  1. The first flocks of robins passed through here nearly a month ago about the same time a pair of mergansers visited the pond out back and the bluebirds returned. While there are no woods for hiking here your words brought lovely remembrances of past Spring tramps back home. Thank you.
  2. It most certainly has. I had 202 notifications in my box this morning about a dozen were not responses to Fare Thee Well.
  3. We had meatloaf with caramelized onions and mushrooms, baked potatoes, steamed broccoli and fresh strawberries.
  4. I hope your trip was enjoyable. Stay well please.

    Taking a Hit

Wait! He lost? But, but ... well that wasn't quite the happily ever after I was expecting.
  6. Oh, you mean you mugged some poor little old lady in the parking lot ... again.
  7. Mum and I are trying to do our bit to continue supporting local restaurants we patronize. On Friday we ordered take out lunches from the place we usually go to on Tues for breakfast. Today we ordered lunch plus soup for this evening's dinner from the place we go to for Sunday brunch. Both are locally owned family businesses. Our thought is to order a meal each week as long as possible. There are a few other places we go to occasionally. We plane on rotating through them buying from one this week, another the next and so on. Doing this means we're helping them survive.
  8. Yeah, but Walmart has sold out and Costco doesn't carry that brand.
  9. What's the price per pound on prime beefcake?
  10. That explains the warm snugglies I felt a bit ago. Thanks.
  11. Uhm B, you're thinkin' about the bread right?
  12. Sadly Albert no but thank you for asking.
  13. Since they're savory how will you serve them? As a side to soup or salad or as accompaniment to a meal.
  14. Mornin' WQ.
  15. How did the bread turn out. Tasty as you'd imagined?
  16. Stay safe as you can B. If you work from home does that mean you can work wearing your speedo?
  17. Interesting that when chocolately goodness is involved Thor and the rest of the herd are so easily forgotten.
  18. The high temp yesterday reached 84/29°, this morning it is overcast, breezy and a chilly 54/12° which may not sound bad but the high is forecast to only reach 59/15°. That's well below the seasonal average and the breeze makes it feel colder. Rain is forecast for later, better than the potential snow I see some may get. The migraine continues but I was able to take Thistle for a long morning walk and made mum and I bisciuts for brekkie. Don't get too excited, I just opened a can of Pillsbury Grands. Still they tasted good. Mum is feeling okay. We think it's mostly a case of allergy. The pollen is currently heavy and the breezes the last few days have scattered it. Anything left outside for any length of time develops a coating of yellow.
  19. Hi Page 🐶
  20. Greetings 👋 (I'm practicing my virtual social-distancing)
  21. Was out a bit more than an hour and a half and had to quit. The temp and bright sun got to be too much. Fortunately I accomplished what I'd hope to. Now, after a shower and lunch, I'm relaxing and hoping the building migraine doesn't become too severe. It's currently 81/27° and sunny. The sea breeze is just beginning so that should help moderate things. Tomorrow's high is forecast to be about 20° cooler than today.
  22. Gonna go out and play in the dirt ...
  23. Isn't that how the "Herd" got started ...
  24. So @Valkyrie are you effected by the governor's order that all non-essential workers stay home? I see the Governor of Illinois is issuing a similiar order.
  25. Is your mare likely to kick her hard enough to hurt or just enough to make a point of leaving her alone?
