G'day y'all. We're forecast to have another warm day today before a front passes through. It's currently 82/28° but with the humidity it feels a bit warmer at 84/29°. I'd like to say I was doing something productive/useful with my time but I'm not. I'm simply lazing under the tree. My head doesn't actually ache but feels swollen. That's often a precursor to a migraine. I haven't been entirely lazy today. Thistle and I went for our usual morning walk. Together we walked a bit over 2.25 miles then he had a cool drink and rested in the car while I walked another 1.75 miles. The last bit I did in 25 minutes, that would be a pace of just under 15 minutes a mile. From there we went through the automatic carwash, stopped for a few items at the grocery store and stopped by Starbuck's for a latte. While that sounds like a lot it isn't really. The carwash is next to the grocery and Starbuck's is less than .25 mile away. Oh, and I put the wheelie bin and recycling out as it's trash day. All sounds positively exhausting, guess I'll go see what Val's herd is doing.

Yeah, but I never tried rustlin'. I just bring 'em cookies. Oh and I always make certain the gate is closed when I leave.

In the past she seemed terrified of the possibility folks would try pilfering from her herd so she kept them enclosed. She even emphasized her belief that I couldn't sneak in and out just to hang out with the boys. It was all platonic I assure you.

It's turned out to be a rather pleasant summer afternoon. Warm, 91/33° but the relative humidity has dropped remarkably. There's also a light breeze. Of course we're sitting in the shade, feels considerably hotter in the sun.

Yes. This is typical. I know he's okay because while he's lazily sprawled at the bottom of the garden lounge he's alert to all that's going on around us in the garden.

Thank you Albert. He's still a bit lethargic but beginning to perk up. A lazy morning suits him nicely. I suspect by mid-afternoon he'll be himself again.

G'day y'all. Slightly quieter morning. Thistle didn't feel up to walking this morning so I went alone. Set a fast pace, roughly 2.5 miles in 40 minutes. Home again for a bit of brekkie then bedding into the washer and dryer. Now we're sitting in shade relaxing and catching up with the local newspaper. I have an appointment for a 90 minute massage at 10:30. It's been over 8 months since my last so this one is necessary. After that I'll place the weekly phone chat with mum and enjoy a peaceful afternoon. Hope all is well with you.

Hi Page. I really appreciate the scratches. My dad took me to the vet and now I feel yucky.

G'day y'all. It's been a busy morning. We were at the park by 5:40am. Walked for an hour than home for a shower before heading to the dentist. I was due for my annual checkup and cleaning. My dentist was four years behind me in high school though only 3 years younger. He was and is a very attractive guy. Also, very married with 4 adult kids. From the dentist I came home and had a bit of brekkie, a piece of blueberry/peach buckle, before taking Thistle to the vet for his annual checkup. Everything is good. His heart murmur is no more pronounced that before. He got his lepto, lyme and bordatella innoculations so he'll be a bit lethargic the rest of today and much of tomorrow. It's well worth it though as Lyme is an issue here this year. Dr Chris said he has lost 2 dogs to kidney failure as a result of Lyme this year. From the vet we headed home with a quick stop at the Ace Hardware to pick up a bag of potting soil so I could pot a pink tropical hibiscus for my deck and prep another pot for 2 lime green sweet potato vines. I may have overdone it a bit as I've a migraine developing but for now we're resting in the shade.
