    Chapter 13

His life experience is probably the model they used to train for that; perhaps why he excels in his compartmentalization. Ironically, that’s very common for military aviators and somewhat the same in civilian. I did both. Emergency procedures vary in wording: by service, by generations, and system. But it’s somewhat common lingo to say: aviate, navigate, communicate. So continue flying the bird, know where you need to take her, communicate with those that clear the skies, those that help you troubleshoot and/or safety the systems, and relay the type fire/rescue help you know you need vs them doing a standard evaluation to fight the fir and rescue.

Unless you bring it, it’s more likely to be local hooch; not as good as the moonshine I’ve had from Tennessee. Big if your stranded for gas it would probably be high octane ethanol equivalent.

His handling fee can go to that off shore account that CSIS set up for him! 😂 payback’s a bitch. Either announce to the world and still crash markets or just leave my standard fee alone!

    REN! Yes 🙌🏿
  10. Yeah, that’s what I’ve been thinking. The intent may have been that it be a longer, stronger case of committed, but it seemed one of shorter, mutual, comfort , to me.
  11. I thought the same, but then I wondered if Kris hasn’t already decided but he needs to know what Dean can commit to; in other words, don’t be Dean escape, be his reason.
  12. Yet but sometimes a reboot works better than a restart; fresh place, fresh mindset, they work better together…until you visit home. 😆

    Chapter 22

Despite my comment several chapters back, I don’t have a good feeling about Adam also being brought into the safe haven for the boys. There’s just too much unknown about Martin’s murderer and motives. Yes, it like like the art teacher is a sure thing….but is he. Without something stronger to go on or a confession we don’t know if he is possibly a copy-cat or the real thing. Wow, it’s heartbreaking to learn the details of the attack from these forever traumatized young boys, now men. It’s even worse knowing that the headmaster not only covered it up, but his handling a suspected weapon, at the scene of that vicious sexual assault, seems beyond protective of the school…himself, family, other motivations? The expanded search of the teacher’s previous work and life experience will hopefully help narrow the hunt and also allow any previously unlinked murders be brought to light; if dealing with an even longer active serial killer spree. Again we have Cory, whom now looks a lot like Rick…argh, it doesn’t seem pure coincidence either that we now have another interaction that could bring the murderer full circle. By why targeting Rick vs Cory or others? Just like the killings not being known until Rick’s mysterious requested assignment, what and how exactly did Adam come into the picture? His question of “do you really feel this way” somehow strikes my as strange and somewhat testing manipulation. Admittedly it’s pure speculation at this point, but the safe haven is for the primary purpose of their protection, and that outweighs the social benefits at the juncture. There also seems to be some looming suspense surrounding those files that Rick has yet to look at…all as we invite Adam into the haven.

Off to rescue their idiots, requiring them too to be thought idiots, but my bet is… Supernatural things are going to happen as the OCD order melds with their-chaos geniuses.

    Chapter 8

It sucks in the final moments, when you realize after all the team BS that we never leave one of our own behind, that the whole plan never included your survival…but your callous sacrifice. Beyond that though, is how many terrorist buy into being sacrificed when the person selling that great martyrdom philosophy never feels compelled themselves.

    Chapter 4

One neighbor while I was growing up, would ask mom for a batch of biscuits. His wife had bake some and offer him one on the way to work…was a police officer. He try the bite it and immediately threw it out across the street. That biscuit hit the far side bank of the ditch…to then have a section of that bank shear off falling into the ditch. He told my dad, “he’ll I could take those to the firing range for target practice.”

    Chapter 4

It’s just terribly unfortunate that with what we know, the person identified as Andrew Carter began the extortion/blackmail of Brian. It paints a very different character than the one we’ve been rooting for in the Carter Books. Needless to say I expressed that surprise, disappointment, and anger in the final chapter of this previous book. Hard to believe Andrew Carter would handle youth that share ages with his own family, with Alex even living with them while he was missing, visiting Father in LA. You’re playing with perspectives of the character of the characters big time.
