Some make you swallow your pride.

Mine was the large head 454 Chevy…a beast. My dog was a mutt that was never leashed but always under voice control at remain at my side when off property. But as for football…I played saxophone then Drum Major my senior year. This one time at band camp…hahaha

Many marching bands actually play tubas in the US too, even high schools where some freshmen can make the tuba appear to have legs. 😆 The Sousaphone was/is satisfactory for the simple marches, but in the very wide range of music often played on fields today, rock and blues, jazz and symphony excerpts, there is no substitute for the full throat and octave range of the 4 key B-flat Tubas. Then again, I’m speaking of areas that are capable of fielding a large band, often with the complimentary orchestra percussion section remaining on the home team sidelines, while marching drums remain embedded within the complex field formations.

Auditions held out Kyle’s…the parents are modern.

You mean this course has objectives that disqualify him after being met? 🤣

I gave the chapter a ❤️ for Joel’s growth, love, and winning his relationship with Cody and their dad. I so wanted to gift it the anger 😡 face for Westley and mom’s destruction of their family; Westley’s selfish exposure of Joel’s private affairs to begin with, then mom’s anger and actions since that time, as pointed out, taking it out on anyone and everyone that opposed her. It almost felt as if Joel could have semi-shouted just once from the porch that “I’ve been thrown out of my own house for being gay” and mom would have lost all her bravado in this discussion… but that risks all kinds of consequences if mom went ballistic. Then again, if she and Weasel had left, that could have improved things for all of Tempton; but also changed the whole story dynamic. 😆 Of course, cooler heads prevailed and dad had to sympathetically apologize for his wife and mother of his children tearing the family apart, inviting the children to hate them as parents; probably losing Cody and Joel forever when Cody turned 18. What a disgraceful thing for mom to continue to do while acting as Joel is the bad influence on the family. Another wonderful chapter and a great interlude for possibly revisiting this tale @Krista.Thank you again for sharing your efforts, your story, your comments, and your heart, with us all.

Maybe…given the old Volvo holds some value, but in some jurisdictions maybe that value is shy of grand and it’s petty. Nut the biggest kicker is that it’s not stolen, it was borrowed by the grandkids…missing their dad. 🤦♂️ Unfortunately, now putting the spotlight back on the sleepy, appearing, hometown. Side note: I wonder how Steve has managed to profit and how many more properties they now control? 😂 Steve’s Buffalo Wild Wings.

Indeed, not safe to pass, yet people will continue…much like the flood water markers and alerts ignored. 🤦♂️

And too many haywagoneers unwilling to face the truth of their own foolishness in merrily piling on, letting it all happen without proper challenge.

We can only hope, these days some would kill their dads just to win video games. So these two are conservative by modern generational standards. 🤦♂️

On so true. Concrete and iron beams just don’t like high temps. No engineering degree needed, just remember the toppling twin towers that withstood the jet airliner’s impact but couldn’t withstand the temperatures from the ensuing flames that followed. Yes, the young lads are following their hearts, unfortunately, the political climate is not for the heart nor young foolish escapades; but, neither is dumb, so perhaps they may surprise us.

Two young boys, bonded by love, family, and the resistance. May the Volvo protect them…but in colors of yellow I doubt they go unnoticed by friends…nor enemies.

Coop needs a plan, a ruse that won’t get more killed but that will bait Corcoran into confused tunnel vision while their cordon encompasses his sorry ass; while Coop needs full body armor…nothing much, just a flexible bodysuit of composite materials that will resist low velocity arms such as knives and arrows.

Corcoran flaunts his prowess in stalking and possibly murder yet again.. The hearsay of the murder last night being an argument or disagreement sounds just about what I would expect from Corcoran being spotted in process of his quick exit. Ironically, Coop may have hit the nail on the head when thinking Corcoran could be hiding in any of those many spots…then subsequently even reporting the incident himself to obfuscate his own presence. I’m not sure I would have been reporting to the inspector that the murderer was not one committed by Corcoran; at least not until reviewing those tapes or disc themselves.

Ironically, I think this little venture alway from the garage floor grimy flings, was a bit of a reality check…a bit of self reflection brought on by a kick start catalyst from their nemesis lover. I actually believe this to be a healthy step forward for both of them. Garrett found natural compassion without his self loathing pity, Finn found himself challenged to get past his portrait and self imposed life as a street rat. They’re ready to start looking at where they are vs where they were, …so here we are, now where do we go, or want to go.

No, no, no…that would risk it all in my opinion. I can understand that desire to connect but I have to believe Will is still being watched like a hawk. The opportunity to assassinate Andrew and then remove the Governor as enemies of the state would be catastrophic for their movement. I’m thinking a more subtle Uk visit where accompanying a delegation seeking improved relations in the aftermath; so something right under their noses but wrapped securely within a larger ruse. But then again, I would probably suck at trying to create such a ruse setup. 🤷♂️

Nothing wrong with that as an Andrew tag…just not on a Mustang.

FT Chapter - Lonely Christmas
Philippe commented on quokka's story chapter in FT Chapter - Lonely Christmas
That’s like us in Florida, alligators protected. That easy to say unless you’re the one living in the concentrated areas where you’re up to your ass in alligators. The good news down there…over a million acres to dispose of a few pesky frogs. Hmmm 🤔, what would make their food source toxic? The invasive tree frogs in Florida shorted out my electrical panel as they got in it when small and ate until they out grew the space and….kinda exploded when they grounded out. What a mess to get my power back on; can’t wash it and wow, the smell. -

Kinda reminds me of the deserts off Saudi Arabia.
