OMFG, I hope they truly do know all the camera locations. A Kodak moment with yours or your boyfriends…precious… snugly stowed away in a human sheath while the other’s precious is bouncing and leaking/spurting is not the way to announce your sexuality and that you’ll be leaving home; at their request, probably more for violating their sterile house rules than for having a gay relationship. 🤦♂️ By the way, mom, dad, this is Joel.

Yeah, it’s a well documented tribe, originally the Nansemond tribe who are indigenous to the Nansemond River area of lower tidewater Virginia. Now known as the Nansemond Indian Nation, the tribe received federal acknowledgement in 2018. Back then, due to the rapid and increased colonization of the Nansemond homelands, many settled in the “frontier” of North Carolina. The other side of my family has more lineage to the Creek Nation, hence comments I made on Never Alone thread. How ironic that many of the loosely connected tribes of the northwest gave us the push outward; south towards the later known Virginia area and the others pushing west across to the Lakota region that gave us the resistance of the Apache and Geronimo.

Mine’s a little more removed, then from England, to France, to Italy, then to the Netherlands. So I’m probably closer related to Geronimo than to many of our British friends, though it was that hop-scotching 2 generation Englishman guy that married the Princess of the tribe; they migrated out of the first colonies in what became later became the Virginia colony.

Chapter 18 - Time Flies
Philippe commented on ChromedOutCortex's story chapter in Chapter 18 - Time Flies
Wow, wow, wow! All afternoon and all evening and yet Dean still doesn’t know a thing about Kris’ job offer/commitment. Too bad these boys seem to be dragging their feet at lives together. So will it sabotage their relationship, Kris’ job, or will they be spontaneous and start anew in Toronto? -
Geez, what is it about these people. Jacy is looking for answers about himself and about his heritage, yet everyone either avoids the topic or puts it off to the next person. His Aunt Faithsy has no intent to help Jacy be anything other than her own marine of righteousness. Lily knows more about his personal talents, inclinations, confusion, and most importantly his heritage. Yet, instead of sharing what she knows it’s off to see yet another people while Jacy wonders aimlessly. It’s the reason he can to the pow wow yet Lily diverts yet again. Skye was able to make Jacy comfortable enough to share, leaving Skye in awe. Yet again, we don’t have any sharing other than the cryptic statement of you don’t even know do you? Well…help the boy out, start to enlighten him even if it requires more than you understand you can say …I think you may be/have blah, blah, but let’s go talk to… Argh 😣 at this rate, Jacy needs a few months to get his family tree and his personal talents even identified, much less understanding it all.

After all he did say fuck me, though we have yet to see the after effects of Joel mounting Jaxton at the camp out, the video, the baseball team, the football team, the school, Trace and Celia? Though with Trace, I’m not sure if the smirking isn’t because the know and he’s somewhat happy the prick was trained while Celia is more worried about how Joel is going to fit in. Between mounting Jaxton, sleeping with Davin, and riding Ravin, Joel is learning to loosen his hips, so maybe things are going to get more fluid.

As many a young person has said…that’s the last time I do that…until the next time. However, I do feel Joel will be much more reserved in the number tops he pops. The drive home, the interaction before the bath, and then again after waking all puts a much more friendly tone to the relationship between Colt and Joel. Likewise, Joel fought his own reservations and horse fright demons to fulfill his promise to Lacey; even letting Colt know he is missed by little sis, therefore, Lacey got a two for one evening horse riding adventure with the boys. She must be feeling like things are better again too. Now Joel needs his visit with Cody to regain a little of what has been to traumatically stolen. I get the impression that Joel I’d more comfortable with himself than Davin is at this point. Interesting that Colt made the comment about Joel being more obvious than he thinks… hmmm 🤔 The question is, whether Colt was referring to the hangover or…the steaming naked tent sleep-in??

Wow, you’re really hitting on a subject dear to me too. The fact that the family doesn’t want to talk about the history here is with a supernatural or perhaps spiritual twist is a better way to put it. My grandfather was a medicine man with family recognized abilities or skills. As a kid I tried stayed up many a night to watch a wart disappear, but at no time did I succeed. Yet, the next morning the wart(s) would be gone forever. That was the easiest skill I remember as a young kid but he had others. I remember crying over a very sick stray puppy. Everyone said it had distemper. Granddad says come with him. We walked about the pastures looking for plants and more importantly their roots. Granddad had me pull the plants up in a way that brought the roots up; many times with him wiping and biting into the root, and then tell me to get more or looking for yet another. He saved that little stray dog for me. We left him with some custodians of the old farmhouse and the cows. A few years later but still young for me I asked if it were true that we were part Cherokee. He looked at me and said “you don’t worry about that, if you don’t tell anyone they’ll never really know.” I never did get to talk of our heritage from his side of the family. Even worst was that he didn’t read or write. He felt those were private family matters and never asked anyone to write us kids about our heritage for when we were a little older. He knew his sun was setting and the trades had to be passed to the oldest male child. We were still too young so the medicine man secret skills were passed to cousins from his brothers family line. His father was born of the Creek War of Alabama during the trail of tears roundups; and then the civil war years . The family avoided the roundups, Then in the following years Geronimo was imprisoned just 100 miles south of the farm. There are plenty of arguments of why such declarations were not made in my grandfathers lifetimes. Yet my grandfather was still tight lipped in the sixties. So I can relate to the frustrations as our young JC deals with secrets is has yet to uncover.

Tramutized into living two lives; one stuck being 13, the other throw into the rough life of a professional hooker of 23. So my guess is is he’s not sure he’s 16 either.

As the ex used to say I no longer showed affection to her; my response was it’s hard to hug a porcupine. Her continued chill and distancing was the light at the end of the marriage tunnel.

That’s a very tough departure for Will and the kids; at that point in family life it’s a high rate of termination; divorce and very limited visitations. A major change to the theme and attachment to the sprigs.

And a torpedo tube may have just fired one, two, … If so the screws are screwed on that asset and the warning vs war is a very fragile thing.

Not the Americans, but The Order. Abernathy has his day coming and it’s not of his success. Hale seems to be not greeen but rather yellow. I guess if you can’t scare the piss out of them, you pat them on the back, cut out their kidneys, and re-introduce the seriousness of your concerns. That’s a Hale of a situation he’s made for himself, I hope he likes the New Order of things. Oh goodness, el Coyote doesn’t appreciate the fire bird branding of the Mustang, imagine that. 😂 A great sympathy towards his new partner’s fondness for that wild pony. Well, insincere messaging ticking to Wills watch, dirty bombs ticking the Geiger counter, and Andrew’s brain ticking off memories he holds true. The Royal Navy and the Intelligence Service has been brought to bear. Hopefully a renewed Andrew will make his own television appearance very soon…with most sincere messaging.

Perhaps the cliffhanger is the overarching suspense of knowing this murderer is never far from Rick and the waters were far too calm this chapter. it was nice to fill in more background on Rick’s personal life and emotions. Likewise we see Rick building more of an argument that he has no involvement in the nefarious happenings, yet we still don’t know why and how these cases are connected. It still struck me as a little strange how Rick asked what about Rick’s dad and upon hearing the more bitter reply he didn’t respond at all…just studied Rick’s face. No empathy, sympathy, nothing to indicate how he received Rick’s ongoi anguish and resentment concerning his dad’s failure as a dad.
