  1. Amen. That is exactly how I remember it.
  2. I am JIM CARTER. I eat peanuts, but I have never grown one. I certainly don't claim to have been the leader of the free world back in my younger days.
  3. Not me the Brotherhood are sworn to kill anyone giving up anything about the Brotherhood.
  4. LOL, my teeth are still very well nestled into my head, not in a jar on the nightstand. You are incorrect about my temper as well. I don't get mad, I get even!!!!!! My wit may be a little lacking, but you have to give me some credit for trying. Oh and BTW the watch comment, I didn't respond to before because I didn't want to hurt your feelings, but I have to use the teeth to find that little thing. You are talking about your nipple are you not?
  5. Wait just a damn minute here. Are you pointing out my short cummings to some stranger, Sir Tricky Ricky?
  6. Perfect? Ha-ha, not likely. Most is a big admission for most of us.
  7. I agree with Ricky on most things he said and you know that is hard to admit.

    Chapter 49

I must say that his chapter has changed my opinion of the Jar-head. I have never liked him and always thought that Arthur was stupid to care about him. I'm glad no duel will be fought.
  9. Wow, we have a ton of story threads in this story now and all of them hold a lot of intrigue. Hopefully our Mr. Fitzwilliam will be smart enough to follow Sommers council and take much longer to get to England than he possibly could. I hope the Calvert haters are more happy now that he has a new love. I am sure that a few of them will find it as a reason to hate him more. I look forward to seeing all the treads diverge and them come back together.
  10. Well hard to guess what evil and twisted words will come tumbling out of Mark's devious mind. I am guessing that we will have to wait and see what he has in store for us. My guess is that Lord Granger will get in position to intercept (thanks to Sommers good sense to slow the leaders down), but get caught up in the battle and prevent Granger from catching up to Maidstone and having to kill him. With Sommers wise advice to Fitzwilliam hopefully Calvert will save the day.
  11. So predictable all it takes to get Brad from pissed to excited is a group of hot guys fighting for waves.
  12. Woot this is fantastic news. News so good I would kiss a toad, but Ricky is the only toad around and I decided I bit off more than I could chew.
  13. Great chapter. The thing that surprised me most in this chapter is Bertie evidently making it clear that he never expects to return to England. It must have been hard for him to reconcile himself to that fact.

    Chapter 47

Great chapter. I was a little surprised to see that Bertie has evidently decided that he will never return to England. I can't wait to see your description of Granger as a woman.
  15. Thanks for the explanation Mark. Now I won't stay up at night wondering.
  16. Since Mark has chosen not to enlighten us on why he chose to brand the left hand, we will just to have to accept it as something we may never understand. I am surprised that any of them ever found another member.
  17. Can we get away from the tequila and get back to Granger and the story. I hate tequila, I haven't done tequila shots since the 70's and the only times I have been stupid drunk it was on Margaritas and sicker than a dog the next day. I think will stick to beer. I am serious about us getting back on topic of the story.

    Chapter 46

Very surprising, but I am confident Jar-head and Granger will be fucking before the trip is done. Good thing his head has to be covered too. Blondes are not very common either.
  19. While we are on the subject of killing Ricky for outing the brotherhood, there is one question that keeps haunting me as not making much sense. Why did they brand the left hand? Did people back then shake left handed? The right hand would seem to make more sense, then you could tell your brothers when you shook hands and didn't have to hold hands to find out?

    Chapter 45

I usually use the forums instead of reviews. I don't know what the deal is with reviews, but they have a habit of disappearing before I can add them on my laptop. I also don't like that you are limited to one and can't edit it. Loved this chapter, but as with all of these chapters can hardly wait to see what happens next. With the subtle references to the guide not be introduced yet, I can't help but think it must be important to the next few chapters at least.
  21. I have a sneaking suspicion that Colonel Wellinsley is trying to talk his brother into letting him guide Granger to his destination.
  22. This is supposed to be a secret brotherhood. It's membership is bound by honor to protect that secret I guess all of us will have to kill you on sight for exposing some of our members.
  23. I for one am concerned about this new guide. I am also. disappointed in Chartly. Once again he runs out on Granger. With his only friends Winkler and Jacobs with him, our hero is putting his life in the hands of someone recommended by a person that has shown his dislike for Granger. The more we see the double dealings and actions of John's Company men, it seems that all are worse than a nest of snakes.
  24. Although not as slow as she once was, Calvert's ship is still considerably slower than Humphrey's ship. I don't think there is enough sail around that would let Calvert catch up. I'm fairly sure that I remember George left orders for Calvert, so I'm sure he will be on his way back to England as soon as he re-provisions. As far as Granger's trek overland, I think it more likely as to which enemy or new enemy he makes. Isn't he going through a good deal of Ottoman Empire? I probably should have tried to check this, but I thought it would be more fun to just throw something out into the forum and let everyone tell me how stupid my comment is. Snide way of saying too lazy to do the research myself.
  25. Ricky, I don't disagree with you very often, but is one of those times I do. I don't see blood and guts adding a quality to this story that makes everyone want to read it and can't wait for the next installment. Sure we know it is battle and there is blood and guts, but we don't have to have it described to make the battle seem real. I for one, wouldn't want to see this story turned into a slasher film. I think the level of detail Mark includes in his battles seems about perfect to me. Realistic enough that I get a real sense of the dangers and destruction that Iron flying through the air and splinters filling the air is plenty for me. That is what makes this story and the others of the series so exciting to read.
