I hope this never becomes a medical-board approved treatment plan: “I’ll send you one of my butt pics. Show it to your husband, maybe it will make him feel better.” I'd be at the clinic five days a week with all kinds of imaginary ailments to be "cured".

Every chapter sinks deeper in the most unimaginable cruelty. I'm right at the point where I find so little pleasure in reading the story that there is no return on the investment of time. Even poor Julian acted quite reprehensibly in this chapter.- 20 comments

This caught my eye: 'Both nice, actually,’ Malte said. ‘Such a gay ballet would not be possible in Sweden.’ In the US at the time, Sweden had a progressive, liberated reputation, especially around sexual mores. A lot of adult films circulating at the time originated in Sweden. I was not aware that society was still repressed with regard to LGBTQ issues. -

Sad passages and joyous ones... much like life. I was listening earlier to a conservative debating US immigration policy. His argument was that there should be NO immigrants admitted to the US. Instead there should be incentives to increase the birth rate to help the economy grow. This story shows the human face of immigration and the inhumane approach the government is taking now. -

I have never been to Medellín, but the food sounds unappealing with the exception of the steakhouse. I have been to Cartagena, and I thought almost every meal I ate there was good. Maybe the advantage of being on the coast? I even liked the arepas there. Miguel is a complex character, and I don't quite trust him yet. He can turn out to be Hunter's great passion or the catalyst for catastrophe, Maybe both? What I need is to have Max in one-on-one scenes with Zach, Yeilson and Miguel. He'll sort them all out and let Hunter know who to trust and who to kick to the curb. 😁😁😁#whosagoodboy

A spectacular set piece. That is very well written. Mr. Black and Mr. White are so unsettling. I fully expect eventually they are revealed to be androids sent from the future. 😁
