Sorry to be just getting back to this but it was a hectic couple weeks. My oh my the tangled web. I have to say I do like Bill, he seems like a decent sort. I agree with TAR that maybe he ought to keep his distance from Jed. I wonder how long it's gonna take for the two by four to hit Tar and he realizes Doc is gay too ???

Not to be too much of a downer, but a) it won't be done for a while and b ) it won't pick up where SS left off. It will probably be a bout 5 years later. Beyond that I'm not sure of much and the much I am sure of I am not talking about.

If by the ending you mean chapter 50 - yeah that was a mistake - it was more of a teaser for a short story than the ending of this one. If by the ending you mean the end of 49 - well . . . Remember that Anyta's is about the host before Gar/Will it is not him, but I understand your comments, it is a very different feel from my take on the character(s). I won't say I won't accept others - and since no one else seems inclined to write one it probably won't be an issue - but I can say if the offered 'piece' has to do with Will/Gar or Ryan I'm going to be very careful before I post it for the reasons you stated. Having finished posting Second Shot on GA, I started to post it on Nifty, after someone suggested I cross post it. They are good enough to allow me to link readers there to GA so I wanted to mention them here in return. So if you get a change you can see what it looks like over there or you can go check out other stuff as well. Also as an aside - I had a bit of a bet with myself - pretty good odds on winning this one - that no one was really reading the forum other than this thread and maybe Purpose here and there. But there is a Second Shot announcement where announcements go on my site so if you're reading this, know that there is something else posted elsewhere. Nuff said.

Probably what is going to happen, this one won't get posted until it's done, but it won't be even half as long as Second Shot. So hopefully it'll get done before my daughter goes to school. [preschool that is]

Thank Phana - you know writing this helped in a way with the transformation we're seeing in the current chapters. Will couldn't go soft at this point because he was little by little giving up his humanity until the result was Gar. And it was that - 'please don't kill me' moment that marked the end of Will and the beginning of Gar's transcendence. At least in my little skull

Okay so this is something of a test for me - to see how many people who read and liked Second Shot are still reading - yeah a tick narcissistic I suppose but it won't be a 'hey let me know if you're still reading my stuff' post. For reasons unknown to me I have suddenly had an inspiration for a sequel. And I put down my thoughts on chapter's one and two and a story board that maps out the new plot etc. This one is going to be from Peter's perspective. Beyond that - I can't say much. Instead of Jason and Darryl, Bryce - Peter's best friend will have much more prominent role in the story. I'm not sure how many other characters will be back from school, but Mrs. G will be there as will Hurricane Barbara and the rest of the Henry/Tellerman clan. It's gonna take some time to get it together but I figured I tease y'all with this notion and say chapter one is in the works. Andy

Barrington can't wrap his mind around what Gar is enough to know he's got no chance.
