    TV Chapter 5

Quokka...one of your best chapters yet...thanks!!! As a Yank, I've fallen in love with the Chester Zoo from the TV series on the Animal Planet channel... Not knowing anything about the March Stones, I had Uncle Wikipedia tell me a bit...very interesting!!! Hopefully the soon to be adopted boys will find comfort with Marcus and Jexon!! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/March_Stones_of_Aberdeen

    Treasure

What an exciting chapter with so much going on...The mother-in-law who won't be named is still worrying me and will do so till she is in Berlin and under 24/7 surveillance... Love the fact they are going to flush out and drive the Consortium into obscurity...time to neuter them and rend them harmless and if possible, incarcerated!!! I live a stone's throw from Downtown Boston, and I want one of those burgers...hell...all of them but not at the same time!!! Bohdan and Ruslan deserve more than a dinner and a mention in the history books, paying for their higher education and possible jobs in the Kingdom's outdoor recreational sector as they both love to be out exploring the countryside!

    Chapter 169

Had to chuckle at the following... “What do you boys want to do today?” “Can we go fishing?” “You remember how sick Uncle Arnaud got in Greece? I think we should wait until he goes home before we go fishing.” They agreed. The next question is, “When is he leaving?” And am saddened with the news of Colin's father...it will not be an easy transition for everyone...
  4. As well conceived and thought out a story to be found anywhere, hitting so many high points, as our protagonists are overcoming setbacks on their voyage of self-discovery and personal relationships. Well written, paced, enthralling, and just a delight to read!

    Chapter 5

Reading this again was wonderful!!! And as noted above, simply perfect!!! I blame the fact that it is spring and the pollen count is rising, for the used tissues!!! Looking forward to seeing more of your stories grace the pages of this story site!!!
  6. Pandora's box has been opened...there will be retribution to be sure, hopefully it will mean that more Messiah's will be drawn out and meet their just rewards in whatever version of hell awaits them... What happens to the Mantas Glands of the dead Messiah's, are they destroyed as well?
  7. Here's hoping the two mutilated Messiah's were Vion's partners and some suspicion falls on Vion, it is a shame however that Vion wasn't there when it all went down...
  8. Looks like a friendship has gotten a bit more involved...

    Chapter 4

I think Dickie suffers from a genetic malformation, where is mouth has an independent brain, and it is intellectually challenged!!

    Chapter 3 S1

It's a case of absence making the hearts grow fonder and other parts harder!!! Much has been left unsaid, I would have expected there would have been insurance settlements in the deaths of both Mac's siblings...funds available for any college, Mac as valedictorian, left me stunned there weren't any scholarship offers. Like others, I found the lack of return addresses on the cards sent, along with the hiatus before the first was sent, puzzling... Then there is what happened on the path on that first hike at Devin's family cabin...we have an enigma wrapped inside a mystery,,,
  13. One of the best stories to grace the pages of Gay Authors and it has it all, romance...some odd characters...mystery...humor, think ice-cold bottle of Ensure...an old victorian mansion with secret staircases, a missing will...and finding the strength to bust open a closet door... Be prepared, once you start, you'll find it difficult to put down!!!

    Chapter 21

First of all...thank you for the time and effort for gracing us with this story... Thank god Rick was where he needed to be as Jonathon proved himself right to the end...I suspect the boxes weren't full of trinkets... I found the following to be so painfully honest...I've been involved in a 13 yr family battle over an inheritance, the details of the will are unambiguous yet unlike Marc, there are those who can't see past their own childish intransigency... Why wouldn‘t these cravings leave him? Time after time, his mother had hurt him. His longing for her had been painful, and his resentment peppered with hope for too long. He needed to let go. Get angry, if that‘s what it took to banish her. But was it really productive, or even fair, to be angry? The truth was, he didn‘t even know his mother. Whatever motivations or reasons or even regrets she kept close to her heart were a mystery to him. His was still a child‘s anger, a child‘s hope. But he hadn‘t been a child for a long time. It was past time to let go. What planet is Marc's mother living on, off running because people needed her, things that needed doing...unlike her child??? Whatever gave her the thought that he'd come running, did it ever occur to either one of them that their first responsibility before saving the world, was their son??? “You‘re so thin.” He‘d wanted to say it differently, or maybe he‘d wanted it to mean something he couldn‘t verbalize, but Maggie tilted her head, acknowledging his words, and after that, it didn‘t seem necessary. “I lead a very active life, Marc. Sometimes I think it might be time to slow down, but then there are other things that need to be done, more people who need me, and I‘m off and running again.” She laughed, the same soft, lilting sound that Marc remembered from his childhood. “It suits me, this thing your father and I do.” A gust of wind rushed past, and she lifted her face to it, inhaling deeply. “I didn‘t want to presume anything,” she said, “so I waited, hoping you‘d come.” I'm so glad to see the Mill brought back to its original splendor, I have a fetish for old, historical buildings, and the hint of the future to come, the work that lays ahead of them. You've created a fan @Libby Drew and while I look forward to reading more of your work, I look forward to the day where we may return to this local and characters someday! Thank you!!!!

    Chapter 3

I'd give Greg and Junebug less than 24 hrs and Greg being Pan wouldn't affect the relationship as after all, love is love! This story warms the heart and hits all the right notes without being perspicuous...I for one, would love to see more of your work posted here!!! One of the things I loved about this chapter is how you work in the ordinary, background minutiae of day to day life, an example that adds richness and depth is the following.... A few minutes later I heard that weird sound again, like a truck backing up. "What is with that doorbell?" I asked Donnie. He shrugged. "The old bell broke. My dad had that beeper in the basement, and he hooked that up until he could buy a new bell. And then he and my mom split up, and so that's what we have now." Oh.
  16. Her parents will remain that way until her brother goes missing like the other children...then they will need her help...
  17. Vion and his helpers just may have started something they can't finish...
  18. Looks like the crystal dragons are about to meet our friends...much to the dragons detriment

    Chapter 2

I have to agree with @Backwoods Boy as to the characters you create, Dottie was a pleasant surprise and hit all the right notes, Dickie is aptly named and I see him walking behind the trash collection truck in the future, Greg is the teenage...friend everyone needs... AND...Why can I see Mrs. Hinkie working for Third Planet Inquiries...

    Chapter 74

Thank you for this latest chapter Lord Arbor, it is greatly appreciated. Learning more about the background of the various "players" it is most interesting to see how disappointed the King and those around him are distressed about the shenanigan's Grainger's family has shamefully involved themselves and by extension Grainger in... What is equally amazing is just how intuitively and reflexively extricated himself and at the same time eased the political discomfort, not only of the 'political' class and peers by his adroit maneuvering, but that of the King and the Prince of Wales. More to the point he has gained a powerful ally in Lord Rosslyn with his pre-dinner conversation. Is it any wonder that he is unequaled at sea? I think there couldn't be any better show of support... “Is the King aware of the contents of her will?” Granger asked. “He is not, but he has his suspicions,” Rosslyn said. He realized that Granger wasn’t following his point in this conversation and attributed that to the fact that the young peer had only recently returned to England. “His Majesty is annoyed by your brother and vexed with your father. My being here is a strong message to them that he supports you.” Holding a Doctorate, PHD and a Masters in Sawzallogy from the esteemed and distinguished University of Hard Knocks, I fully sympathize with your workload, please don't think the offer of an honorary degree from said University, could be construed as anything untoward for another chapter!!! Best of luck this semester!!!
  21. Love the description of the baseball game, a triple play is one of the rarest in baseball and a joy to see when it happens...it was just the right impetus to bring the boys together...
  22. Pride goeth before the fall...Kevin and Gary need...should talk!! looking forward to more!!

    Chapter 20

What a great way to bring all the different characters together in a more affirming setting. Having the locals stand up for Marc in the diner was a shear stroke of brilliance, in fact the whole diner scene was so well done... Having said that, I had been thinking that Marc would be the one to be magnanimous, to reach out and make an effort, even after Jonathon crapped all over him for doing so...truly a putz to the nth degree. As for giving half of the estate away, it should come with conditions, overseen by Finn...that the funds raised are spent in such a manner, that none of those funds ever benefit either Maggie or Jonathon...It would be poetic justice to be a fly on the wall observing a neutered Jonathon sputtering over the lack of control!!! Just think what Finn could do if Jonathon ever stepped out of or crossed over that line.... I'm dying to see what Bruce has in the way of architectural plans and how that construction project wraps up. Tim and Bruce have intriguing possibilities, we don't know what or who is in Finn's life, is there already a certain someone? Rachel deserves her own HEA as well as Karen...then there's Maggie, does she remain a timid mouse, or will she find her voice?? Here's hoping that we get to visit these folks again.... The hallmark of a good, great author is one who can craft a tale so intriguing to engender responses such as ours!!! Well done @Libby Drew and thanks!!!
  24. While I think @Dan South might be on the mark, I'm thinking that the water of life is giving our protagonist a chance to decide the rest of his existence...that or the result of serving warm beer...

    Chapter 1

Loved this, so well done and touching on so many bases of teen angst. Including those fears we all had when struggling, not only to make that first connection, but the internal struggle to live with the decision/affirmation of our sexuality, in a world that sometimes simply doesn't get it, as it focuses on issues of decisiveness rather than the issues that critically matter... Greg laughed. "I already have." He looked around again, and then dropped a hand and patted the front of his jeans. "Makes me horny as a motherfucker." I grinned. "Makes you wanna do more stuff with her, doesn't it? Touch her, and kiss her, and maybe some other stuff?" "Yup. No doubt about that." "That's how it is for Donnie and me," I told him. He watched us for a whole ten seconds, and I could see him thinking about it. Then he nodded. "It just is, isn't it? I mean, you don't pick to be the way you are. I see it now. Either a guy looks beautiful to you, or he doesn't." I had to agree with that. I looked over at Donnie, at the light in his blue eyes, and the way they looked back at me, at his smile, and all the things I liked about his face. He was beautiful, yes. To me, anyway.
