@Lugh: No kidding we are living in sin - so terrible. What will the crazies think? @Frosty: Thanks @KC: Evidently "Pottery Barn Kids" has it is picked out for us. They'll color coordinate everything, just come in an buy it. @Mike: First girl must me amazing for you and the family - congrats and enjoy - I agree with the whole Green thingy, but not so much on the second and definitely not the third LOL @Maria: She'll be fine, she wants the money As for handsome, that'll be Mike - everyone else is going to ask why he's marrying me Oh yeah, not going overboard on the Pink, just a few touches here and there. @Anyta: Well - we already 'know' so what - as Cia told me she knows someone who had 3 ultrasounds that said girl and then gave birth to a boy - I doubt that will be us, so I think the little bit of pink stuff we have/get won't be a problem

I never got to read this on the old eFiction, though I know it was wildly popular back then. Not sure what prompted me to start this now, but I like how you write and can see why you had/have so many fans. Wonderful ending by the way - nice twist. Guess I found something new to read Andy

Thanks Phana When I posted this on the old eFiction people asked if there was a longer story involved, I said no. I still think this stands alone, though it might be interesting to see how Jason's life mores on from here. Hmm food for thought Thanks again

Chapter 20: Heart to Heart
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Dark's story chapter in Chapter 20: Heart to Heart
That was all I got out of that was So the two are finally together but the Prince does or doesn't know? Seems the tricked him into thinking the bond didn't work, but what happened at the end? I read it a couple times and I'm still  Help?? [Like post the rest so I figure it out? ] -
That was really - um interesting. Is three times a record? I mean I remember two with David, two with Riley, so Chase is three - other than Kyle - who by the way still seems a bit stuck on Cooper - this is a new record for Cooper. Oh and by the way - when I said last chapter - and we can't respond to your responses to our comment btw - that Kyle wasn't looking for a rebound, I mean he was tracking down Rusty to get back in the Sigma. Clearly Kyle was willing to give it up for Cooper, but if there was no Cooper why not? Ugh, you're still a bad man for this LOL

Gasp - everyone doesn't like us? Shocking Welcome, and try not to believe everything you read in the paper about us, those are generally just the bad examples anyway Andy

Hey Newbie from Scotland - Oh my but what's next is terribly loaded question Where to start Personal favorites of mine are - in No particular order (In)visible - by Anyta Sunday The Bridgemont Series by Mark Arbour Hostage - by Nephylim is amazing - and not just because I got a shout out at the end Cia's Escaping the Pain is quite good If you dig Sci-fi Adamagicka by Hamen Cheese was also kick ass. Not to double dip, but Enigma by Nephylim was very good. If you like Fan Fiction, Tests of Blood by AllenSmithee was really well done Lugh wrote some amazing short stories for the Anthologies which is helpfully bundled into a collection that you can download if you like Anything by Dom Luka is always worth reading. I also enjoyed, Raven: The Hands of Ada Those are stories that are done - and there are a ton more that you could go to as well but that's just a brief selection of personal favorites

Four months from today is the 'Due Date' for the baby - so like 17 weeks or so and my life is over Surprisingly there's been no new baby momma drama - well not since two weeks ago when she called to complain the check the bank sent her was not drawn on a bank in her area so she had to wait 'three whole days' for the check to clear to get her money and would I call the bank to find out why they didn't send a check she could cash. Yeah, um no sorry, not doing that. Pretty much everything else is going as expected. Everyone is excited, Mike is busy looking at baby clothes, blankets, bonnets, whatever - and I am trying to stop him, we are trying to decide on colors for the baby room - we are leaning toward light green with some pink - er ... well Mike is leaning toward that, I'd leave it as it is - yellow. Seeing babies now is such a different experience. Before I wanted one, now I'm scared cause I'm having one lol. Honestly, we are excited, probably naively so, but still excited. Mike is always saying stuff like, if our daughter does that ... or our daughter isn't going to be like that etc. Watch, everything we don't want is gonna happen. He is already picking out kids she can and cannot have contact with lol We've started the paperwork to have her parental rights terminated, so when she gives birth, she has no rights. We've got to get the paper work to the hospital so that when the baby is born they know not to give her to the surrogate. That seems to be Mike's biggest concern, that they will make a mistake, give the baby to her and she will fall in love with it and disappear. I keep trying to reassure him that she isn't organized enough for that. But watch her prove me wrong again. Added to the list of things we need to do before the baby is born is, get married. We thought about DC but the republican's in congress are making noise about adding a rider to some appropriations bill calling for the repeal of the gay marriage law in DC. We figure we need to go to a more stable state - since Maryland will recognize other states gay marriage - won't allow it on the own, but heck you can spend the money elsewhere to get married and be recognized here. Probably go to New England somewhere to do it, but we gotta get a move on it, summer is almost here and that's it. We don't want our daughter born out of wed lock Going to go enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend, and try to keep Mike out of baby stores, or sections of department stores. Andy

Thanks for posting this. Mike and I are about to become parent's in September and hopefully we'll never encounter someone like the actress/waitress, but if we do, it's nice to see people's attitudes are supportive. I think your comment about the south has a bad rap is accurate to a point - I think you will find a LOT of people just like those in the Diner that stood up for the parents. The bad rap comes from the legislation that is passed and comments of the politicians. My guess is, and I have no proof to support this so it is just my opinion, that in places like MD, Mass, NY, DC. which are considered liberal, it is considered bad form and perhaps even political suicide to bash anyone, including gays. Perception might be the biggest detriment. That said I think these things are changing everywhere. I wonder how many Texas politicians watched that thinking, if almost half the Diner voiced an objection - there had to be another 25% or so that agreed with the objections but failed to speak up. Oh one last comment, Mr. High Five - what a coward. It's fine to give her a thumbs up and a high five in anonymity but when confronted with his 'beliefs' and his bigotry, he suddenly doesn't have the courage to stand up for what he 'believes'. Typical. Thanks again, Mike and I watched it with smiles.

The system doesn't announce who's new [well except at the bottom of the forum page and then it only shows the name of the last person to join not all who joined that day], so unless you walk up and wave electronically like you did, no one really knows you're new. I didn't know this part of the site existed when I joined so I've never welcomed here either and I've been here a hot minute. BUT since you did let us know you were new: WELCOME!!!!! Glad you are here. Andy

So they are bonding them together so they can get the information from Kynan. Interesting, smart, devious and poor Alan. But in the 'there's always a bright side' if one dies the other dies. So now Kynan has a way to preserve his secret - kill Alan and he dies too. So let the mind games begin.

Chapter 18: A Prince’s Anger
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Dark's story chapter in Chapter 18: A Prince’s Anger
Aure better find a way to help them. He just committed a grave error. If the Prince takes over, well watch out eh? God that was emotional, so well done Monsieur Dark, -
okay so Chartley's a twat but at least he's a brave one. And Clifton will make Captain soon, another valuable political ally for George and kin. SO Bertie is rearing his charming head to harass George yet again, only this time he's drawn in Freddie and possibly his Father the Earl There is no end to the problems you throw at our boy is there?
-
Chartley is quite the arse now isn't he? You think that after the pasting they got at Oran, they'd not do something as silly as attack Belvidera again. Even with the attempt at Klingonese 'this is a good day to die' no one thinks George is gonna go that easily
-
SEE!!! Villiers isn't so top notch after all - Like I said, the fact he was nothing like Fitzwilliam and Clifton spoke poorly for his being a fine officer Ah yes, another youth for Granger to show the way it should be done, such a trooper. And this time he found himself with an Some guys have all the luck.
-
It seems so funny that no one in the Navy realizes that Granger is THE Biggest Sodomite in the fleet. They all send him midshipmen who've been abused sexually to heal. Too funny Granger's ranger is gonna get him in trouble sooner or later. He needs to keep the one eyed trouser snake safely tucked away. But we all know THAT won't happen anytime soon
-
Well tit for tat eh? Granger got Clifton from Jervis, Jervis got Darby from Granger. I love the diversity of your work Mark, the way you handle the various captains, admirals, etc. You don't need me to say this but you have great touch for not only story telling but character development. The example from this chapter is Nelson. You portray his as something of a child in a candy shop when he is given a task that involves action. His energy and zeal are so real I can almost see and hear him on deck telling Granger what he wants.
-
Mr. Roberts doesn't get enough attention. I suspect if he were more intimate with the Captain, the Captain's wife, fellow sodomites and senior officers would do their level best to see him promoted. But alas all he is is merely an outstanding first officer. It would also appear the Royal Bastard was quite skilled in his approach. Did he learn that from his father
-
Gracious me - the Belvidera is turning into the HMS Royal Bastard I wonder if Traver's letter will in fact salve his conscience? It is tough to lose a loved one. The revelation about Darby is interesting, but then all your twists are interesting. We shall have to see what becomes of this.

Killing John Travers was necessary I suppose - in war, good men die. Good men who someone or many someone's love. As I said before you are cruel to Geroge's lovers. Soon he will be like the plague - touch him and be maimed or wounded most cruelly. Still a very said chapter. Realistic but sad.
-
Gotta suck that every time he goes to sea he has to share his cabin with someone or another. If it's not wounded lovers, or tricks, it's important people and the what not. The reporter must really rankle him. One wonders how much the reporter is going to delve into. Then of course their is the Lady Jersey's son. really can't hurt to have the Prince personally ask you to take on a midshipman. But it was funny, I never considered that Albert might be wary of being mistreated because of the feud his mother and Granger's mom were having lol. God I'm a dunce!! Sorry for being so verbose today - but WInkler's comment that Albert would be a good officer, seems unsupported by his examples. Both FitzWilliam and Clifton have turned into excellent officers. Albert's conduct is nothing like theirs so where's the link?
-
Seems just as George - errr.... Sir George can settle down and enjoy a few accolades, whomp, no so But then again, lucky he is getting out of port, if he stayed much longer, there'd be no room on the ship with all the people the Prince and Lord Spencer keep heaping on him. Do they realize this is not a ship of the line Nice start Mark
