  1. Aeden's hot head has him in trouble again, but as happens all too frequently, the bully's behavior is overlooked, and his victim is punished for reacting.

    Ian & Charlie

Interesting. The voices in my head are campaigning for a ménage à trois, but they all have scandalously indifferent moral codes, so I usually ignore them.

    Chapter 17

A very exciting chapter. Steve's programming of Zephyr resulted in the dream scenario for the bottom 99%. The Pomeranian is about to undergo El Coyote's riff on neutering a dog, I suspect.
  4. Baseball player Jody heads off to Chapel Hill to play for the University of North Carolina and get an education both in and out of the classroom!

    Chapter 5

Interesting discussion about the 'economic' theory of relationships followed by Len and Jody pushing their relationship to a higher plane
  6. Petras is a very well-written antagonist in this chapter. A very bad man.

    Chapter 16

"And now we know the rules. We use the Sting for chaos, the Rover for protection, and the Perch for force." Always good to have a plan!
  8. This is an Old Skool burst of 'one-handed reading'. Weighty baggage such as plot and characterization are tossed aside in favor of steamy, gritty, grab-you-by-the-'nads sex action that delivers the heat. Highly recommended!
  9. A highly recommended story of young men working through their feelings for one another while bonding over a love for chess. Mostly set in Sweden and the Netherlands a generation or two ago, it has a fresh and bracing outlook on complex social interactions.
  10. Matthijs has so much sympathy from me as he navigates his unrequited feelings for Åke. A crush on a straight boy is a common trope in gay fiction, but an unrequited crush on another gay boy is a fresh take. Really fine writing.
  11. Crowe, a practitioner, and Barghast, an eight-foot-tall wolfman, join forces on a quest in spite of initial mistrust and a lack of common language and culture. There is a powerful connection that binds them in this beautifully written tale. The world building is masterful.

    Downfall

Then the voices began. Voices sounded from outside the pub. They were high-pitched, ringing with mock-joy, yet possessed a terrifying clarity. This is a terrifying development! Very creative.

    Chapter 15

Kenny has a battlefield promotion to Tactical-Accountant and is armed with a 'technical'. Alex is patched together for a maximum of 12 hours. Steve has compromised the data farm, and Sr. Alvarez has provided a diversion. Let's get this bread!
  15. “He told a couple kids I wanted him to do it but he didn’t want to. After that, I started getting called names. After a while I finally just gave in and admitted I was gay. There were still some assholes that kept calling me names.” We need a list of these delinquents starting with Kolter. They need to be taken out behind the woodshed for a little "talk".

    Chapter 14

Another great chapter in crisis management.

    Chapter 1

    Very hot story!

    Euphoria

Another great chapter, racheting up the tension to a fever pitch!

    Chapter 14

    Really beautiful verses.
  20. An interesting chapter with a lot of the background information on our narrator, Hunter, a model of the prototype of littlebuddhatw's characters, 16 going on 35, curious, intelligent, sexually advanced. I look forward to seeing this story unfold.
  21. A fascinating summary of a complex country. I visited Cartagena a couple of years ago, and I was struck by how Escobar is still revered there. He generously shared the wealth he amassed by building roads, schools and hospitals in neglected regions of Colombia, and the grateful citizens in turn protected him.

    Chapter 4

“You know I’m straight, right?” Denial is not just a river in Egypt, Len! That really was a simpler time. One was either 'normal' or queer, end of conversation, and if a guy took a walk on the dark side from time to time, his self-evaluation as straight was in no way threatened as long as he wasn't in any way penetrated. Jody can do better, IMHO, but this may be a lesson he needs to learn.

    Chapter 13

This is a great chapter! After many pages of tense, thrilling action, we get Steve and Brian talking quietly, deepening their characters. Then Enrico Alvarez comes back on stage as deus ex machina to turn the plot in a direction more to his liking. Spectacular!
  24. The pat earned him a toothy grin from Barghast and a reciprocated pat on the shoulder that sent the practitioner stumbling back a few steps. Before he could hit the ground, the lycan caught him, his grip instantly stabilizing and gentle, settling him back down on his feet. Barghast has quickly become my favorite character in this story!
  25. A lovely tribute. I am sorry for your loss.
