Another fantastic chapter.
Now if we have some luck with finding cordage and other ship supplies.
For some reason that I can't explain a little tickling in my brain tells me that Lord Granger won't end up taking the Viceroy's offer.
I'm not fickle. No one compares to George. The only thing I was wavering about was my fear of saying something I shouldn't when we get one of those steep cliffs with no softening or escape in sight for another 3 or 4 weeks.
Although I would prefer a new chapter now, it might be better to wait if it one of those serious cliffies. I just might say something I MIGHT regret. As much as I love this story you could NEVER satisfy my need for Granger.
Damn it Mark, please tell us when you expect to give us our Granger fix.
I know I'm one impatient SOB, but what can I say. That is just me wanting another installment of my favorite story.
Another great chapter. Calvert doesn't seem to understand that his choice of a navy career and his desire for constant love one man just cannot happen.
I tried my damnedest to get my review in, but my cable modem was not having any of it. It is great when it works, but has been having a lot of trouble at night. I did get it in this morning. I trying to use reviews have been problematic in the past. I don't know what it is, but at times my touch-pad does something stupid and goes wild and I loose all that I typed. Doesn't seem to happen in the forums, so I use those instead of reviews most of the time. However this time only a sledgehammer to the modem was going to abate my frustrations. Last night I wasn't a happy camper.
my internet connection is unreliable at night and this my fifth attempt, but hopefully it will take this time.
I think you are wanting in the race fif cliffy king!!!!
Congrats Mark!
I make no bones that the Granger series is my favorite, but all of your stories are fantastic. You are the best at making me feel like I am immersed in your stories. You are a true story-telling artist.
Thanks for all your hard work.
It's Friday and I am starting to get the shakes needing my Odyssey fix. I know I am not the only Granger Junkie needing a fix.
You do such a good job of immersing us in the story that we can barely make it to our next fix.
I could
To be honest when I read that the Dons used native labor to man most of the ship I could hear the cogs in Granger's brain spinning. All he had to do was enlist his native friends to have a shot at the battleship.
It is nice to hear how Humpries and Fitzwilliam ended up in Chili. I think the way Granger laid out his plan to send the rescued men as prize masters gained him more than just willing sailors but they were excited by the possibly going home somewhat wealthier.
I am sure that our fearless heroes will devise a plan that will end up putting a 64 gun battleship in the Granger flotilla. I still think Granger might need a show of force when he takes on Maidstone.
I know it was the goat's fault the last to review/edit or whatever after this many days I think it safe to assume he/she doesn't want to review/edit this chapter or they would have by now. Just a personal opinion and we all know they are like assholes and we all have one.
Since you didn't even mention the chapter name, it must give a lot of information. Also since you continue to claim that you don't go near cliffs, your truthfulness might be in question. Well that is a little too harsh, but with your creative numbering and calendar, you must have given too much information in the title, or you would have told us as you usually do.
