Brett and César may feel that CJ and Oz stepped on their parental toes and I do think it might be best if the parental units were told sooner rather than later. However Ritchie and Lucy are old enough not to need parental approval and sought help from responsible adult family members. With CJ and Owen supporting them the youngsters are not going to feel trapped into doing something foolish.
  2. I know you're just waiting for me to turn my back and then ... just so you know I've strung that fine spiderweb netting biologists use for netting songbirds at all the doors and windows ... and I've fed him.

First let me say this was an excellent chapter. I was surprised at first at CJ's response. You could tell his mouth was about to engage before he had his brain in gear but then he stopped and went to change giving him the time for his better self to emerge. He loves his brother and the kid needed him that was all that mattered and as we've come to expect from him, he stepped in to help. Personally, I'm prolife but believe that prolife means caring for that child and providing the necessary things for them to growup happy and healthy. It also means providing education and resources for people to behave responsibly when it comes to birth control. Too many of those who are antiabortion (not the same as prolife) don't give a rat's ass about what kind of life they are sentencing the child to, they only want to force others to live according to their beliefs. I also am adamantly against men who think they have the right to tell women what they can and cannot do with their bodies. Only the father is entitled to an opinion on the fate of his child but ultimately it's the mother's choice. Ritchie and Lucy thought they were being responsible and the choice they made is right for them. I support that choice whole heartedly. I now return the soapbox to its rightful owner.

That's like saying "mine's not the smallest one in the locker room". Yes, yes short/small can be satisfying too.
  5. YES! He'll do very nicely. Thank you. BACKOFF Clo!
  6. It's currently 82/28° with tropical humidity and abundant Carolina sunshine. Just spent a couple hours working on outside chores but had to quit. Fortunately only one thing left to do, take things to the recycle center. I'll do that when I pick Thistle up after his morning at puppycamp. That gives me a bit of time to relax inside where it's cool.
  7. He's got a pretty face but there's too much meat on them arms. He'd break me with the first hug.
  8. So you're going Dutch.
  9. G'day y'all. The warm muggy weather has returned. Turned the ac back on this morning. My head is better. For Christmas the year before last Lit sent me a reuseable ice/hot pack. I keep it in mum's freezer. Used it last night and it helped alot.
  10. I like planting dark red geraniums in galvanized pails. I've used them for boston ferns too. Currently there is a spider plant in one in my bedroom at mum's. My head is aching horribly and the distabilized chemistry in my brain has sent me deep into the doldrums. In addition I am just nauseous enough to be uncomfortable but not enough to actually be sick. If I could be sick the pain gets bad enough that I pass out and wake up several hours feeling much better. Damned migraine. Mum went for some Coke for my tummy.
  11. Yeah, occasionally.
  12. Not when you haven't changed it all winter.
  13. Yeah, you don't want to touch it ...er, I mean that.
  14. Great minds. Thank you B for so eloquently stating what I was thinking.
  15. Well that was a fun bit of self examination/correction. I thought it simply creative licencse but oversight from a primordial god would also explain why things in the stories seem to resolve themselves so handily.
  16. A little rough getting your crank going after that long cold winter ...
  17. No. I saw the notice for the Tampa Chronicles with a different author attached. At first I thought someone might have stolen your story so I came back to GA to verify the story was yours and saw your updated author name. BTW, I enjoyed that story and have been reading the others posted here.
  18. Wait ... I thought your tractor was sexy.
  19. I'm familiar with that condition. If I try to do too much physical activity that will happen and trigger a migraine. Hope that the steps your taking help. Just be aware when you get up from lying down or when standing, do it slowly and don't move too quickly.
  20. Gee, I hope the next chapter isn't too long in coming. The hot water could run out with all of us stuck fantasizing over Rob and Jazz in the shower ...
  21. I'm not too bad thanks. Took mum grocery shopping this morning then did a few errands before taking her to lunch. She had a chicken-peach quesadilla. Then off to the jeweler to pick up her engagement ring. When she fell last year and broke her wrist she must have injured the knuckle in her ring finger. It is enlarged and she hasn't been able to get her ring on since. The jeweler resizrdithe ring but had to add little beads on inside so it would not spin around on her finger. I bathed Thistle after we got home. He was due plus it's time for a new flea/tick collar. Now we're all resting quietly. Me, because all the activity pushed me to the point of aggravating my head. The other two because it's nap time. Hope you and Steve are well. I'm guessing you are since you've invited Val to dinner. Though I think the reason is that you want to check for yourself if her butt crack is showing.
  22. I remember dressing like that. A snug pair of 501 button-fly's and a sweater. I was about the same age as this fella.
  23. What time are you serving?
  24. Fingers crossed and a prayer miss molly.
