Shea needs to remember that Cyn spent so much of his adult life in his deer form that much of what makes us "human" is a mystery. Then too Cyn is a virgin so everything he knows about sex is something learned by observation of and talk with herd members. Someone needs to have a bit of a human birds and bees chat. Not to mention what lycan mating involves. I suspect the Cyn equates the physical act as mating but as with his understanding of dating doesn't yet comprehend the emotional and physical bonds that will come with mating. Today would have been my stepdad's 89th birthday and it's the day we celebrate Thistle's 9th birthday.

Congrats to Mickey on reaching this milestone birthday. It seems so short a time since he was 14 and diving into unsafe waters and now a mostly adult. How long have Mickey and Remy been together? I know it been a few years.

Uhm ... There was the year my mum thought it would be great to dress me in drag for Halloween. I might have been 10 or 11, still in elementary school. I wore my own underpants but from there it was all female clothes. This was the 60's so women still wore girdles with the little tabs to hold nylons up. Fortunately being so young I wasn't developed enough for things to be too cramped. I wore a little pencil skirt, blouse and cardigan. Then there was the makeup and the wig a neighbor lent. I was frighteningly pretty. My dad wasn't too thrilled. He took me to trick or treat in another neighborhood than ours where we had family friends with a boy my age. No one mocked or made fun of me and it was all in fun. There was though one creepy guy who didn't "believe" I was a boy and wanted me to prove it by showing him what was under my skirt. Tim, the boy I was with, and I both told him no. When we got back to Tim's he told his two older brothers about the guy who was a jerk. They asked what happened. Tom and Terry were both big guys and on the high school football team. They told us we did right telling him no and soon left on an "errand". I was too young and innocent to know about pedophiles and guess I was lucky. Anyway, yeah, I've worn a bra.

It's been an interesting morning beginning in the wee dark hours. Thistle has been out of sorts lately. Not being much interested in eating his usual food he's only eaten small amounts. Yesterday his appetit returned and he ate well at both morning and evening meals. The local independent pet store gave us small sample packs of food for him to try. There was one he seemed to really like so yesterday I bought a 4lb bag. He had that mixed with his other food and cleaned his bowl. About 1:15am he woke me needing to go out. He had a larger than normal doopy. Then we went back to bed. I had difficulty going back to sleep as my head ached. After about 45 minutes I dozed off. At 3am Thistle woke me again needing to go out. He had a second looser doopy then back to bed. At 5am when the alarm went off I thought no it's the weekend we'll sleep another hour. It took 20 minutes of that hour until I dozed off. At 6am we got up. Thistle wanted to go out immediately. He walked to the far side of the yard and promptly threw up. Over the course of the next two hours he had two additional very loose doops. He isn't lethargic, no fever, has an appetite (I fed him 3/4C of rice mixed with chicken which he ate with no adverse effects, he had another 3/4C at noon). Other than the gastrointestinal upset he seems fine. I'm chalking it up to overeating and a new food. We are expecting rain and have been waiting for it to arrive. Both mum's knees and my head are aching. I made a chocolate creme pie. Because I have a headache I chose to use a Pillsbury readymade crust instead of making one from scratch. I was amazed/disappointed/annoyed by how much the crust shrank when blind baked. I started with the crimped edge standing above the pie plate all around only to end up with it about a half-inch below the rim. I couldn't fit all the filling in the crust even with mounding it in the center. Fortunately it's a really good filling, it uses three types of chocolate, and I'll top it with freshly made whipped cream so the finished pie will be good. Oh, I picked my first snowpeas this morning. I got two pods, one for me and one for mum. We're livin' large.

While they share common values they are distinct individuals. CJ being older has maturity and life experience Ritch has yet to gain. Their worldviews are likely to always differ since the lives they've chosen differ.

I have to admit I chose the wrong Squad member to highlight the fundraising event by going with one of my favorites. Knowing it was a fundraiser for Heros Haven made Brad seem a natural though giving additional thought his rendition of the national anthem wouldn't be on par with a Voice finalist. My other fav choice would have been Harley but no matter how entertaining his talk on motorcycle mechanics might have been it wouldn't create the draw of a Grammy winner. I guess Chipper made the most sense under the circunstances.

I've encountered a serious issue with this story. I was chatting with a friend the other day and was about to tell him what Ritch was up to at the Academy when I remembered two important facts ... first, he would have no idea who Ritch was and more importantly Ritch isn't a breathing person. Note I didn't say living because the individuals you've peopled your stories with do live lives in our minds. I suppose that's a compliment or a statement on my mental faculties. BTW ... HAPPY 63rd BIRTHDAY!
