was let out into home detention on medical grounds. Apparently, she got a rash....

Paris Hilton is an idiot. any regular Joe Schmoe would have to do the whole 45 days, but nooooo, Paris has to go cry about it and gets house arrest! i think they should have just left her flat ass in the clink! but thats just my opinion.

Just remember this though. People like Paris don't learn. She has a drinking problem it seems. I am sorry to say that in my opinion this will not be her last brush with the law. If she kills then these 40 days will be the least of her worries. When all this started I felt like a few weeks in jail would be good for her. I now think it don't really matter because she is spoiled and will go right back to her previous lifestyle either way. I don't hate Paris. I don't envy the money. What I hate to see is someone travel down this pathway in life.

They should have given her 45 days at the morgue, watching the victims of drunk drivers come in and their families have to come ID them. Maybe that would be a wake up call for the heffer

Now this is interesting:

Judge orders Hilton back to court

The city attorney appears to want the sheriff held in contempt for releasing Paris Hilton.

Stay tuned -- more on this tomorrow when Paris Hilton fronts the judge again.... assuming this article is accurate.

Or did she give everybody a rash!? Inquiring minds want to know.

Me personally, I couldn't give a rat's raw ass.

Last I heard she was suposedly having a nervouse breakdown. The symptoms were something to the effect of constant crying, trouble sleeping, and loss of apetite. The loss of apetite just might have something to do with the green ham they serve prisoners. The other two sound like a tantrum. She could have at least been creative enough to fake a real illness.

On the serious side, her case if setting a terrible example. She could have killed someone and for that she is only grounded for a few weeks. It makes her behavior sound excusable. The fact that she is famous automaticaly makes her an example and a role model to some kids.

If she wants to selfdestruct that's her sad choice. I just hope she does it a safe distance from me.

Worth a View... very funny if you ask me... too bad she didn't get forced to stay all 45 days.

Maybe next time, instead of driving drunk, Paris and her buddies will try one of those new-fangled inventions called a cab. I imagine that she, after two days in jail, after expecting it to be just another day at the beach for her, probably started calling people and telling them, "Get me out! I don't care, how, just get me out!"

And it almost worked.

Guess Daddy's money can't buy your way out of everything. B)

Lol... I'm starting to feel bad for her actually. Being what the world is laughing at couldn't be all that grand at all. She also looked aweful in the picture MSN posted.

She'll definitely think twice about driving drunk now, hopefully.

If this would have been ANYONE not famous, the punishment would have been harsher, and the jailtime longer. People in the limelight need to get the same, if not more severe punishment.

What kind of role model is she turning out to be. I mean, we already knew she was horrible anyway, but jeeze.

Shark would have got her off. He might have needed seven of nine's help, but she'd be free!

Shark rules...

She's going to get off unfortunately it's going to take them 45 days to do it!

Hahahahahahahaha!

Oh and yes we suffer from News Media Rot where by if they aren't playing the "Fear Card" (i.e. We will go anywhere we have to to find something scary, and convince you it's happening up your street.) it's about some dunbass celebrities doing what they do best, stupid shit! That is unless you watch Fox (Pronounced Faux) News. There, New Orleans is making a remarkable come back, The King is President, and the surge is a success!!!!

You've got to love Rupert!! That man has such a sense of humor. :funny:

OOh did you heard what Sarah Silverman said at the MTV movie awards last sunday?

Nothing made my day when I saw her crying face on TV and hearing she screamed after her mummy to save her ass when she was carried out of the courtroom by two officers.

God...I love this country...it's so f**ked up. lol

The 24/7 news coverage of these social freaks is a national embarrassment. Nicole (Smith, Ritchey...take your pick), Brittany (and the beaver-wink), Lindsey...blah, blah. We are fascinated with these PR ploys and these stories sell.

Just to straighten out the facts about her status as "heiress". First, the grandfather, Barron, has the major bucks. He has a very private brother (Eric) who has retired and is a philanthropist. There is the first split in the Conrad Hilton fortune. Barron's share is around 1 billion.

Rick, Paris' dad, is one of eight children of Barron's. However, Rick is independently wealthy due to his successful real estate company. So, with Paris being one of four children, her share is probably around 30 million. Not too shabby but why would she would allow herself to be videotaped in amateur porn is beyond rationality. Crazy, isn't it?

This most recent five-day episodic television "news" coverage is probably Ms. Hilton's undoing. She really comes off as the spoiled, self-centered brat she is.
