Larkspur seems a nice prosperous town. I'm envisioning them buying two plots, with Boone getting first choice and Coy buying an adjoining plot. Probably plot 282 and the one next to it, doing so would give them 214 acres. It will be interesting to see what that land is like. Riverside property would have a number of advantages so long as it's not flood prone. Plus if they could begin by clearing one plot to farm and leave the other to timber later as the town grows and lumber becomes a commodity. I curious to see what comes next.

I'm picturing Keith coated in powdered sugar ... Not sure what Shiro did to get Keith recognized as Star but he must have hit Sanda with something ... it's likely obvious to everyone that she doesn't like Keith and judges him unfairly. We've reached the painful part where we start to lose contestants we know and like.

At least Tristan is giving serious thought to trying to make things work with Peter. Yes, it would be better. Both have grown in maturity, both realize what they had and lost and both want to have it again. Plus there's TT. Pour yourself another cup of magic elixir Tristan and rewrap that Captain Whatchamacallit toy for TT you're gonna see them for Christmas. Afterall, you've got Santa responsibilities to uphold.

I so want to watch Keith at work, your description makes it seem a thing of beauty. Why doesn't Sanda like Keith? Has she got a thing for Shiro and is jealous or does she just not like the idea of such a young guy excelling?

I think covering the cakes with marzipan is a more British/UK tradition. It's not done much in the US. Since we don't care for it I've never seen reason to go to the trouble or expense.

We made fruitcakes about six weeks ago. They need to "age" a bit before they're at their best. Ours are lightly doused with Bourbon. I've been assured by two different households that the ones we sent them a gifts are excellent.

You did notice that the video begins with them clad in plaid kilts. You're also well aware that means they're ... MINE! Just 'cause my head aches doesn't mean you can poach. I may visit your herd from time to time for strictly platonic reasons but I never try to outright abscond with the lads.

There's a town back home dealing with roosting black vultures. They're apparently very destructive in addition to being messy. Since they belong to the raptor family they are protected under federal law.

Uhmmmm ... a pepperoni pizza has pepperoni, a mushroom pizza has mushrooms, a veggie pizza has veggies. Where are the cowboys on your cowboy pizza? It does look tasty. We had shrimp and asparagus stirfry over buckwheat soba noodles.

Yes, I was referring to the handle. It's typical on this side of the pond to have a deadbolt similar to the one you have as an additional lock plus another door handle or doorknob to open the door. I take comfort in knowing I'm not the only one wondering. Isn't the world a curious place

Has anyone else noticed how level the new door makes the floor appear? Uhm, Marty, where's the door latch on the new door? Just another thought ... now you have a new door to open to the new year.
