Actually, Gary, the point of the blog is up to the reader. I'm researching NAFTA, and I'm adding the debate one part at a time so that people can watch (if they want to) and make up their own minds. I have my own opinion so far, especially about the fact that Al Gore, who claims that George Bush betrayed America, is so in favor of this agreement. But I'll save it for later, when I've had more time to do my research and make an informed post about the pro's and cons of NAFTA. Also, as a side note, right now isn't the best time for me to add any personal commentary. Feeling the way i do right now, I'm afraid I'd tell the truth and start a flame war with an entire website dedicated to men 55 and older and their weirdo opinions on how AIDS is spread and what safe sex means.

I'm with Krista too...I run. To me there's nothing like a long, treacherous jog to get something out of my system or to give myself a pick me up. Of course lifting weights or going to the beach work too, and sometimes when I'm really depressed and can't come out of it, I write something. Anything. It doesn't have to be a story, or a poem. It can be a letter to someone you care about, or who you want to get something off of your chest to. Of course, there's always chocolate :ranger:

Finally, after two long months of making my initial request, I can finally say that my work is mine again. I'm not going to mention a domain, but what I will do is caution other authors to be careful where they ask to have their work hosted. Not all site owners will be as willing to take your stories down, and the process could take several weeks. It hasn't been fun, and unfortunately, this morning I had to be very assertive about what I wanted. And as everyone here knows, I hate being assertive. I'm now one step closer to my goal of having my work hosted exclusively at Gay Authors, which in hindsight, is the only site I should have ever committed to in the first place. I certainly wish all other sites good luck, but I think that in order to be the best, you have can't be on a second rate site with second rate authors. It seems to me that NAFTA has been a disaster for the United States and its working class sector, but for some reason, it's been supported by democrats and republicans alike. Assuming that they aren't having sex with anyone else, ever again after they have sex with someone who they know is HIV+, I can see the point that they weren't acting irresponsibly. But let's be realistic....if someone is ignorant enough to sleep with someone they know is HIV+, they're most likely ignorant enough to believe that they can sleep with others without disclosing what they've done and that it shouldn't be an issue. And in the other thread, there's only one person arguing that it's not safe for those who are HIV+ to sleep around. Here's an excerpt from a recent post on that discussion topic The poster goes on to say, among other things, that saliva kills HIV. The poster also mentions that it's safe to have anal sex with no condom with someone who's HIV+ as long as you pull out and there are no legions present. I know that these are two separate forums and two separate topics, but since it was brought up again, I figured I'd point a few of the unfortunate myths out that people seem desperate to believe.

What's sad is that over in another forum, I'm actually having to debate the fact that it's safer not to have sex with someone who's HIV + than to use a condom or engage in oral sex. I'm constantly amazed at how people can fool themselves into believing what they want so they can justify their irresponsibility.

Name: MSNBC Designation: Enemy Deserving: No. While Chris Matthews, and others individually, may have deserved some Clinton ire, on balance the coverage on MSNBC was fair. His recent Vanity Fair article, "The Comeback Id," may have contained some useful information, but it was swimming in a sauce of smears and innuendo. Name: Black People Designation: Ingrates Deserving: No. Even if you accept the premise that Bill Clinton did more for black people than any other president in US history, that's a pretty thin ledger. In case Obama does pick Webb, and they go on to win, the dems don't have to worry about losing the seat to the repubs. Tim Kaine gets to pick Webb's replacement. Also, John Warner is finally retiring and checking into a nursing home, and Mark Warner is running against Jim Gilmore. There's no freaking way Warner loses to Gilmore. He was a popular governator in Virginia, and people are sick and tired of the crap that the republicans bring with them. It's no coincidence that since Gilmore left office, Virginia has elected two democrat governors in a row. Then they gave George Allen the boot for Webb, and the first thing Webb did was get in George Bush's face about Iraq. The thing is, Obama needs a strong military guy. He doesn't have any military experience of his own, just like Bush. Bush had Cheney, who also had no real experience, and look at the mess they've made. This is an opportunity for the democrats to shut the republicans up about being stronger on defense than they are, and I also think that Webb would be a great choice to run for President when Obama's time as president is over. If Obama picks Richards, it's going to be a huge mistake. He'll be a good cabinet member, but I can't see him exciting many Hillary supporters that are still mad enough to vote for the mummy McCain. Personally, I don't know enough about Rendell to form an opinion about him, but I know that I think Biden would be a big fat flop. I guess that in the end, it's almost certain that Obama will beat McCain, but the right running mate could be the difference between a squeeker and a conclusive victory.

There's only one choice for his VP pick. Hopefully, he's smart enough to know what he has to do and who he has to run with. I can't imagine that Obama could find a better running mate than Senator Jim Webb. There's nothing the republicans can say about Senator Webb's patriotism, his honorable military service or his executive experience. This man is a real American hero, and if there are any doubters out there, check this out..... Webb received the Navy Cross for actions on July 10, 1969. The citation read: I'm dying for one of the republican scumbag talk show hosts or politicians try to doubt his patriotism or his love for this nation. Is John McCain a hero too? Hell yes, and I'd flame anyone who calls his patriotism, love for this nation or military service into question. The difference is, Webb has served as Secretary of the Navy under President Regan, and he has a realistic view of the war in Iraq. So while I know that the Senator from Illinois doesn't read my blog, he ought to make an exception today and do what I say. He'll be unbeatable in November if he does.
