First off: Boston absolutely embarrassed Vancouver. Second: Tim Thomas is a beast. Third: I am utterly appalled at how classless Vancouver played tonight. They showed that cheap-shotting is a part of how they play (at least in this series). Fourth: If the NHL had done what should have been done with Baby Burrows biting like a 3 year old, this kind of stuff wouldn't have happened. When you allow little kiddies to run wild, this is what happens. Anyway, I can't wait for Game 4. I can not remember watching a series with this much intensity and bad blood between the two teams.

The Canucks can not go more then one game without playing dirty. This is partly the NHL's fault for not coming down in the obvious biting incident.

Never said it was a weakling sport. Just not a physical one (compared to football, hockey, lacrosse, even basketball).

Hockey is not soccer. It takes a very physically tough person to play hockey, football, and other contact sports. Why do you think Americans hate soccer so much? Because there is no contact or physical punishment. Sports like football, hockey, basketball, etc flourish because it involves physical toughness not found in soccer. The fighting in hockey just adds to that love of physical contact for North American sports fans.

Nice to know even the NHL is also rooting for Vancouver to win. Not suspending Burrows was, in the words of Mike Millbury, "a disgrace".

Both Luongo and Thomas played incredible tonight. I'm not sweating losing Game 1. We lost the first two at home to Montreal and still beat them. Also, anyone notice how much NBC was kissing Vancouver's ass throughout the entire game? They all but outright said they wanted Vancouver to win.

Because hockey was a blue collar sport played by blue collar people in the beginnings. And why this isn't politically correct (not like I give a shit anyways), poorer people tend to solve a lot more problems/frustrations through fighting. That tradition has just stuck through the years, and in my opinion, adds to the excitement of the game of hockey.
