As I wipe my tears, you summarized the rollercoaster of emotions I’ve had with this chapter and the story in general; wow, it’s tough at times. As if teen angst is not bad enough, throw in a little depression and Psychosis for increased confusion. Maynor, as the Lord of Subterfuge, continues to impose his will on the minds of others. It would be poetic justice that the mind blocks Kieran is an artist at creating and Maynor desperately wants if Kieran is able to turn the tables on Maynor; to make Maynor believe he is succeeding in stealing the Pearl but instead is giving Kieran the access in to his twisted mind. Perhaps then Kieran can slowly trick Maynor into building blocks so Maynor himself is actually building his own imprisonments within his own twisted, greedy, mind.

I’ve been trying to build my connection to the author’s secret web and perhaps use far sight to see those chapters in edit...but I find my stones hold no special powers and, since I’m fairly sure the author is not blind, my far vision connection is even short of myopic; damn, seven more days!

Off to the races...Meanwhile, the King is desperately racing to secure the nexus, to verify and challenge the remaining High Council, and demand fealty of the...wait... where are the remaining realm lords? Lords, and Panthers, and Dragons, oh my!

I too have been binge reading. This story, these characters, and all the mini stories of life are just simply fantastic! Family Struggles encompasses or reminds me of many great classic themes: the good, the bad, the ugly; the magnificent seven; yours, mine, and ours; cheaper by the dozen. Following college, I was a young USAF Officer and roommate to another of similar origins and means. We often made road trips to my roommate’s high school classmate’s family’s house. Many times it was a camp out in the den for those in excess of the shared bed count when many of us flocked “home” to visit; but no one was ever unwelcome or a burden to that wonderful family. Group projects were spontaneous but so were the subsequent socials; this story brings back to life that family and the bonding spirit that otherwise now is unfortunately just memories of earlier times. I very much hope the story continues and we get to share this extended family experience as it has become a part of us. Thank you for giving us this time together.

This relationship also makes me wonder of the hidden messages of strategic chess moves and emotional musical interludes. Arriba! Arriba! Grab that quill,, wet that ink well, and write, write! Andele! Andale! Wow, what a fantastic and exciting tale. Maynor, in his selfish quest, thinks he has Ranevargar to strip of his Realm but has no idea just exactly what he has taken within his warded fortifications. Ranevarger and Kieran are bonded mentally and spiritually. As they understand the powers of nature and have shared the secret web; the awareness, the vision, the nurturing of protections. Maynor has submitted more than the yield could bring with his limitations. Kieran, hopefully will slow his strategic thinking of realms before releasing the dragon. Likewise, the imbalances are greatest between the realms breached? Would it not be wise for the group to breached Maynor’s realm prior to breaching into the dead realm to release the dragon. The imbalances then bring increase incursions to his realm from the wild dead realm, giving Kieran increased opportunities to reach and bring the beast within his grasp? Maynor is quickly running out of friends and his enemies may find the commonality to unite the realms in ways unseen in the modern elven times; who will be and reign supreme? So a triller, with suspense, drama, action, romance and anything else to make an explosive and emotional ride to enjoy.

Winged Humanoids or Sparkled Ko(mod)hen Dragons? 🤪 All kinds of latitudes and special abilities to work with. This may even bring forth the abilities that Kohen is still unawares. i don’t believe the egg was retrieved but migrated to a place of nesting. The traitor is in the planning that possibly forced Kohen into fertile protective waters to evade the swarm attack; perhaps Kohen wasn’t even intended to survive? 😱 In this age of the 3 seconds attention span, I find the chapters are a little short, but they are so rewarding and provocative that the shortness actually allows more reflection or thought to be given to the information carrying the plot forward. 🥰

My father was an insurance salesman many, many years ago. That one last time WAS a way to go for some. While very serious and emotional at the time, years later my father related a story of then deceased but at the time long time policyholders and friends. This was from the days when the agents collected the premiums in person and reviewed your policies for changes or the major life events in everyday life. He received a very emotional and desperate call from the wife. She was using the bedside phone which some people had as part of their phone service at that time. She explained to dad that her husband had probably had a massive heart attack and died...but she was trapped and wanted to preserve some dignity for her and her husband before called the emergency services, she was begging for his personal assistance in her attempts. Dad of course performed the policy services as she requested by freeing her and helping her get the husbands boxers back on; that’s policy services you don’t see anymore!
