Geez, I didn't realize it was that small! You can barely drive across Houston in two hours (actually you don't stand much of a chance of pulling that off at all unless it's the middle of the night  ) -Kevin

Hey Mike Awww, well YOU mean alot LOL! I did that for over an hour and a half today myself! Oh my gosh! What a bitch! WOW! This is so scary! I'm so glad you're okay though! Well I'm glad the dinner went well! Oh man! That sucks I'm so sorry, dude Try to remember though that she was probably pretty upset herself that evening. It's no excuse, but it may be the reason. Ohh I feel so bad for you. I hope the rest of your week is MUCH MUCH better, and I hope everything works out okay with Rayna Good luck and take care Kevin P.S. I love that song! Thanks so much for telling me about it

Dude! That's so not what I was saying! Oh my gosh, you've GOT to lighten that load! You're gonna frickin' die! Seven uncommitted hours in a day IS NOT enough, and they're also at the wrong time of the day! Eughh, I'll stop bitching and mind my own business, but wow, please take some more time for yourself! Wait a minute, do you mean to tell me that you were seeing "the son of a preacherman"? Sorry, just couldn't resist the bad joke. Actually I think boys from religious backgrounds are HOTT! Ohh, Joe, I'm so sorry for you guys I hope you have/had ALOT of fun, and I hope you can work out some kinda way to stay in touch. don't get me started on caffeine. Especially as a substitute for sleep! GRRr Sorry, if I seem like I'm being nosy and overbearing, but please try to get some sleep and get off the caffeine. **grabs the Red Bull away and hands Joe a pillow instead** Good luck with everything, and take care Kevin

Against Me - Thrash Unreal If she wants to dance and drink all night then theres no one that can stop her. Shes going until the house lights come up or her stomach spills onto the floor. This night is going to end when were damn well ready for it to be over. Worked all week long now the music is playing on our time. We do what we do to get by, and then we need a release. You get mixed up with the wrong guys. You get messed up on the wrong drugs. Sometimes the party takes you places that you didnt really plan on going. When people see the track marks on her arms she knows what theyre thinking. She keeps on working for that minimum, as if a high school education offered any other options. They dont know nothing about redemption. They dont know nothing about recovery. Some people just ain't the type for marriage and family. No mother ever dreams that her daughters going to grow up to be a junkie. No mother ever dreams that her daughters going to grow up to sleep alone. Shes out of step with the style. She dont know where the actions happening. You know the downtown club scene ain't nothing like it used to be. You reach a point where theres not a lie in the world that you could use to make the boys believe your still in you twenties. Shes not waiting for them to come over and ask for the privilege. She can still here that Rebel Yell just as loud as it was in 1983. There ain't no Johnny coming home to share a bed with her and she doesnt care. No mother ever dreams that her daughters going to grow up to be a junkie. No mother ever dreams that her daughters going to grow up to sleep alone. If she had to live it all over again you know she wouldnt change anything for the world.

LOL, exactly! If I were you I'd worry about where you're going to find room to put it!

1) Artichokes! They're so good! I hadn't had one in far too long, but tonight I made one 2) My grandparents! They're really sweet and awesome and I'm very fortunate to have them in my life. 3) The ability to read Sounds silly I know, but it's a huge part of my life and brings me a great deal of pleasure. 4) 24 hour grocery stores I'm about to go do my shopping for the week and it's already 10:30 pm. How convenient! 5) My duvet It's so soft and comfortable, I really enjoyed lounging around in bed this morning.

OHHH! Looked like a giant alien head:P You're going to be great! Don't be nervous, what's the worst that could possibly happen? It's not like they're going to point and sling homophobic comments at you. I'm also sure that everyone will respect everyone else's right to privacy and honour the code of discretion. I'm really really proud of you for going, Robbie, and I really hope you can manage to have a couple conversations, or at least some friendly smiles, with some of the other people at the meetings. Awesome! Well, that's technically true, but let's be honest, anyone who sees someone walking around wearing that shirt IS going to wonder. I don't say this to freak you out, but merely to point out that you've already made a huge step, and if you think about it that's a much bigger, scarier step than just going to the meeting and hanging out with people who are bound to be accepting. Theoretically you could have run into some homophobic jerk or something while wearing the shirt, but I can almost guarantee everyone at the meeting will be accepting. "My what nice pecks that cute guy has!" Go with that Awesome! Sounds like your group is pretty receptive and open Seriously, I'm sure it'll be great and you'll have an awesome time! Take care and good luck! Kevin

Well, that's certainly understandable, but on the other hand I would have thought that a BBQ at which an echidna is the guest of honour is the sort of thing that sticks in one's mind.

Yeah, wow! I didn't even know English wasn't your first language, Liddy! Awww, thanks you two and you're definitely welcome Oh my gosh! I'm so excited for you, Ieshwar! I've been wondering what you had decided but I didn't want to intrude or be nosy. Congrats! I wish you both a great deal of love and happiness I have to run, but I'll post more things for which I'm grateful when I return Have an awesome day all! Kevin

Did you get it towed or taken somewhere yet? Car trouble sucks Good luck!

Hi everyone! I was just reading this article about how healthy it was emotionally to take time out of your day to reflect on the things, people, and occurrences which you feel grateful toward. Practicing gratitude can make you a happier, more positive, person, and it may even boost your immune system! So with that in mind I challenge each of you to list five things that happened to you today for which you're grateful(or that made you happy) and then to tell us about them (How did they benefit you? How did they make you feel?). I'll go first: 1) I'm grateful that a friend lent me an excellent and very enjoyable movie called Friends and Family. It was really funny I could not stop laughing during several parts 2) I'm grateful for having been able to spend time with a couple of friends today. We hung out, played pool, grabbed a bit to eat, then just sat around talking for awhile. It was really nice. 3) I'm grateful for croutons! I had a really nice salad for dinner, and they really made it so much better! 4) I'm grateful for quiet time alone. I was able to spend a good portion of time just relaxing and thinking about stuff. I really feel better and less stressed out when I can do this. 5) I'm grateful for having the type of job that afforded me these benefits today. Sometimes I feel stressed out about work, and like I'm always working, but it really is a flexible job and on days like today when I just want to take it easy and have time for myself or friends I can So what are YOU grateful for today? -Kevin

Of course everything isn't sunshine and roses, but if there's one thing I believe it's that there's no point dwelling on the negatives that you can't change. Certainly some people won't be embraced with open arms for coming out, but I think it's important for them to realize that that has nothing to do with them and more to do with how F**%ed up the people in their lives might be. By showing them that some people are accepted, that some families and friends DO realize what's important it not only gives them hope, but it gives them perspective. It says, "it's fine for some people and it can be fine for me as well". This hopeful message shouldn't just be directed at gays in the first place. It should be directed at the average person. Over and over again families should see that the proper, loving response to someone coming out is one of acceptance and not ostracism. If we can make the bigots and a$%holes feel like the shameful minority, GOOD! The other point is to actually remove the self-pitying, internalized homophobic crutch that a lot of gay people do have. By showing them that other people are getting along just fine I think it can often act as a kick in the backside to show them that they can and should overcome their own problems, because when it comes down to it no one is responsible for anyone else's happiness but the person themselves. There comes a point when you have to say, "F*&) the bitterness and bad luck" and get on with living the life you want to have. So if a little "positive propaganda" can give these people encouragement and hope, if it can raise the level at which they set their sights (even if they don't ever reach that level), if it can make them say "I want THAT life and I'm going to go and get it", then I say let's give it to them! Let's show them this message instead of "yeah, your life sucks, the people in your life sucks, and I guess you'll just have to accept it". Still, excellent point, Menzo. I definitely see where you're coming from even though I don't quite agree. -Kevin

What was the context? Was there any bondage involved? Perhaps the guy just couldn't bear the thought of loosing his boyfriend. Good points though, the it's/its thing irritates me as well. -Kevin
