  1. No prob, Tim It was Drewbie who sent it to me, but he always sends me cool stuff to watch
  2. Well, my favorite author has been MIA for a long time, but my original reason for being at GA was to read his stories. The secondary reason was to discuss his work, and my third reason was that I started writing stories myself because I was so inspired by my favorite author. So my choices are as follows: The regular stories The community aspect/feel of the forums The Blogs
  3. I have to see two married people I can barely stand to look at every single day :nuke:
  4. I think that the days of marriage being defined as a union of two people in the eyes of the law or in the eyes of God are coming to an end. I mean, in reality, the idea is antiquated and something that at some point, society as a whole will come to abandon. Personally, I think that marriage is something that should be, well, personal. The government has no right to issue licenses, and while any church can certainly recognize anything it wants, those who don't practice any sort of religion or who don't carry beliefs will still commit to each other. So, after all of that, here's my stance.... I don't think I want to get married because it would go against everything I believe in. Like I said before, the function of the government isn't to recognize a union between two people. As a minarchist, applying for a marriage license would be hypocritical. The love, trust and respect that I share with whomever I choose to spend the rest of my life with is worth more than some crappy piece of paper, anyway.
  5. I've never understood why animals are smart enough to know when it's time to eat, and when they need to go out to go to the bathroom, but they can't keep their ignorant asses out of the road..lol. Our first dog Skalaki got hit by a car when I was ten, but all it did was glance off of him and scare the living crap out of him. But do you think he learned his lesson? Hell no. The next time we opened the front door, he bolted and ran right out into the road again. That's when my dad decided to put him on a runner in the backyard. I've never really been a big fan of cats, but I hate it when I see one run across the road anyway. Take Care, Carl.
  6. It's funny, because i'm not scared to die or anything, but I definitely don't want to die yet. I guess I just have to leave it in The Lord's hands and let him work in my life the way he plans to. I think I definitely got a kick in the rear end this week, and I actually feel better for it
  7. Sorry in advance for anyone creeped out by this entry. Lately I've been thinking a lot about dying. Not wanting to die, but just dying in general. I guess more to the point, it's been consuming all of my thoughts and even my dreams at night. I just get the feeling that death might be right around the corner for me, and I can't shake it. Last night I woke up in a cold sweat from a dream that I was being murdered, and a couple of nights before, I actually woke up kneeling at my bedside, and I swear I was talking to God. I'm a religious person, and I believe in God, but I don't necessarily believe in premonitions. Still, I can't shake this feeling that something's about to happen to me. It's like a sense of urgency I have to tie up all of my loose ends and do what I can to patch things up with people who matter to me, especially Taylor. Of course this is probably all just stupidity on my part, but as stupid as it seems, it is what it is. We all have to go sometime, and maybe my time is coming sooner than later. Or, maybe not. I guess only time will tell, huh?
  8. After telling the truth about White Entitlement and Hillary Clinton, Father Pfleger puts a FOX News reporter in his place. I swear to God, this guy is my frigging hero. http://youtube.com/watch?v=F0wvQMqSzTM
  9. I really like dear meat. I'd LOVE to try reindeer meat. I looked it up on Wikipedia and it says that caribou in the US are considered reindeer. I wonder if there's a difference between that and what you guys eat. Everything else you described sounds scrumptious, too.
  10. Hi Procyon, Maybe you can answer a question for me.....is Swedish food anything like Danish food? Or is there a difference at all? How about compared to Norwegian food?
  11. I've always had this idea in my mind of what I think Swiss or Danish food would taste like, but I really want to try it for myself. The last time we went to Disney World we ate at a Norwegian buffet in Epcot and I imagine that it was close to the food of the Danish or the Swiss, but I might be wrong. Bob, is Norwegian food similar to Swiss food? How about Swiss cooking and Danish food? Are they totally different? I get good Greek food when we go home to California, but here at home it's all American (to me) cooking. Lately I've been doing the vegetarian thing, but I've been craving a slice of lamb or a well marbled ribeye.
  12. Happy Birthday Myk
  13. Happy Birthday Tyler
  14. Gulf firm is first international port operator to be certified for security by U.S. ABU DHABI
  15. The only good film M Knight Shamalyan ever made was the commercial he shot for Big Pete's House Of Munch. He's not that good at making movies.
  16. lol..Tyler. You don't go by Petalsguitar here on GA. Oh yeah, so here's mine. My first name is Nickolas, my middle name is James and there are 8 letters in my first name
  17. Ok, so it's been 4 nearly meat free days for me I can't say that I haven't indulged a little, since I had 3 ounces of shrimp with my dinner last night, but so far I'm doing pretty good My diet has mainly consisted of leafy greens, colorful fruits and berries, whole grain carbs and at least a gallon of water a day. I was craving seafood last night, so I had my stepmom saut
  18. And to my posts about painful bladder infections that people can catch from sitting on strange toilets?
  19. Actually, I'm not posting in the political forums anymore. I can only put up with so much ignorance as it is, but when others disagree with you to the point that they start reporting your posts, it's time to walk away and be the bigger man. It's especially troubling when the one who reports said posts is just as guilty of doing what offended them in the first place. Also, I'm posting these vids because I wanted to start from the beginning and work my way up to today's debates, so we can see just who's saying what now compared to what they were saying back in the day.
  20. Something that has to be considered when it comes to a lack of feedback is the increased number of Promising, Shared Hosted and Hosted Authors. I mean really, back when I first found GA, there was no such thing as Shared Hosted or Promising, and there were only about 7 or 8 hosted authors. Now we have a ton of great talent, and I think it might be harder for forum members who aren't writers to keep up with everyone. So what's the answer? Find a way to advertise your work. Add links in your signature line, and make sure they stand out. Also, don't be shy about leaving reviews for other authors. This gets your name out there, and more often than not, people will discover that you're also a writer and look your stuff up.
  21. Well I don't know if there's a debate going on GA, but there's definitely one going on in the vids I'm posting. As an aside, guess how long it's been since I last ate meat.
  22. I'm sure there are better sources, like wise people who watch the debate here and leave their opinions on the pros and cons.
  23. I'm celebrating the fact that I was able to install a new headlight in my grandpa's truck and after several hours of making adjustments, I finally got the damn thing aimed straight ahead.
