Nicely said that it’s a story of love…but on a backdrop of the evils of humanity. This historical fiction could very well claim based of a true story. Much like “The Imitation Game,” discrimination would have people undermining their own country’s war efforts in the name of correctness, and/or to then lay claim to the successes of their target freshly removed. So sad. I remember being outed in college; the harassment now known as hate crimes was almost immediate. The car was sloganed with Die Fag, Go Away Fag, and then the door handles were found to all be greased with Vaseline the very next morning. These were my neighbors and fellow college students with which we had many friendly interactions until that moment in time. The hate switch can be thrown and their actions of hate will explode before a plan is even executed. Every plan involving social unrest needs to assume escape, evasion, rendezvous, and perhaps a “go bag” in a safe but disassociated location, as the home is no long a safe place to rally. I very much look forward to seeing an epilogue, or two, for this wonder story @Connectwriter

Accepting an apology is one thing, but acting as if it didn’t happen at all is another. The underlying verbal assault was focused on Lanny being around Brendan and kids (family), I would have insisted on having Lanny stay with them as long as Jill was ok with it. Likewise, having been burned with hollow apologies before, my doubts were howling that this could have been a kidnapping setup to put Steve in a good reconditioning school and home; radicals often feel others will see and join their way of thinking when their version of truth is told. Um, um um 😕, I’m less trusting when personalities and beliefs swing from one extreme to another, even one trigger could cause them to revert to the old way of their thinking.

War is a nasty beast no doubt, but to ignore the monsters and let them feed unchecked just mutates another even nastier beast. The evils that corrupt mankind (yes, it’s not just men) grows in small increments but continues to grow until it envelopes all but the ones that used those very increments to corrupt and divide any resistance. The emotions captured within this story, both the first generation and the second generation, is told with realism; that of compassion, of survival, that of love, and that of sacrifice. Wow, such sadness, yet always a seed of hope. 🙏

Falling in love is full of questions, challenges, and doubts; not of the love for another, but of the questions of how your lives will merge. Marriages to partners from across the globe, each, with their own family ties and their own since of obligations. You question your own willingness to compromise family, career, and goals thought to be already charted; then you question whether you have a right to ask your partner to do the same. Sometimes life makes the decision more logical and straight forward, then again…transcontinental and multinational decisions move into your life before you even realize what is happening. Confessions have been made, now comes the compromising with the weights and balances of real lives; yours, your partner’s, and all your love ones… hmmm 🤔, the meaning of life?? 😝

Hahaha 🤣, my iPhone 6 “smartphone” has dementia, but it’s actually kinda nice. The locked up marketing piracy and location services are helping protect my privacy and sanity. As the industry tries to tie the current marketing buzz words of “artificial intelligence” anything and everything electronic, I can’t help but wonder the idiocy of it all. My refrigerator, my vacuum, my toaster, etc., are all smart or artificial intelligence; Are they all having a party while I’m out of the house? One o’clock today guys, we’re going to induce a power spike and enjoy some juiced up electrons! AI is more likely to prove “automated idiot” than that of any sentience akin to artificial intelligence! Seriously, has anyone not experienced the outright frustration of a “discussion” with SIRI? It’s the non comical version of Abbott and Costello’s “who’s on first” routine. Imagine having an AI guided surgery, you’re likely to lose a whole lot more than spleen. Then there’s the joys of a web research with Google; it’s like a used car salesman version of the HSN home shopping network, you’re more likely to give up or forget your original research 👀topic, but you’ll know all the best prices and delivery dates possible for all the garbage that you don’t really need from China. Hmmm 🧐, even at its best, isn’t artificial intelligence sort of like virtual sex; nothing but a fantasy that leaves you wanting? Should I post this twice? Idk 🤷‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️ hahaha 🤣. Ahhh the giddy butterflies of love, and attraction, and the insecurity…of not knowing, if you’re alone or feeling the same as the other. Will telling them to early result in skid marks of departure or will it possibly put up the friend zone signage, that all to often is really a dead end. As an independent observer it does seems obvious, but like a budding seed, care must be taken to promote strong root foundations and gain strength to reach for the skies, growing sprouts and glowing all about. Was that a breeze rustling my leaves…nope just some giddy shivers. 🤪

Yup, seventh grade in public school and kid in front of me turned around to ask for a pencil. I didn’t even get a response out before we both had to go to the teacher’s desk bend over grab hold to receive a rather aggressive smack from a paddle with drilled holes patterns; talking in class he said. It was hard enough to make you feel you came off the ground and definitely watered your eyes if not more. Though not used so much these days it’s still legal in 17 states with 12 still using it in current discipline rules. I felt I should have refused and gone to the principals office and demanded parents, but parents back then often punished all kids when any dispute, disagreement, or argument required discipline too; yup, all were guilty, therefore, siblings would keep each other from being stupid if at all possible. Hahaha, maybe it did work to some degree. 😊

Breaking News: Investigative reporting has uncovered ties between Mr. Abel Taft, accused with multiple counts of child sex abuse, and a mother of a classmate known to associate with the abused kids from the Abel Taft household. A Mrs EVILyn Taft Harper had to be escorted from the premises of the guardian of Taft kids. Police now confirm Mrs Harper is indeed the sister of the accused Child Sex Offender, Abel Taft. Following Defamation against the guardian, Mrs Harper now finds herself under CPS investigation to ensure the safety of a male teen child in her care. When questioned as to why Mrs Harper was at the residence of the abused children, and what lead to the police being called to that address, neither the police nor CPS would comment with the ongoing investigation.

While I understand emotions run high on the discipline of kids, in the USA, all 50 states allow corporal punishment by parents. The notion that belts, paddles, switches or even a open hand, are illegal is not true in and of itself; it still boils down to intent and whether harm was done. In many cases bruises, broken skins or bones constitute such harm, while merely witnessing a parent spanking a kid or a rosy cheek (face or bum) doesn’t rise to the level to be abuse unless such previously mentioned harm is present. If there is physical rage and words by the parents to make such harm the expected outcome then attempted abuse may be a player but that too would normally require some prior history to show intent and likelihood vs putting fear into a child needing boundaries. My point is the laws are much more diverse than a board statement that any physical discipline is abuse, conversely, some evidence shows emotional discipline can have more lasting and detrimental affects to children’s mental health and development. It’s not in vogue to say so presently but there is lots of conflicting evidence supporting scientific studies.

They mention it was the last song of the movie they attended, but from that movie date everyone was in tears, including Ben. So this song has already been proven as powerful and heartfelt in that movie storyline. As @Cane23says it well,“teen drama!” It’s a world without baseline references as experience hadn’t been gained at the same rates or at all; Tim has never been there, perhaps “I love you” implies as much as the promise rings or maybe engagement; that adult couple’s language. Meanwhile, Tim has his own experience, but perhaps that is the problem, as maybe he hasn’t ever had the “I love you” returned or the non-returned expression linked with the [slow down there Guy] makes a compounding insecurity for Guy; so while maybe more experienced, maybe not so pleasant experience.

@John Henry, congratulations on bringing this wonder tail of biologically abandoned children, finding a dad (even before he knew) who loves them and protects them, then to find his own love, but as a partner equally awarded love and blessings by all to be family; a family of love and choice. The story is much too relatable and well written than to rely on political jabs not directly a part of the tale. The current political climate drags us all into a frenzy that divides us with prejudice; I’d refrain from nonfiction political jabs, especial wishing casualties upon any candidate of any party. Likewise, much like newton’s laws, any force has an equal an opposing force; ratcheting up just brings an equally opposing force right back upon us. Thanks for sharing your work and this tale. I look forward to a series continuing this storyline that’s hard not to like. ❤️

Ahhh, but such a well buried piece of information; Sol or Juyx, Nave or Skai, is it the hue of his green human eyes or can the prince view deep within to see Jacob’s Skai form? The reference is singular, and Jacob is in human skin, so to whom In his lineage is he referring? What is the relationship of this prince if indeed he is linked to Akuzio’s past? Left open or unanswered (deflected) as the White Lady/Great Mother referred to seeing much of Sol and Juyx in both Q and Akuzio; but that context insinuated that to be their love beyond boundaries, the same as Sol and Juyx HAVE…is there more? A resounding yes, the Lady of Mystery, Secrets, and Riddles, can’t help but be so. Then again, could it be a total coincidence of another acquaintance in the prince’s past? Even within family of Skai, the Council of Nine each seem to have tolerated secrets and plays at power or will. So will the prince even disclose his thoughts or make an alternative power play to mentor Jacob until he tests Jacob and his own theories? Meaning, …is he really friend of foe, for if Jacob is Royalty, both Nave and Skai, that could threaten the power of the council. Being that Jacob is openly thought to be only Skai by everyone else, secret knowledge of his lineage could be his parents’ worst fears coming about; a matter of life and death for Jacob, with enemies probable in both Nave and Skai circles.

What an interesting story, and a terrible time for Mr Cliff Hanger to show up! But many other lingering questions and observations; unexpected portal activation and a compulsion to enter. Soullen enters with all Nave bowing to royalty, while the Skai Jacob remains sitting acting as if his little brother mentee has just crashed the party. While pompously naive, Soullen is an interesting twist, in presence, his naivety, and his apparent respect to Q as his brother and leader among Nave. Now, @The Writer X, please post the next chapter as this is unacceptable. @The Writer X, did you not see my message, please post. Why are you not responding @The Writer X? Ok, couldn’t resist, I gave you the angry 😡 But that is a very good question. The storyline has the young royals teleporting across time and distance so as to have been blind to the gods and spirits; so it’s curious who or what could be at the vault. As @Al Norris pointed out on my ghost comment that reading the Crags may hold some of the secrets. No, Aegir is not Haley Joel Osmet nor is the animated dead Bruce Willis, but likewise, can we say it is dead walkers or might it be more spirts etched in time, or even some ancients not fully materialized from magic spanning the times? We’re seeing these young royals traveling across time but now existing in a plain were from the Crags, spirits (echos etched in time?) are trapped in replay around the old ancients war table. Lucas the Lost is the destination as Lucas has been found though not understanding his part; it seems he may have magic secrets that spans the times?? I’ve not reviewed that Crags for a while as I was waiting for this to catch up more too so forgive the general references of the ancient table and associated spirits.
