  1. A front passed through around dawn this morning. There are gaps of blue sky amongst the clouds but it has become increasingly breezy. I'm going to take the pup for a walk.
  2. I'm holding out for more CotT. I'm thinkin' the baby should soon start school ... 😄
  3. The county had three new cases added today and the first death.
  4. Sources I checked list 27-42lbs for female border collies. When you pet her can you still easily feel her ribs? If so her weight is likely fine.
  5. I think I last had a beer two maybe three years ago at one of the brewpubs here in SC. I'm certain it was a very good brew but I still have not developed a taste for the stuff. Now, give me a chilled pint of cider or perry 😋
  6. Greetings Albert. Sadly no. I'm struggling with a more severe migraine today. Unfortunately it is compounded by a gloomy mood that is a frequent side effect of the worse headaches. Additionally it is a wet dreary chilly day that just drags on the spirit. I will however persevere. Thank you for your care and concern.
  7. In just over a week we went from the first confirmed case of the virus in the immediate area to 16. Five were added yesterday and the neighboring county announced the first two cases there. The county line is less than a mile away. We're limiting our excursions to groceries or take out. Mum usually stays home while I make the trip. She rode along yesterday when we dropped off the info to have her taxes done. She waited in the car while I made the dropoff.
  8. The first flocks of robins passed through here nearly a month ago about the same time a pair of mergansers visited the pond out back and the bluebirds returned. While there are no woods for hiking here your words brought lovely remembrances of past Spring tramps back home. Thank you.
  9. It most certainly has. I had 202 notifications in my box this morning about a dozen were not responses to Fare Thee Well.
  10. We had meatloaf with caramelized onions and mushrooms, baked potatoes, steamed broccoli and fresh strawberries.
  11. I hope your trip was enjoyable. Stay well please.

    Taking a Hit

Wait! He lost? But, but ... well that wasn't quite the happily ever after I was expecting.
  13. Oh, you mean you mugged some poor little old lady in the parking lot ... again.
  14. Mum and I are trying to do our bit to continue supporting local restaurants we patronize. On Friday we ordered take out lunches from the place we usually go to on Tues for breakfast. Today we ordered lunch plus soup for this evening's dinner from the place we go to for Sunday brunch. Both are locally owned family businesses. Our thought is to order a meal each week as long as possible. There are a few other places we go to occasionally. We plane on rotating through them buying from one this week, another the next and so on. Doing this means we're helping them survive.
  15. Yeah, but Walmart has sold out and Costco doesn't carry that brand.
  16. What's the price per pound on prime beefcake?
  17. That explains the warm snugglies I felt a bit ago. Thanks.
  18. Uhm B, you're thinkin' about the bread right?
  19. Sadly Albert no but thank you for asking.
  20. Since they're savory how will you serve them? As a side to soup or salad or as accompaniment to a meal.
  21. Mornin' WQ.
  22. How did the bread turn out. Tasty as you'd imagined?
  23. Stay safe as you can B. If you work from home does that mean you can work wearing your speedo?
  24. Interesting that when chocolately goodness is involved Thor and the rest of the herd are so easily forgotten.
  25. The high temp yesterday reached 84/29°, this morning it is overcast, breezy and a chilly 54/12° which may not sound bad but the high is forecast to only reach 59/15°. That's well below the seasonal average and the breeze makes it feel colder. Rain is forecast for later, better than the potential snow I see some may get. The migraine continues but I was able to take Thistle for a long morning walk and made mum and I bisciuts for brekkie. Don't get too excited, I just opened a can of Pillsbury Grands. Still they tasted good. Mum is feeling okay. We think it's mostly a case of allergy. The pollen is currently heavy and the breezes the last few days have scattered it. Anything left outside for any length of time develops a coating of yellow.
