    Chapter 25

Yes, they are an unexpected addition but they have skills other than fighting. Just wait... there's a lot to come. Well, there are more skills needed on an adventure than the ability to kick ass. At least in this quest, they will need that!

    Chapter 24

Yes, and goes against every instinct he has as a protector... but sometimes you have to chose the lesser of two evils. Don't worry, you will learn about the dots!

    Chapter 23

Londe is kinda a queen, but he's also super fierce. I love him as a character. Whoops, sorry! That 1k limit is sooo hard with this story. There's a lot to fit in with a fantasy tale, so it's hard to move the story along quickly. I hope you enjoy the rest of the chapters when you read them. They will definitely come into play later... so you won't wonder forever.

    Chapter 23

Yes, he was! And the big question is still what role will the furry little Beings have in the rest of the plot? MMM??
  5. Oh yes... well... I live with my very own divas, so that was immediately what I thought too @aditus and @Valkyrie LOL Interesting on how chunking up a word can totally change the meaning in your mind.
  6. Content warnings are added to Story Notes so anyone who doesn't like that type of content knows up front what is in a story and can avoid the whole thing if necessary. Chapters with the actual content need notes because we often have direct links to chapters only and readers would not see the story note. Content warnings must be written for any of the story content that will possibly place you in moderation: rape, suicide, incest, and potentially drug use and violence depending on the overall graphic nature and context to storyline in the scene(s). The system is relatively fluid in regards to moderation, allows authors to give general warnings without spoiling the plot, and still allow readers who wish to be alerted to that content a heads up. It takes very little effort for authors, allows them more leeway to post within the rules, yet keeps my inbox from being filled with angry messages about how a story is bad/wrong/offensive by readers who were blindsided. And before you think that doesn't happen, I had a paranormal take a bite out of another one and freaked a reader out and needed to beef up my content warning, so yes, it can happen.
  7. Awww, thank you @Mann Ramblings and @Renee Stevens and @Headstall ❤️ I'm always so flattered when I'm told the characters are realized well enough that the readers really want to get to know them! *muah* Makes my day!!

    Chapter 27

I hastily folded the map and thrust it inside my pocket. Withdrawing my blade, I scanned our surroundings. We were on a trail through tall grass that grew in a waving blanket, broken in patches by large tumbles of stone taller than two or three men high. It was the perfect place for an ambush; there was a million places for someone or something to hide. Or a whole damn army. “Hsst,” I hissed, catching Tinn’s attention where he lead the group. Those large ears grew rigid, quivering faintly.
  9. Okay, so I admit it... this month's feature is all about a comfort read for me! I recently re-read Rob's Degan Chronicles stories, cause... awesome. Yes. I've loved Rob's work since I found him way back when on another site, and I cheered when he came to GA. His fans are legion, of course, so I know a lot of GA persons have read this story as well. If not... well, maybe many of us have some time on our hands while the whole world tries to stay healthy? What better way than reading? Timber Pack Chronicles by @Rob Colton Length: 93,326 Description: The object of Parker Montgomery's crush is big man on campus Colton Butler, who is much more than he appears to be. Colton has been watching Parker from a distance, patiently waiting for the day when he will finally be able to claim his destined mate. When Parker is threatened by a rogue wolf, Colton's instincts take over and he finds that his actions have consequences that threaten to tear his pack apart. A reader said: Captivating characters, compelling storyline, electric erotic action, this story hits the mark on all of the above. Great work all around, thank you. ~Miles Long Don't forget to come back to comment on the discussion day on Monday, May 25th.
  10. Lol @Marty Supposed to say "not" but fell victim to spellcheck as I was using my phone.

    Chapter 26

The sun was setting when I got my answer. Tinn and Wenn refused to say, their already large eyes getting wider. They kept their ears swiveling as we entered the trees and didn’t stop as we traveled between the blackened trunks. It wasn’t as if they’d been burned. There was no scent of smoke in the air. None of the strong smells like that emitted from my forge as I fed it hardwood to make coal beds to craft metal into artistic marvels. No. These were… sick? Dead? There was a scent of somethi
  12. @Brayon Please make sure your story still fits within the PwP, Plot, what Plot? story rules. Stories need to be expanded beyond sexual content to have a purpose and storyline outside of that theme, and the sex scenes should never be more than 50% of the overall plot. The level of graphic content isn't so much the problem in some "Nifty" stories as much as many of them are unremitting sex. That's now how real life works, and we do want to ensure stories on GA show that as well.
  13. Well, it's come already. Can't believe it! How has spring come had flown so fast? We're already approaching May, but not before we chat about this month's featured short series, Clockwise, by Aditus. Did you read the series? Do you have a favorite story out of the four? I wonder if it matches his favorite? Read on to find out!! Do you eat your fruits and vegetables? I’m vegetarian, so, yes I eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Chocolate or Vanilla? What’s vanilla without chocolate? Both! What's your favorite room in your house? Do you plot or write there? In winter it’s the living room/office. I sometimes space out and stare at the slowly moving reflections of the rock crystals hanging from the curtain rods, and plot. In summer I love to write in a room part house, part garden. What’s something personal about you people might be surprised to know? I own a book with the title Vegan Food Porn. That’s probably not really surprising, though. Maybe I learn and collect swear words in as many different languages I can find is a better answer to the question. What do you like to do when you’re not writing? Reading of course. As we have many great exhibitions here, I also like visiting those, especially photo exhibitions. Then there's gardening, traveling, and slow-walking the dog who is very old by now. What’s the best part of being an author? Having an excuse for having a permanent movie theater in my mind and being able to show the films to others. Clockwise has 4 stories. Which is your favorite? The third story. I looked at so many different houses. In a way, I planned my dream house while I wrote 9:05 PM. Did you start writing the first story intending to do 4 different stories in the series, or did they just evolve that way? I wanted to write four stories for four consecutive anthology themes. I needed a connective element and thought a clockface with its division into four quarters would make sense. The ending… *cries* Did you plan to wrench hearts on purpose from day 1? No! Each story just happened and was inspired by something different. Would you like to share anything about your current or upcoming works with readers? I’m currently writing a story inspired by comicfan’s Bloody Valentine prompt. My editor thought it has the potential to become something longer: a novella or even a novel. I’m also working on a murder mystery story ‘The Puppeteer.’ Don't forget to share your thoughts about the stories below!

    Chapter 25

“We will go with you.” “No. I won’t take you away from your family, especially since you were just reunited with your son.” I crossed my arms over my chest, expecting Tinn’s ears to roll like Tinn’il’s always did when he curled into himself and hid away. The locus was not nearly as meek as his son. Clearly that had been a feature of Tinn’il being young, not a trait the Beings possessed as a matter of course. “He was brought home safe because of you. You have young who are not yet safe.

  16. Well, no foolin' April is half over! Serious! We are rolling right along into a new season, the year is a third over already, and there's no time like the present to take some time for yourself to enjoy a story. How about a fanfiction of Harry Potter? The wizarding world is always a fun vacation stop! Length: 133,106 Description: Harry Potter's sixth year started with Draco attacking him in revenge for his father's capture at the Ministry of Magic A Reader said: Never been a fan of this universe even though I have watched the films. I actually skipped pass this series of books while lookingredients for books to real but decided to give it a shot anyway and I pretty surprised that I've enjoyed this. Read this whole book in 1 day. On to the second! ~ VoiceGS If you want to spread the word about dkstories' story, download the graphic below and add it to your signature! Make sure you come back on Wednesday to see the excerpt I chose to share!
  17. There are 8 blank images uploaded to your gallery. This may be a bug, but then you were able to add a screenshot after those 8 blank images...which makes me wonder if this wasn't an issue of your internet having speed issues preventing the file from uploading?

    Chapter 24

“Is that why he was stolen?” Londe asked. “It was my fault,” Serai said. Her ears started to curl, and she rubbed her face against Tinn’il’s head. “My baby was taken from me.” Squeaks broke out through the group, and the adults all looked up, fear writ across their furry features. Several darted back into their holes. I frowned, but the squeaks came again, this time from some of the young who were dancing around Marces’ hooves. “It’s fine. We’re safe,” Tinn called. “What you

    Chapter 23

Tinn’il took one look at the mist and withdrew inside my cloak. I glanced over my shoulder. “Londe?” His horn was glimmering, but he was calm. “I don’t sense anything.” Anything evil, he meant. “Are we going in there, Papa?” Colete asked. She was leaning on Londe. He hung his head over her healing withers, gently nosing her cheek. “We have to, Tera says. This is the way to Tinn’il’s family.” I didn’t want to take my family through the mist, but I couldn’t leave them behind un

    Chapter 22

Tinn'il has had a pretty traumatic life so far, and she didn't exactly inspire confidence snatching him. True, he was hostile and attacked her. But remember, she stole the locus from him and he's very protective. Plus he has some... history. It'll be an interesting journey, to say the least. LOL! Right? Nothing has been simple for this guy for a long, long time. Hmm... using a jar and keeping the mist. Never thought about that. I wonder if he did? Thanks for reading and commenting, everyone!

    Chapter 14

He's so cute. I guess I just can't avoid putting in cute little characters. Didn't consciously make him a Furby, but that kinda fits, LOL Yes, they deserve it. Just why is it so important? That will be revealed, but how? Can it speak? Hm....

    Chapter 13

Yes, that's a big question mark still to come. Then again, he's getting more and more clues along the way of a direction to go to find out who or what is stalking his family. Oh, good pick up on the red herring and the hint. Useless One... what could that mean, and who wouldn't be useless??? Watching the trolls, controlling the trolls, stealing FROM the trolls? Hmmm.... Oh, look at you extrapolating all that subtext!!

    Chapter 12

It is evil and yucky and... there's a lot our main character doesn't know, since he was isolated with the 'pure unicorns' for so long, so I can't share it either. But yeah, it's gonna die because it's hurting his young. Right?!! All you want to do is just crush whatever is making them hurt/sick/sad, etc... Or, you know, stab them to death. LOL

    Chapter 10

Yes, he does. Just a big ole softie protector. So definitely want to stay on his good side.
