  1. February pride!
  2. I'm assuming Nifty would have a few. Although you'd probably have to sift through a lot of plotless-sex (in other words, porn) to find an actual story. Edit: I just remembered that i actually started reading one sometime last year. i got bored somewhere around the 40/50th chapter, but if you're curious then go ahead. Singer by Tah the Trickster [Fictionpress.com]
  3. YAY MSTRKRFT! Were they good? The drumming in earlier Bloc Party was just amazing, i don't think they'll ever make anything better than Silent Alarm. Also, Ratatat!!!! completely agree, but Lex would probably be on my list as well. Onto what i listen to, i'm a bit everywhere. Don't really care much for genres or labels because lots of the stuff i listen to can be a bit wishy-washy, but according to wiki (i did a quick little search on artists i like) i listen to a lot of 'post-rock'. Whatever the f**k that means. The 'post-rock' ones: Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Bark Psychosis, God Is An Astronaut, A Silver Mt Zion (previously known as The Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band , also known as: the most depressing band ever.) A few other favourites off the top of my head: Massive Attack, Sunset Rubdown, Interpol, Of Montreal (only their Hissing Fauna album), M83, Bat For Lashes, Animal Collective, Portishead, Placebo, Brand New, Radiohead, UNKLE, Yeasayer, The XX, Arcade Fire, Girl Talk, Death From Above 1979, The National, Sam Cooke, The Magnetic Fields, Fever Ray. Something i found a few weeks ago: Spheres Of Fury by Hecq vs. Exillion I think the artist in me just adores the way it's filmed + it looks like fun. enjoy.
  4. For anyone that's interested, I did a little google search and found a website where you can watch all the previous episodes on megavideo including "Am i normal?" (season 3 episode 1) Here you go.
  5. poor guy
  6. Hahaha that's just kind of gory and gross but yeah it probably counts
  7. In year 7 (11 yrs old) my english class got taken to a cemetary to look around at the grave stones. Then we had to note down info from some of them and go write a story about the person and their life My teacher was morbid.
  8. I'd let them both die. Then to make myself feel better i'd adopt someone else's kid (they should preferably look like my dead son). I'd then give the kid my son's name, haircut, clothes and everything else, then just pretend my son was neither evil nor dead.
  9. Fruits Basket Buffy and Faith fighting ( i dont watch that much anime ) I also found a picture with the Lost cast as South Park characters, again not anime, i thought i'd share it anyway
  10. I definately agree with you about Admiral Adama and President Roslin from Battlestar Galactica I also think Chuck and Sarah from Chuck are a classic couple. They're just so good together. They're from different worlds yet they compliment each other really well and the whole underlying sexual tension that the producers built throughout the first couple of seasons was really effective even though really subtle and while it was building It allowed the audience to see how much they actually cared for each other. They're also just really cute together. Also, Kirk/Spock never actually a couple, i know, but still it's a funny thought.

    Heise

I just started reading your story Enigma and as i was watching the Heise video, a lot of the characters with long black hair reminded me of what Silver looks like in my head Great artist, very talented. And i love your story, only up to chap 8 though
  12. I'll see your hug and raise you a glomp , Thanks for the welcome *glomp* And if i didn't have school i'd be right there with you reading all day long. If only...
  13. *FANGASM*
  14. Donatella Versace Amy Winehouse I feel mean for say it, but it's true. I just wouldn't want to look like them.
  15. I'll always love Spirited Away but that's one anime compared to the many Pixar movies i love. I'm also one of the many people that absolutely love Death Note, but i don't really watch that much anime anymore. I prefer reading the Mangas. Although i also think that American comics are better than mangas because they just look so much better, they're sometimes in colour, and i appreciate and admire all the effort that goes into creating all those individual illustrations. To me, American comics (like the aforementioned Buffy: Season 8) are what i would consider art and although i acknowledge that Mangas can also be considered art as well, i just think the characters aren't as imaginative and sometimes just look like modified versions of other characters /tangent I don't think i can choose between American Cartoons and Anime, i've watched some really great stuff in both categories.
  16. *drool* i love those Also, one of the most poisonous plants in the world, Nerium Oleander, is actually a fairly common shrub in australia found everywhere (even my own front yard ). Looks kind of pretty, right? Well every single bit of the plant is toxic, apparantly even inhaling the smoking of burning oleander, or eating the honey of bees which had digested oleander nectar. I think i also heard that children can die from just eating one leaf Everytime we have to trim it everyone in my family is basically decked out in armour, so no one gets cut and poisoned
  17. Just thought i'd pop by and say i really (really really) love Crosscurrents. I read your previous version a little while ago. i think i prefer reading it in these weekly intervals though, i like anticipating what's going to happen and thinking about how everything's going to play out (even if i have a little headstart from before ). It's fun to be immersed in your story again, not like last time where i rushed through it all at once =] I also think you're just a brilliant writer and i really enjoyed It Started With Brian (It's the only story that's ever made me cry) Can't wait till tomorrow. YAY next chapter!
  18. I've been lurking around for a few months now so i thought i'd just introduce myself. My actual name is Supriya, i'm 17, live in Sydney and i'm an e-fiction-reading addict. It's kind of horrible in that i never get any actual work done at home because i'm constantly distracted. As soon as i finish a story, half an hour later i'm reading something else i've found. It's been that way since i was probably 11/12 and obsessed with Harry Potter fanfiction I'm also a bit of a dork (Doctor Who! Battlestar Galactica! and a bunch of other less dorky shows; weeds, dexter, chuck, hustle, buffy...) and a huge music lover. HUGE. Also love art and history. Hoping to become a graphic designer one day. I have this awful habit of just not sleeping enough and thinking there are a million better things to do with my time. I'm one of those "i'll sleep when i'm dead" people, although i usually end up feeling dead in the morning. (it's nearly 4am so i'll definately be feeling it later) My brother once told me "only boring people say they're bored" so ever since then i've found hundreds of ridiculous ways to entertain myself and it's probably why i'm interested in so many other different things as well. That's me in a nutshell, i guess. BOO!
  19. it's not hot at all here 15
  20. I like writers who understand that their readers are intellegent, imaginative and can take a hint. So although i like descriptive writting, sometimes it's nice having things a little vague to let me use my imagination. I also think that although authors try to convey certain journeys through their stories (be it phsycial, spiritual, emotional or imaginative), stories are often retreats and/or escapes for their readers, it's an imaginative journey for them as well and sometimes allowing them to fill in the blanks can help them relate more to the characters and events, possibly making it more enjoyable and realistic.
  21. hahaha ouch
  22. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=nYP1gxC9G6A ever since i finished reading It Started With Brian by Dan Kinkaid, that song always makes me really sad. It's the only song that's ever made me cry.
  23. No. Entertained the idea, quite a bit. never went through with it. My best friend, though, is another matter altogether. She's attempted it a few times and also hurts herself heaps. drugs, cutting, bad relationships. It got better for a while when she realised what it would do to her family, but i dont think the pain ever went away. Then after a particularly bad time she reverted back to her old self. She talks to me, tells me pretty much everything and so i kind of understand why she thinks the way she does. But i think the depression and lonliness are really what start killing people slowly from the inside, making them think that suicide is the way out.
