In some parts of the country they go back to school when not planting, so they’re off for harvest and stowing, etc. local calendars are not a new thing.

I’m wondering if Warren is so bold or if Cal is just so expressive that Warren not only can read him, but is afraid he may lose his opportunity if he doesn’t act quick. Either way, Warren liked the impression Cal gave him, so prehaps Warren is a better person and a good judge of character too.

But a chief focus is never the complete focus and the chaos may coalesce into a unexpected or uncontrollable outcome.

Ahhh, but it would become an unruly baby that requires much babysitting; their objective is for quicker and lasting impact.

Yes, ironically they laugh at the divided allies, yet the mirror reflects the same amongst the dark allies too.

The further from current named politicians, current and specific politics, and any political movements is the better. Readers come to enjoy and escape, not to theorize the news or political spinning; besides, what goes on in news is hardly the real or full story, and lacks the motivation for such public pronouncements. Having many years experience in and around military, government, intelligence, and politicians; fundamentals are the foundation, and what prevails in the trade-winds of world politics. Not how much or how hard you whip the heavy cream of propaganda. Perhaps taking Will’s advice, to focus on the common objectives of long and great allies, would be better.

Yes, I was surprised that a “secure” laptop would have open ports, whether USB, floppies, or CD/DVDs, or any auto wake functions, those access ports should have been disabled and/or not even an option on a laptop to be taken outside the secure facility. Furthermore, why was that laptop left sitting out without being in use? Sometimes it seems the higher ups believe their position provides privilege and security by nature of their position, yet the opposite is too often the case; they are a target and their lax handling of information is a bonanza making them an easy target at that. 🤦♂️

Chapter 4: What changes will time bring?
Philippe commented on vanalas's story chapter in Chapter 4: What changes will time bring?
Says the author that just pushed Jace to a cliffhanger…unlikely to fake us into a charming reunion when Jace has already lost his legs and breath, while thinking this one significant person was in the past…that he was over him?? So done nothing? Only because we paused the pen to push this redeeming father to satisfy the evil 😈 fate that Noah’s father wishes for his son’s husband and the man that made his grandson possible… Remember, there is no definitive explanation for Noah getting pregnant; was it Noah’s or Jace’s DNA that mutated into a father’s pregnancy? Over our heads? Yes, arms and hands over our heads…so that we can physically empathize swiping our hands down our faces as we look skyward and ask…WHY? -
Chapter 4: What changes will time bring?

How did you so eloquently dictate my thoughts before I could even write them myself? Well spoken; with so many ways to take this story in a new direction, we were again run off the road with a villain and accomplice most likely at play…coincidences of this kind just don’t seem likely. Really? Many years with no contact and magically poof 💨 this life altering personality just appears in Jace’s path. Nope, not a coincidence, at least not a believable one for me. Perhaps @vanalaswould be better suited for those therapy sessions; it may take a long term commitment to root out his issues though! 😂 -

Nice? I hate cliffhangers…especially when it goes contrary to the persona of Jace’s character of 5 years! Me smells rats, both this mystery guy and probably Noah’s father; which will say he is just showing what was already in the cards. 😠 -
Absolutely, good on Detective Jensen. He is no doubt over worked and then has to dedicate resources to these BS claims only to find himself processing claims against dear ole dad, and then yet again processing arguments against Jamie’s record…hopefully to be expunged, permanently removed vs sealed; that would say they were invalid and his name removed from record. That’s quite a credit to an overworked detective, and he advised Jamie to get a lawyer to make sure he gets this all filed correctly, but… The tidbit of these funds not even originating from his dad’s account makes me think dad has been withholding on a trust fund that actually is or will become Jamie’s funds. I think the detective recommendation is to help Jamie discover that these funds and decisions are not his dad’s to make or control. Jamie may very well have funds and resources…heck, he may own the family house too, it’s all possible since Dad has hidden the truth it seems. Yay, dad is an arrogant idiot. He has lied to Jamie, but now has felony charges likely as well as assault, battery, and possibly even financial crimes involving funds for Jamie that is apparently not from dad. 🤔 So has dad tried to use them also? Is he afraid Jamie may not continue to the 4-year program which gives dad financial access/control for longer? @Jeff Burton, what a great chapter and with such continuity of story and characters that we are immediately back within the setting with our ole favorites of a different storyline; wow, great job and thanks for this wonderful update.

Agreed, just as we leap forward with this latest revelation, we fine ourselves smacking into the side of that cliff where we all get to hang…yup, big a$$ cliffhanger, until the next book finally fills us in on what happened after this wonderful reunion party. @Mark Ponyboy Peters, what a great book; and looking forward to more in the series and in this fictional township of growing kinship, bound by love, fellowship, respect, and even blood on occasions. I hope we do get to see the fruition of the Boys Rescue Home fund drive and outgrowth thereafter. I think a crew effort will come into play, whether encompassing more of just the original household, or with more community engagement as witnessed thus far in the growth of Thompsonville; should a referendum be submitted to rename Thompsonville to Scottsdale? Or to adopt the names from the famous books/movies? Thompsonville AKA… 🤣

Act III - Master Of The House

Greed and deceit; none have anything more than personal glory in their sights. Bestow me power that will ensure me a powerful reign beyond challenge. None of them, speaking of primary players, are worried of cost internal to their own realm or external to any other realm as long as they reign supreme. The young Princess, apparently Gabriel’s sister, seems to have a more balanced personality and outlook of coven existence with respect to other realms too. She sees the greed they all have sown and now suffer. She may indeed hold the future for her kind. -
Noah, I’ve found someone else that understands me.

I think that was Trace’s reaction, after the mom said Joel wouldn’t have killed himself on the bridge; she’s so irrational and disconnected.

Big boys don’t cry. Talking can peel emotions that lead to crying, so don’t talk and be a big boy. And of course there’s the: Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool…than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. So keep your mouth shut, then again, sometimes shut up and listen is a smart move… 🤔.

Not to imply anything as sad as Brokeback Mountain type storylines, but it is ironic that Colt either directly or indirectly will have Joel learning ranch and cowboy life. While Joel will be educating either directly or through the twins, that the possibly gay, booted out, towny can hold his own at this Home On The Range.
-
Whether a Colt or a mule, eventually a mutually beneficial relationship will develop.

Oh I think the distance, space to breathe, and some new friends that already have to know there is a significant reason for Joel showing up, is a life saving Grace for Joel. Yet the parents don’t hide that they think Joel needs to see his parents…but he is welcomed to return before even leaving. That’s a strong parental message to the kids and friends…Joel is not a problem but is to be supported in his moment of need. Staying to play ball in his hometown made would jeopardize Joel’s chances of staying the course to play. He will have time to be accepted, he will have the twins and the Connelly connections for support…and the community will be motivated by a simple competitive chance at claiming that elusive title championship. 🤣 He’s gay, but he can shor’nuff play ball!
