Wonder what Tamas was expecting from the freed Valerian? Certainly not what it seemed he was about to reap. Though he did say it was worth his life to set him free.
But, but, but ... I'm not ready for it to end. I neeeed a couple more chapters. Seriously, this is as usual an excellent chapter. It brings the story to a soft conclusion that allows more to come as fits in other tales. Thanks for sharing Brett's return to SoCal.
G'day y'all. It's a damp dreary morning here. Mild temp., 74/23° with light rain. The rain is good as it's been rather hot and dry here the past month. The local paper this morning had a front page article expressing concerns over the recent dearth of rain and it's effcts on the corn, bean and peach crops. Agriculture is a big economic driver so weather is always a clisely monitored concern.
The rain put paid on our usual morning walk but we'll leave soon to head to the local market. It opens at 7am and the so number of patrons allowed inside at any one time is restricted so I want to be there early.
When I took mum for her last appointment to have her eye injection we learned she now has macular degeneration in both eyes. She's had it in the left eye for years but the doctor saw in the right as well. She'll need injections every four weeks instead of every six. Smoking when she was younger is likely the reason.
Hi bro.
Remember how I mentioned the forecast was for the day to get warmer. Well it did, 90/32° with 57% humidity making it feel like 98/37°. Pup and I were sat out in the shade most of the afternoon but then it got to be enough. Made my head ache. Looks the the stormscare on the horizon too.
G'day y'all. The day here began dull and overcast too. It is however being to brighten. Currently 75/24° with 87% humidity so feels muggy. Forecast high of 89/32° with t-storms possible later in the day.
Today is another hot one. Currently at noon it is 87/30° but the 62% humidity makes it feel like 94/34°. We are under heat advisory until 8pm this evening because the forecast is for heat index of 100/38°+. Additionally we've been placed under a severe t-storm watch until 7pm.
I can understand the frustration with being a distance away. When I'm at my home in PA mum is over 600 miles/965km away and when I'm with her in SC dad is the one out of reach.
