The icing on the cake, real Charlie took the ID and cards he’ll need to survive in his knew body/environment. Will he remember the professor’s name…his name? Address? Access to money? He know has to call on friends, but the prof said he has none. His young friends are shallow and won’t think anything of distancing him as the old guy from the train. Yes, we all grieve differently but we also have different sensitivities…and all that on our own schedule of what is right and when we’re ready. The sad part is too often we think we have to totally let go, it’s farewell forever. Even our new interest should be concerned with that expectation, as to what does that say about any future relationships when you’ve been one so disconnected that it’s so easy to say farewell…forever. On a side note; severe old studies found that divorced people were much more likely to divorce, again, than others for the first time; in fact, many had a least two divorces or more. Human nature is often habitual. So a widower is hopefully more likely to love…until death do thee part. 🙃 So back to Lonnie, seeing someone else may be a slow, healing, and forgiving process for Lonnie, but also allowing Keve know it’s ok to speak of the departed partner, and that Lonnie needs to be able to speak of his departed partner. Finding a balance of understanding, balancing the past and present, is bound to be a work in progress. if ever lonely, I can’t think of a better person to help…fill that void, than a hunky plumber; he should be very good at snaking your lines and Che king line pressures.

It’s very disturbing that Miss Vessey is chatting so freely about tribal business with her daughter. If the mom knows her daughter enough to share, then the implications are that she doesn’t care herself. If sharing without knowing the habit of gab, then she is using tribal business and authority to connect with her daughter; either way, as a council member she is betraying the tribe in discussing the council busy in larger circles…unless cleared by tribe, yet, we know the intent was strict discretion and that the looting is a security concern. So did Pam really get the info from mom, or is mom good with notes but poor on securing them?

Yup, Gordon and Daisy would probably give us a glimpse into hell on earth; then bring that into the family and it’s…torture from satin incarnate. As to Micah and Asher, I personally can’t see Asher as a trusted lover anymore, and I’m not sure that Micah isn’t dancing closer to that same very dance floor of becoming more controlling, and less secure when it doesn’t go as he expects.

I think they’re already toast, but not for failing to pull off the fake relationship, but that their dislike of each other is being rapidly replaced by new perspectives and…respect; with Justin becoming protective of Tim, after coming to his defense on early occasions. So indeed fake is failing, but it’s stumbling upon the uncomfortable and awkward reality of real feelings….but without the alcohol.

Whether trying to force two closeted friends to be out, or be it pure bullying blackmail, this is a cruel and dangerous thing to do. One can never know the emotional state or how that person will react. That pressure could be enough to push the individual to tragedy. Such private moments captured when there was an expectation of privacy is just plain rude. At best you can share it with them person to person, while letting them know they can count on you, or that they should be careful as you and/or others don’t want to see such affections…but be polite and no manipulation. The story is looking to be either disturbing or hopefully marching down a path where discovery and acceptance is an ironic side benefit of the misguided conduct of what is likely a peer. This has an intriguing mix of mystery, drama, and possible a coming out or accepting one’s self journey. I’m probably already hooked…as I now clicking Chapter 1. 😊
