Because that's the story I wanted to tell, lol! I haven't even contemplated further interactions between these two. But i'm writing two others; I have to finish Confounded II and I'm writing a fantasy/sci-fi tale. But that one won't see the light of day for years to come, I think.

CHAPTER 29 July 4th, 2011, Greenwich, CT. I never expected to end up happy. July 1st, 2011, Greenwich, CT. Two days later the long weekend arrived and I wished it would have been, oh...another ten years before it did. June 29th, 2011, Greenwich, CT. It was rather ironic that it was around Independence Day when I, very willingly and quite happily, gave up mine.
