Oh my goodness, well this is a dark and scary start...I'm hanging on to the title of this in hopes for Matt...

A bit of descriptive overkill, not my favorite chapter at all...

I feel the therapist was correct in reporting the molestation, if not for Rocky but for the others and those yet to be molested... "You haven't done anything wrong. And who knows: Maybe, you haven’t been the only one. You would do these other ones a favor and they might come forth. Assuming there are more than just you, Bruce might not even know who reported him. I know, that’s a big if, but if it helps you …" "I guess, that makes sense. So, what should we do?" "Exactly what Manny and Bass said: go to the police. Confronting his parents will not accomplish anything, and telling the school may present other problems. So, it is best for the police to handle it. If they find a reason to, they should inform the school."

Many underttones in this chapter and several revolving around Suki and Francis Heyward, then there was the 'Tax Scandal' revolving around the disposition of paintings...dodgy wealthy folks... Then there is my favorite part.... Dan had looked at me and said that he was in this for the long haul and that he hoped I was too. Embarrassed, I’d made a bit of a joke of it, saying ‘Brave man’, but I’d kissed him and said that I was. Marriage was on the cards, sometime; though I pointed out that we didn’t even live together yet. We planned for Dan to spend more time at my place, but I was horribly aware that I had arranged the house to suit my single existence. If he had his own room (whether separate bedroom or just a study, he’d need something of his own) then our only lounge space could be my study/library.

These interludes are killing me, kill the SOB(s) ASAP!!! Other than that, no strong opinions...

I wish the ugliest death for the arrogant, self-absorbed A-hole....

And now to the aftermath, there is a mess to clean up...am very sad about Harry's fate...

I agree...and the ignominious demise of the bastards who fomented this plot and dispatched Harry...

Is the following suspicious??? “Are you Oscar Q Kingston, of William Street Allendale East?” the officer asked me. “Yes, I am he, how may I assist you?” I replied cautiously. “I am the District Superintendent of the SA Police, I have come to officially apologise to you for the way you were treated that resulted in you being hospitalised. The Senior Constable in the matter has been dismissed from the police service and is facing possible charges of Assault causing bodily harm. The other officer has been transferred back to Adelaide, where he will be required to do additional training, and he will have a note of his employment records about the matter. Insert theme from Jaws here....BTW...anyone see the news this week, an 18 ft crocodile was captured in Australia...YIKES!!!!!

Well one thing we know for certain is that the bully is short on brains, think of it as social evolution and hopefully he expires before being able to add his contribution to the gene pool... This was a nice transition chapter and looking forward to how the rest of the summer goes...

Well...they have kicked the can, in so many stupid ways... Nathan picked up the pen and hesitated a moment. He was exhausted pretending to be someone else. They were so far away from all the trouble of their past. He decided to risk it and sign his true name. He passed the pen to Brohm, who glanced at him wearily upon seeing the signature. Pen to paper, Brohm held still a moment before signing his real name below Nathan’s. Not once but twice...Was it enough to cancel the image spell the witch did for them??? “Miss Charters?” Nathan called out. An aggravated growl replied from the other side, followed by the scrape of wooden legs on stone. “Who is it?” demanded a woman’s voice. “My name is Nathan, along with my partner, Brohm. We’ve travelled from the west in search of your knowledge and help. Could we speak to you?” When they meet the daemon, will it talk of Nathan's bite??? Nathan's wound is fatal or so he was told, might there be a cure Rabiah my know of???

Will she survive the implantation of the device???

Hunter was very smart to video the entire incident, Oscar's legal team is going to have a field day with the two arresting idiots...take them to the cleaners and then the municipality as well!!! Oh my freaking goodness... “Mind your business sonny and leave us be,” the second officer said to Hunter, “Any problems here Mr Kingston?” one of the Campus security officers asked when he appeared, “Yes, these officers have just injured Mr Kingston and they refuse to take him to the hospital. Can you please call for an ambulance right away,” Hunter responded with concern in his voice. “No need, we will take him there ourselves, when we are done with him,” the officer said as he shoved me into the back of the police van and slammed the door shut. Luckily I landed on my uninjured side on the floor of the van, but the jarring effect sent shooting pain up my arm, and I now had tears running down my face. A few minutes later I was escorted into the police station and sat down in an interview room.

Mark's anger towards Chronos stems from something he saw/experienced while fluctuating in the multiple timeframes...

Best comment yet, now if the designers of IKEA furniture a shoe rack to fit the exercise bike/clothes hanging station life would be a dream!! A delightful chapter but I am and remain concerned for Thomas, I believe without actually saying it, Thomas saw more than anyone should see... In some parts of Africa, outreach efforts by several Christian denominations based here in the US of A, have actually had a hand in formulating the laws that persecute gay and lesbian folk, by working with those in power...

While this chapter was, for the most part calm, it was interesting to see that the Puritan ethos in this country can rear its ugly head in nearly any facet of our lives... Sex and sexual attraction are demonized, treated as filthy, and not discussed for the most part, leading to all sorts of issues. Open, honest discussions about our bodies, sex, and intimacy should be nothing to be afraid of. What should be of larger concern will Karen and Ken going to turn out to be healthy, productive, tax paying citizens, contributing to the welfare of the larger world around us... Not that I have any strong opinions or anything...now...where did I leave that danged soapbox????
