  1. Uhm, when did you start the dairy herd? I have to say you've made a fine choice in your farmhand. Bet he has a fim hand at milking time.
  2. Which one are you?
  3. Maybe plan on getting a little extra rest too.
  4. Hmmm, I can think of a good kind of hurt but it doesn't require a needle. Yep, it could ...
  5. Thank you. The meal was a success. It was also good to see the one couple as we last saw them briefly at another friend's memorial service last July.
  6. Mum would tell you to use that arm to do things. She actually requested they put the shot in her dominant arm then came home and dry mopped the floors. Using the arm helps ease the the ache.
  7. Greetings of the day y'all. Mum and I are hosting 3 couples today for a meal in celebration of the season. Traditionally since I was a small child mum would host both sets of my grandparents and another couple they knew for dinner on Palm Sunday. Easter dinner was always a celebration with mum's extended family. After mum and my stepdad moved to SC they would host a small group of friends. Last year Covid put paid to that tradition. However, all of the attendees this year, with me as the exception, have been vaccinated and can safely gather. We are serving fresh spinach salad, jaeger-style roast pork, mashed potato casserole, glazed rainbow baby carrots, asparagus casserole. Dessert will be lemon meringue pie. I had intended to make a chocolate creme pie but have been coping with nasty migraine since Friday and decided it best to visit a nearby pie maker to purchase something instead.
  8. ... and declawed, would make it easier on her herd. Remember the poor lad from the other day with the scars on his bicep.
  9. I really like this one. There's so much to see ... the obvious neglect and yet the potential for renewal. Happy to hear you have a thought on how next to entertain us.
  10. As I thought.
  11. True he was, I'll wager he's grown a mite ...
  12. I can understand the lad's thrill at holding the bird as number of years ago I had the opportunity to lend a fist to the falconer at the renfaire. He was a hand short when he was taking the hawks back to the aviary after a show. He looked at me and said you've been around them often enough they recognize you and with that handed me a gauntlet and then a hawk. Later that autumn I had an opportunity to go "hawking" with he and his pair of Harris hawks. We caught a couple rabbits that later became dinner for the birds.
  13. Hmmm, the Squad tattoo as a tramp stamp.
  14. Mum had hers on Tuesday of last week with no ill effects. My dad, back in PA, got his the day before and spent most of the next 24 hrs sleeping, otherwise okay.

    Chapter 42

Good point. However, it may be possible that because she she passes along mitochrondial dna for traits that remain dormant. That would explain why Sawyer is human but after being bitten was able to see the "magic" that flows in wolves. Humans pass along such dna through the maternal line. That dna is unaffected by dna passed from the father and remains virtually unchanged from generation to generation.
  16. G'day y'all. It has become warm and muggy. Current temp is 67/19° with 100% humidity and bright Carolina sunshine. Forecast to reach 80/27°. My head aches.
  17. Ritch gets knocked on his ass by a sucker punch and gets a promotion. Yep, he's CJ's little brother. Speaking of CJ, wait until he sees the nose ... I like Bremen. "The Wing" ... has a ring to it.
  18. You warm and cuddly ...
  19. And that was probably just in the last 5 minutes ...
  20. Oh, I see Val's getting ready to change the litterbox ...
  21. At 6:30am it is currently 60/15° with 100% humidity. Forecast is for mostly sunny with high temp in the low/mid 70's/23°. Were it not for the cooler ocean waters nearby we could reach significantly warmer temps in the 80's.

    Chapter 42

Finally ... Jimmy bites and truly mates Sawyer. Now to see how those loose strings are pulled together ... answers man, answers. Wait, the drawback to that might be reaching the end of the story. I hate having conflicting desires ... Excellent chapter.

    Chapter 42

A misogynist would suggest because Maddie is female and Fergus wasn't. Though it could be a trait determined by the sire just like gender.
  24. Looks kinda slippery, better hang on tight.
  25. Yesterday, Tuesday, after brekkie mum, the pup and I went to a local greenhouse and bought a bunch of plants for the flowerbeds. It was lovely. Now though I've a bit of planting to do plus I realized I need more plants.
