It was their old stadium, but they didn't own it, the city did so they had no control. That was the issue and why they left. The SD voters turned down the city spending any money on a new stadium. The Padres left first, moving to Downtown SD and the stadium continued to age with no upgrades or improvements. I wish they'd built the new stadium a bit bigger, like 45,000, not 35,000, but they built it with room to add in the end zones.

It wasn't the Chargers stadium, it belonged to the city and was the home of the SD Padres, SDSU Football, and various soccer teams. The Mexican Men's National Soccer Team played a lot of "home" matches there when people thought Mexico was too dangerous. San Diego Started out in what became known as "University Heights" because the university was there, San Diego Normal School.

Yes, that sounds more like the Jack we've known for "all these years". Thanks Mark for the posted schedule and your devotion to your craft to keep up such a demanding pace. I guess I am not understanding Marie (Grandmaman) and why she is so angry with Will. Will has does MANY things that would justify half the room being mad at him, but people get over slights eventually. This isn't how a grandparent acts towards a grandchild.

But that is the difference, between disliking Will's antics and thinking he gets away with way too much krap and disliking Will personally.

Oooo, did you ever see The Tunnel? One of my favorite all-time British dramas. The law firm that funded the attacks on Travis using Curtis Buck's money probably has a codicil that if they don't carry out the terms of the trust, don't get paid. Petrovic won't be killed by unknown enemies, he'll be killed by his own people with the consent of the hire ups because he was careless enough to let his activities be cataloged. If Petrovic is to survive he needs to take out Fellowes first, once he knows what Fellowes knows and that he can secure the files Fellowes has. I think Jack has checked himself into a clinic; maybe Switzerland, maybe Arizona or Wyoming, because he has come to realize what his philandering is costing him. He was okay losing Claire, but he isn't okay losing his kids and everyone at Escorial. I actually don't agree with any of that. Since when hasn't Jack liked Will? For 25 years or so Jack has been the nicest, most decent male in the entire series. I don't think he suddenly flips into Dr. Evil because he got a hankering for a taste of honey. It is a mid-life crisis. You'd need to rewrite the entire character to get to him plotting against the family and with a shady dude like Buck the Fuck.

Are you SURE Will and Travis are two pot smoking, Malibu beach kids? I've never seen two people get fired up so fast on trivial crap or before knowing the circumstances. All the pot smoking, Malibu beach kids I know are so mellow you wonder if they are conscious. Masa. Oh I love Masa. His restaurant on Rodeo Drive was my father's favorite. He probably ate there twice a week, usually with clients so the firm paid the hefty tab. People blink when I walk into Masa and he greets me by name and they wonder, "who the fuck is he". NYC is all about prestige and appearances and people don't like it when someone else appears to have more than they do. 🤣

Thanks Mark for the latest chapter. I appreciate the time and effort it takes crank out so consistently. Obviously the whole family is going to be at a surprise party for Jeremy, that is why Jacinta is coming along. I hope Matt & Wade make it. More twists on who is really in charge of the plot against Travis. I hope Fellowes dies a slow, painful death.

Jeremy did spend his younger years at the Malibu beach houses, but he wasn't a beach person. He didn't surf, boogie board, tan, anything. He has moved East and embraced the Hampton attitude. I bet he doesn't wear socks his Bass Weejuns.

John just needs to grow up. He is just another indulged, entitled kid who has never really had anyone say no to him and he's never had a reason to grow and mature. You never know what drives someone.
