Oh my, the auntie has really done a number on Carter, she harped that Carter disrespected her brother and broke his heart, yet it was she that kept her brother from seeing his (adopted) son while on his death bed. It was she that kept a secret that she knew that her brother had intended to disclose, and it was she that delayed handing over the box that was known to be a last wish from her brother to his son. So it seems to me she is the one to have disrespected her brother and kept him from reconciling from his death bed; it was her judgmental vengeance that overrode her brother’s real wishes to see his son, even after the events that had separated them. Now, Carter finds himself confused by a father that withheld the truth, a mother that chose to split him from his twin and to withhold that truth of twin and mother…implying that the kids should never know. While the confusion still fails to answer whether the mother truly knew who the real father of the twins was/is. It seems the flame she held for her first love overshadowed the true love Simon gave her…As well as possibly having given her the twins, to only have Grace threaten to take them both away forever. This seems to hint that indeed Grace knew the twins were Simon’s but refused to suffering losing them in an abandonment case; the secrecy begs that heritage and fatherhood were a matter Grace wanted unquestioned. Jeremy, Ethan, and Carter may have many things in common than natural causes, as the deaths surrounding them are uncharacteristically coincidental. Grace/Elena has too many secrets, be it nefarious or regrets, it has come to haunt her. Dexter is the Devil incarnate, his psychopathically behave begs for explanations much like the chicken or the egg, did he cause the event chains or did the event chains drive him insane? The odds favor Dexter being the psychopath at the wheel of this murder, suspense, mystery, but he has had help as others have made his twisted logic so easy to pursue.

I’m so glad to hear yet one more character will be introduced; who is this Epee Logue? Hopefully they narrate some of the storylines of Jake and Dee, Nate’s family and friends, and especially the caring and understanding mom that helped Dee to embrace himself as a young adult fighting to live independently. Indeed this story captures the friendship that only exist in our youth, and the internal and external struggles of becoming a young adult; a young gay teen turning young partnered gay man. Very nicely done…but so incomplete, as these characters deserve more! Hahaha 😝

Wow, I actually thought Abel wasn’t completely tainted yet when saying he could help, but then the hints of payment after the original don’t worry about it…argh. WHAT A DOUCHE! Even if Rich is right that Abel got trapped, he deserved her just the same. Good on Rich, not only helping out of sympathy, but truly having love and compassion for his brother; plus promising Brendan will get his share of inheritance…if the snake doesn’t swallow it before either of the boys get their share. -
Let’s not forget the silver eyes from his changeling son and their twin mind talk throughout the change and later;…Cliff Hanger was busy and still hasn’t cleaned his messy room up yet. Much suspense behind the Coat of Arms and the ancient prophecy…will Greg be seeing an ascension or protecting one? Silver 🤔, a (royal) guard and protector?? That falls in line with his human death incident and his insistence on being there to protect Greg putting him there.

So, their playing in capes? Perhaps socks and capes as the colors need balance. 😛

Remodeling starts early, perhaps 🤔 Andrew has already considered which pieces of furniture to sacrifice in the Baron’s bedchamber? Then again, educating the kids may dampen their sexual forays…they’re growing up so quickly. 🤣 ..

Hmmm, me hopes these bowl is not anything of interest to Ralph. Does Ralph know more of DNA research because he and/or the Norwegians are products of that secreted away program? If secreted away, why does Ralph risk the revealing and all the scrutiny 🧐 of the claims? It’s just a bowl and not the holy grail, (would that be literal or figuratively speaking?)…these are not the droids you’re looking for 👀. It seems like the bowl has greater significance than being a mere aged relic. Now for the more important business…just what does Oscar want to ask…that he doesn’t already know? Unless…playtime is universal language of love.

Abel and Kathy's Beginnings

Hmmm 🤔, better they coagulate, Than let their evil permeate. Lest they turn innocents to evil, But evil amplified, bad deal. Their hanky panky makes one puke, Evil gauntlet, one in the chute. -
Chapter 7: Revelations leave Carter broken
Philippe commented on vanalas's story chapter in Chapter 7: Revelations leave Carter broken
Ethan was the twin Nathan, Carter is the twin Jason, Elena is Richard’s wife and Dexter’s stepmother, but she is former known as Grace, birth mother to the twins (AKA Ethan and Carter) and the life long love interest of Simon; Carter’s adoptive Dad. Also, with the near simultaneous relationship to marriage timing that Grace had with both Simon and Richard, is Richard truly the father of the twins? So is Dexter a half-brother to the twins or is he a step-brother. Just exactly why did Richard suddenly become free of Dexter’s mother? Was she an arranged marriage, and just how freely was that family agreement placed upon Richard? 🤔 I can see many possibilities for more sinister plots affecting the lives we’re learning about in this suspenseful murder mystery? Now, who the hell is Dexter’s birth mom, and what happened to her? How did Dexter come to know and be so close to Jeremy’s mom Laura, as neighbors? So was Richard that close to the family his son Ethan was to fall in love with? Is Dexter’s dad, Richard, dead? Did Elena inherit a share of the family estate? Therefore, Carter is maybe an heir too? Why the name changes from Grace, Nathan, and then Carter, yet Simon retained his name. Was indeed the the fake husband, and crazy brother, that plotted against Carter, but really targeting Simon, as coincidental as it appeared or was it more prompted by other objectives of a yet to be discovered party? How, what, and why, does Elena believe Ethan was killed and that now Carter is going to be discovered by Dexter; making him a target too. Is this all inheritance and greediness, of a multiple murder psychopath at work? -
The sad reality of generational life styles is a very real and tough thing to overcome. Uncle Brendan/Newdad was a facilitator and mentor that probably made all the difference, making the new life possible while breaking that generational lifestyle and making it a thing of the past. Kudos to all the Brendans in the world, willing to take on kids in need of care, kids needing special care and healing, kids that need a strong life coach, and an good example of how normal should look. These things can take years, even decades to overcome the brainwashing, and abuse suffered in the hands of someone that should have been much better.

Wow, Jacob doesn’t get boot camp, he get the boots camp; both the left and right are intense, and set on training Jacob to be his best. Conversely, it’s a God that seems to be playing God with Jacob as the cheese in the trap for Q to desire…at the price set by daddy dearest, the God. No doubt, Q doesn’t trust the Godly intentions, nor does he speak of the Gods ever having best intentions for other than themselves or their amusement. The end of the chapter highlights just how torn Jacob is living in the middle. The gods made each side want to kill the other even when they can hold respect for the other and call them honorable. It’s a god mandated battle for the sake of battle and for a god’s pride…even at the costs of total destruction. 🤦♂️ Another great chapter.

Oh that wonderful age where your best friend was truly a partner, as the bond was usually reciprocated by spending all free/social time together; compromising on what each other wanted to do or more than likely stepping up to try what the other wanted. Mates growing together and bonding so closely…until the age comes that slowly interests, jobs, vehicular freedoms, romantic interests, etc, starts to pull that friendship in ways that you can’t always be there, can’t always share; losing the way it used to be. 😢 Sad, yet life continues to pull… Nate will forever be a trusted friend. I may only call or talk to my trusted, best friends in youth, occasionally, but we are always picking up where we left off and sharing plans, dreams, and schemes; friendships from afar, but yet timeless. Love that Nate is what many of us cherish and lone for life to bless us with eternally. Great Job, MPP

Chapter 6: More revelations from the past
Philippe commented on vanalas's story chapter in Chapter 6: More revelations from the past
It was implied in an earlier chapter than Elena was involved with his dad and that Ethan was his brother, so I’m assuming he is an actual step son to Elena. But the same reference conversation expresses disdain that she spread her legs for his father…so he is not a fan of his step mom. I believe Eric is the name belonging to the voice where Carter instructed him to keep looking. Was it for the aunt or does that just get them closer to the person for which he is searching? I’m thinking this is possibly mom’s sister and not the vengeful evil sister of his departed dad. Yes, Laura has big time issues and unfortunately she’s embraced Dexter, which is the most unstable of the two! -
Unfortunately not every abused child has an Uncle Brendan and Uncle Rich, yes let’s not forget that Uncle Rich enabled Brendan to help the children live in a normal loving home with normal extended family, nor does every child get a good psychiatrist. I’ve seen the results of good and bad psychiatrist; nothing malicious of the bad ones, just more interested in patient/money count than helping or being what they should have been. It’s great to have this prequel/epilogue series for the kids. I’m hopeful, @Lee Wilson, that we may get a chapter on Brendan and extended family, for some since that normal extends beyond the kids and their personal battles/victories. Grandpa Brendan and Great Uncle Rich deserve the rewards of not only rescuing the kids, but that of the family they worked hard to make possible.

Not only does she realize he’s growing up, but she has suspicions about who or what will shape his life. She said a lot with her statement to Danny; especially considering this is the same very morning that she’s expected to explode on Danny. Instead, she restrains her own feelings enough to listen to Danny. Though he didn’t say much verbally, he did say he was ok and safe physically, he also showed that he is realizing he has life decisions ahead of him as it’s taking serious thought when boys to men are thought to be too immature or incapable. So they had some major breakthroughs in communication and, dare I say, trust building from a new level of respect; yes he’s not a kid, but this will still always be your home. Many self imposed pressures at the age you so appropriately acknowledged as impossible to define; I think because it happens at differing ages and in different ways as different maturities can be manifested in knowledge areas or experience. Youthful intellect can be like looking through a soda straw; perhaps clear, but narrow in scope. So even a smart young man needs coaching to broaden his intelligence with more worldly experience, so like mom, Danny also needs to refrain enough to listen to others before making his decisions. Indeed, It’s a very tough period for youth.

Understand that, I wasn’t implying anyone could/would say “he’s my boyfriend” as a defense. I was saying if two gay guys went on a date across state lines, they would not be automatically arrested for statutory rape, as would happen for having a young lady out of state without an adult present. Keep in mind statutory rape doesn’t require sex, but opportunity with a minor across state lines. Growing up in south alabama, where another state border is only 45 miles east or west; where a concert in Pensacola, Biloxi, New Orleans, etc. could and did get young male friends in trouble, often because the girls lied about having permission to go. Then when caught, the girl’s parents would press charges against the unknowing young man (minor boy) for statutory rape; instead of punishing their daughter that lied 🤥. Where as, two young men wouldn’t likely face that same mentality, and if parents of either boy pressed charges it would likely backfire and be applied to both “deviants,” for all kinds of sodomy and other sexual deviant laws still on the books. However, unlike the automated statutory rape where no sexual activity is required or attempted, for gay males the sexual activity must have occurred or been in progress, attempted, or physically happening; and no parent can say that it happened without physical evidence or given testimony by a victim. It requires a higher standard. So yes, gay guys couldn’t be openly dating due to many laws, but just two discret or non-openly dating kids couldn’t be charged for statutory rape while crossing state lines on a date.
-
Oh those pesky age of consent laws. What many don’t understand is the youngsters can enjoy the age of consent without youthful rape charges, however in many states in US you’re still a minor. You can’t marry or leave home without parental consent. Sex with a boyfriend over 18 in many states still means rape regardless of the age of consent, While some other states have implemented laws with stipulations of age differences of 2 years, possibly more for a few; so a 16/18 hookup is ok, as is 17/19, but not 16/19. I believe in most states the relationship that Jake and Danny have would still be subject to rape charges…irrespective genders. Likewise, the age of consent doesn’t apply to many states having statutory rape for taking a minor across the (state) borders. So watch out for taking the girlfriend to a concert; this is where being gay takes that charge away from the zealots of youthful prosecution, often at the parents of the girl’s request, …even if the boy was fulfilling the dates request to go and she said she had parental permission…argh.

Well perhaps, when the Amixorpians take the Governor General’s earth words literally; after his first ever teleport, he is heard saying…fuck me! Is that so gay? 😛
-
It was said to be two earth years. My question would be, what is the time passage to be for Brett…as he should return at only slight older than his present age; making him even more young relative to his peers and family.

As the old saying goes…be careful what you wish for! Haha poof

I think it was Dexter that made those claims of seduction, while Jeremy remained frozen in his own mental guilt trip of having “cheated” on Ethan during Carter’s demanding challenge. Jeremy definitely has his own issues but I think it is also exposing deep seeded issues from Carter also… 🤦♂️ maybe they are two peas in a pod. 🤷♂️ The ironic part is that they both have feelings for each other but they can’t see it. Yet the malicious and selfish people around them feed the flames of distrust in effort to pull sway their way. The most honest on the surface seems to be Jeff and perhaps Elena. All others are manipulative and spiteful; Carter’s aunt, Jeremy’s mother, Dexter, Lopez, etc. Whom is Carter hunting? His father raised him with the vindictive Aunt Shelia, but where is his mother and why were they parted in anonymity? Meanwhile Ethan’s mom married Dexter’s dad, but is Dexter a step-brother, half-brother, or the seemingly less likely full brother from separated family/siblings? More importantly, could Ethan and Carter be family; brothers, cousins from these secreted away memories that Carter has of closeted claustrophobia? Many mysteries and many possibilities…oh, what a wicked web we weave, when we practice to deceive; ourselves or others in my mind. Haha
