Well another unsettling chapter. Poor Shafte. War is hell and it is to be expected I suppose. Just he seemed like a good kid - with a sweet ass of course. George is now understanding a bit more of why Travers wants to keep distance from the crew physically. Too bad it had to be Julian that taught him that lesson.

How convenient that Travers was shooting blanks until George shows up with orders to reload. - what?? you think your the only one who can write loaded sentences

Ah the irresistible George Granger - wanted by many, had by many - it's amazing HE doesn't have the rep of a sodimite given how many 'semen' he's done

At this rate George is going to be the richest man in the fleet. And really 13 coins up the anie? What's that about? Hoping to sneak off with a few in case folks found the others George may have found himself a match in Jeffers though I am not sure. Between f**king Chiton and getting f**ked by Jeffers, George seems to have quite the stable. Oh it is good to see George hasn't tried to do Winkler, that would boarder on incest after all.

So once the plan works and once Napoleon - in his pre-emperor days - thwarted them. At least George got a command out of this, if only temporary. And what is he doing leering at every man on board? Now he is gonna do Chilton? Geez he and Travers are going to be trading notes on who is better in bed than who at this rate.

Travers and Chilton - hmm. Seemed a problem from the start and so it is. George is just the wonder of the Western World isn't? Get out of prison passes from the French, devising ways to take out the battery, solving the love problems of young love struck Middies - on and providing mind blowing [no pun] sex to one Commander Travers - all this with the body and looks of a god. Where can I find me one?

Knight is something of a real Douche isn't he?? Even Nelson knows it. Not that history hasn't painted Admiral Nelson in a good light already but you certainly help the cause here Mark . Got to say that after what Carmody did, George took a big risk to save him - but then again it was really the Douche who was to blame, wasn't it. Though Carmody seemed a bit too eager to carry out his 'orders'

Uff, Aure just condemn Kynan and Alan if Jacen and Duncan don't do something to help. Then again, maybe Aure is going to end up dead too - he didn't seem too keen on tangling with the Earth Elemental the last time they came in contact. Great chapter, nice BIG cliff you left us on. Good job

What an apt question for me today . I voted for 30. Now mind you that 30+ doesn't make you old, but I think once you get to 30 you can't say - 'oh I'm still young' or 'it was a youthful indiscretion.' For me age is a state of mind too, but it would be rather sad if I went around with an on line name of "Young (fill in the blank)" Again this is just when is it you are no longer young. I can still keep up with the 16 year olds on a soccer field when I referee so I don't think of myself as old, but I am certainly no longer young.

Yeah well sometimes things happen. I think being in the closet and having a steady beau you want to spend time with while at the same time trying to keep your straight friends is hard. One of those things has to give - in my case it was being in the closet AND the steady - so I wasn't too good at managing things

I had to laugh about your comment about first kiss after taco bell. I think my first 'gay' kiss was after a night of drinking and I don't recall being too concerned about how his or my breath was at the time, only getting 'some.' SO perhaps that was a tad unrealistic.

That was a rather sober chapter. I am not sure I could have written that. Not to say it wasn't deserved BUT still. And what is George doing falling for the aptly named Shafte? So much for his undying love for Travers. Hmm. bet that is gonna be a fun reunion.

I was going to leave it at that, but well poor Shafte [cute name btw] my one disappointment was we never quite learned what he did that invoked such ire from his fellow midshipman. Me think Master Arbour, in your zest to get to the naughty bits you skimmed over the details.
