  1. I tend to name random stuff. My comp is "Pandora" for all the trouble it causes me, my HUMVEE in the Army was Bertha because it was big and never moved, and my various M-16s had names: Charlene, Cindy and Liza. Actually I think that may be a bit strange.....................

    America

I have to agree with everything you said Dave. Since I came to live here, I've fallen in love with the place, it's become home. Here are a few things I love about it: Despite their intense differences in religion, beliefs, and political ideologies, Americans band together like no other group in the face of adversity. Americans at large are very open warm hearted people. Americans have created a society in which a patchwork of different cultures have come together to form a bond of strength that has yet to be broken. All I can say is that after living in the UK and here, and seeing alot of the rest of the world it dosen't take long to realise that despite the small problems, it still is a great piece of country.
  3. I've lived in a few places and this is what I've actually heard: 1). Ginger-In Wales my grandparents always used this word. 2). Fizz-Wales 4). Pop-Delaware, 5).Soda-Delaware, and when I was stationed in Georgia 6). Coke-when I was stationed in Texas I never use soda, I just say what I want like "Gimme a sprite"
  4. Happy birthday!!!
  5. I just spent a good chunk of the day (and my phone bill), calling the few relatives I have in London. Thankfully all are ok. My heart goes out to the victims and their families. I also hope that the people who are responsible for the attack on my mother land are hunted down and brought to justice like the vermin they are!!!
  6. Couldn't have picked a finer city *cough Cardiff cough* but thank god the UK got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Good for them! I do have to ask though, why do conservatives in the church feel that endorsing same sex marriage would cause the collapse of their organization?
  8. An all gay channel, now thats a novel idea.
  9. Hmmmm.....I'm not a huge sci-fi fan (like Star Wars, Trek, etc)...but I started watching SG1 and it isn't all that bad. I guess the new season will blow from what I've heard/seen, but what can you do???
  10. Patrick, I am so very sorry for the loss that your family has suffered. Words can never be enough to douse the grief that you all feel. I can only offer my deepest respects, and prayers that you all make it through this trial intact. God keep and bless you and yours.
  11. In the immortal words of Dr. King "Free at last Free at last thank god almighty he's free at last." Enjoy your time Com
  12. I feel out of place here. I only have like 2 pair of tennis shoes, a pair of running shoes, a pair of dress shoes, a pair of sandals, and like 4 pairs of flip flops. I guess it's because I keep my shoes until I wear them out.
  13. I think its a nicely done piece of work, the violence factor adds depth to the plot. Just right.

  15. Com- Thanks for all the selfless work you've done for so long. The collection of stories you've created are a shining example of everything any fledgling author would wish to emulate. For readers such as myself it has been a treat to peruse your works, especially the GFD series. I wish you all the success in life, and hope you have a good long rest from all the hours of writing. Thanks!!!!
  16. Robniel sounds more high class. You're right Danbert sounds like a rednecks name
  17. I have to admit that I actually like his show. His "pithy" comments are highly amusing. It's an insult to the true spirit of the media.
  18. My personal belief is that he is a total whackaloon full blown freakjob... That being said, I think the jury did what it was supposed to do. There was resonable doubt so MJ was spared. He'll try to make a comeback album because he needs money, and that'll be the end of this drama cycle.
  19. I think telling stories from different points of view, help to enhance the overall effect the author may want to impose. It takes a skilfull author to pull this off though, and in the wrong hands can make a story choppy and fragmented.
  20. Sweet!!! This makes for a good B-day present! Thanks Com, been looking forward to this for a while.
