lol...my grandpa smells like garlic all the time because he eats it with every meal. It's not so much a BO odor so much as it is a oniony/garlicky scent that he leaves behind in every room. He had a heart attack a couple years ago and ever since then, he's been on this "Garlic heals everything" kick. He even makes a protien shake for a snack in the blender and adds garlic to it

Paul Mitchell Tea Tree wax has a funny smell I don't like. I got it last year and I felt like a sprig of oregano or something. I like the original Paul Mitchell hair wax...it smells better and it's cheaper than the tea tree crap.

I shower in the morning after my workout, then again either after school or after work, depending onif I have to work that day or not. Then I always shower before bed. If I don't, I can't get comfortable. I always put AP/deoderant on and I give myself a little shot of Armani Black before I go anywhere. Also, I only use a certain kind of wax in my hair because the smell works well with my cologne. I never wear the same thing twice without it being washed...hell, sometimes I never wear the same thing twice even when it has been washed.

Disclaimer: I'm writing this blog entry with about an hour's worth of sleep. One of my friends lost his dad last night, and along with the rest of our crew, I've been at his house off and on all night and morning. Please forgive me if I don't make any sense. So Barrack Obama's the Democratic nominee for the year 2008. Hillary is out(though not technically), and everyone's wondering what's next. More specifically, everyone wants to know if Obama will pick wild Hillary to be his VP. Well guess what....it's way too early for that kind of talk. Obama and Clinton are in talks right now about setting up a meeting between the two, and everyone's buzzing about what'll be said. Well, wonder no more, people. I already have this figured out. Hillary's campaign is $30 million dollars in the hole. If she ends it now, she won't be able to hold any fundraisers to try to pay it all off. Especially the debt that the campaign owes Hillary and Bill. Of course, that opens up a whole new set of questions.... If she goes on, who would donate money to her campaign? If she quits, how will she pay off her campaign debt when she can't raise money? If she doesn't just go away quietly, and pressures Obama to make her the VP, who will it hurt more? Her or Obama? If Obama does make her his VP, does it help or hurt his campaign and his presidency (assuming he wins)? The answer to these questions are so simple. The fact is, Barrack Obama bin Laden has a ton of campaign cash left over, and now that he's got the nomination locked up, he's going to get 300 wheelbarrels full of even more cash. We know he wants Hillary to go away, and he definitely doesn't want her to be his VP. So what does he do? Simple, his campaign pays off her debt, she gives him her blessing, works hard for him on the campaign trail and after November, she goes on with her life. It's way too early to talk about Obama's pick for VP, but everyone's doing it. I think he should look to the Old Dominion for his pick if he's really interested in the best candidate. Tim Kaine, Mark Warner or Jim Webb. All three of them would be excellent choices for the VP slot, and they would all give his ticket the conservative touch it needs to win over repukes that hate John McCain. But that's a topic for another entry, so I'm just gonna break it off right here and look for some pudding or some ice cream since my belly's growling.

Hillary loses......the rest of the nation wins
NickolasJames8 commented on NickolasJames8's blog entry in Read my blog
No problemo, Bob I have a lot of ideas about what can happen, and what should happen. I think the most important thing that's happening right now is the meeting that Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton are going to have. A lot of people think it's over the VP slot, but I think it's about something entirely different. It involves Hillary's endorsement, her supporters and most important of all (to her), how much campaign debt she has. I'm getting ready to pound it out before I finish my work on a chapter I'm working on. I had a long night and morning with a friend who lost his dad last night, but I'm home now and I can't even think about sleeping right now, so I'm gonna do something to get my mind off of what happened. Predicting the next couple of weeks just might do the trick -

lol...I don't know if this would count or not, but when my stepmom talks about soda, she calls it a diet. I know she means diet soda, but I think it's kinda weird how she leaves the name of the soda off (She drinks diet sprite). She'll be all, "Nick, can you grab me a diet from the fridge?" Maybe it's a southern thing or something.

From the look of things, Hillary Clinton is at the end of the road, so to speak. We can only hope that in this case, the end of the road also means the end of her political career, as it seems she won't be the president of the United States. She doesn't need New York anymore, and while she may run for re-election, I can't see her being re-elected. Her ugly side was on full display for all to see this year, and boy was it ugly. My guess is that Obama and McCain are going to have a close election, but that Obama will pull it out. McCain is just too old to win the presidency. People in this country have to understand that a near centurion has old, out of date views that have no relevence in today's society. I'm not wishing the man harm or anything, but I wouldn't mind seeing his health take a bad turn right before the repuke convention so that they can put someone a little more tolerable than McCain up against Obama, someone like Ron Paul...ok, just kidding. I know he'd never have a chance to be nominated, much less win the Whitehouse, but the reason for that is sad, really. You've got a guy who respects the constitution and the rights of everyone in the nation, and because of that, he's cast as crazy. I guess what I'd like to know is how he's considered crazy while our current president took us to war against the wishes of the nation, and in spite of the warnings from people all around him who knew what was coming. Now we know that everything they said would happen was right, and McCain wants to continue on with this war. And somehow Ron Paul is crazy? Wow. What's amazing to me is how so many people are willing to vote for McCain. I imagine that most of them live in a singlewide trailer full of rent to own furniture, but that's another rant altogether. But it furthers my argument that not everyone should be allowed to vote. Ok, so that ends today's political rant. I've decided for personal reasons not to post in the political forums for the time being. If you'd like to debate anything I've said, or add to it, feel free to do so right here, because I won't be replying to posts in the political forums until further notice.

So Barack Obama is having more pastor issues, or I guess in this case, it's priest issues. Either way, I don't think that this guy said anything bad at all, and I find his rant on Hillary especially hilarious. I don't think I can ever get enough of him acting out his version of what happened in Iowa when Hillary broke down and cried http://youtube.com/watch?v=EBvYICKJ3TI

Life Cereal that is... I went for a hellacious jog this morning and just when I got to the point where I was about to turn around and head home, the friggin sky split wide open and it rained like there was an arc with two of every animal being loaded up. So even though I was already tired, I hauled ass back home. I dried off and poured myself a big ass bowl of cinnimon Life cereal and a huge glass of OJ. But I think I ate too much cereal. Oh well, now that I get up early to work out I can't wait for someone else to make my breakfast because I'll starve waiting. So anyway, yeah. I might throw up this morning. Just thought I'd share that with you all

Yes!!! I LOVE It's too bad Brian McKnight is considered mainstream, and his music doesn't have a focus on anger, because I'm going to see him in concert this weekend, and the price is just right for the amount of money I have to spend right now... 0.00

I think PDA's are ok...I prefer my Blackberry over other kinds, but I know some people who use the IPhone instead. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. No, I think dispalys of affection out in public are fine, as long as they're genuine. I mean, really, there's nothing tackier than the straight or gay couple who can't keep their hands and tongues to themselves for five minutes because for some odd reason, they think others want to see them make out. On the other hand, a heartfelt kiss on the lips between partners just because the moment was right is very sweet, and nothing I have a problem with.

I've been contemplating this move for a few months now, and after a long, thought out process, I've decided to go through with a major purchase that may or may not have a HUGE impact on my life. There's a flap that opens in the back for maximum comfort.

I guess my question would be this: If you were black, and you could be white, would you do it? Certainly life would be easier in the same way it would be if you could be straight.

We can discuss it if you want. I know that it seems odd, but I do consider myself gay, and my gf knows it. But I love her. I can't explain it, other than to say that I feel desperate to be with her all the time. That's painful because our parents do what they can to keep us apart. But I'm not running away from anything. If I were running away from who I was, I'd most likely have taken my page down here and at Awesomedude, and asked Myr to unregister me. I don't take what you're saying as an insult, but I think you don't understand because you aren't in my shoes. I'm not in yours either, so I can't condemn how you feel. But I can say that i stand by what I said about myself and about Kevin. I'm probably a little biased when it comes to Kevin because I think he's everything I'd like to strive to be.I can remember when he blogged about possibly coming out to his mom way back in the day, and then he blogged about how he went through with it. I was soooo proud of him, and even prouder of who I was than ever before. It's easy to be on a forum and talk about pride. None of us are ideal, I guess. I know I'm not, and I suppose that if I want to prove my pride, I'd announce my sexuality to everyone at my church. I haven't done that, and I don't just walk around with a sign that says, "I'm Gay." But that doesn't mean I want to be anything other than the gay/bi/whatever the hell you want to call me type of person that the good Lord made me.
-
I have to say that what you're saying seems a little unfair. Kevin has a family, just like the rest of us, and he had to deal with the coming out process, and I'd guess that he's still going through it. I mean, who isn't? Everytime we meet someone new and they find out we're gay/bi, the risk is there for a violent reaction or for simple rejection, which can be just as hurtful. I understand that life hasn't been easy for glbt folks in the past. All you have to do is look back on history to see that. I don't know what your personal experiences have been, but I've been called fag by almost as many people as those who took it well when I came out. My girlfriend's mom always makes smartass remarks about how I'll probably give her AIDS, and when she was pregnant, we had to listen to her mom say that we had a AIDS baby. But does that mean I'd choose not to be gay? Hell no. I'd never want to be something I'm not, and to be honest, I do feel proud of who I am. I'd like to know if that makes me naive. Ok, so maybe I'm a little naive

The views expressed by me do not represent the views of this site, or any other site. The views expressed by me are 100% correct 100% of the time. Lately there's been a lot of discussion about reproductive rights, and whether they exist or not. Some people suggest that there are no such rights for individuals. For the record, I'd like to say that while I vehemently disagree with what they say, I will defend to the death their right to say it. I just thought it would be fun to run down a list of some very famous people who say that people have no reproductive rights. Shall we?? Randall Terry Pat Robertson Fred Phelps Shirley Phelps-Roper Jerry Falwell John Hagee Sam Brownback James Dobson Sally Kern John McCain Mike Huckabee Newt Gingrich Dick Armey Dr. Laura I guess I could be wrong. I mean, with so many moderate voices who have never expressed extremist views on any topic, and who aren't hateful toward women and gays in the least, how could I have possibly questioned the stance that there's no such thing as individual reproductive rights? And just to prove my point, watch this.... http://youtube.com/watch?v=gvxWdnu9iDE -
Ugh...I know this is going to sound really stupid, but for some reason, I've always thought that Astroglide was something that people did their hair with.

I 100% agree with you on that. If we want to be seen in a positive light by the media, it's up to us not to give them something negative to cover. I'd like to think that giving a bj in the middle of the street would be illegal, because it's nothing I'd want to see someone else do. But don't you think that the "wild" aspect of such an event fuels the fire of intolerance and gives the media a chance to pigeon hole the entire community as decadent and immoral? And don't you think that it makes life easier for those who want to isolate us and prevent us from adopting kids and getting married? I don't see how acting like a nymphomaniac who can't control their urge in public has anything to do with pride. I think that if someone has pride, they would demonstrate that pride by containing themselves and acting normal. Because the media wants to give the impression that we aren't normal, and therefore, it's okay to treat us differently. It's up to us to change that perception. If I were to organize a pride parade, I'd make it clear that anyone who intended to act like an ass could stay away. This isn't about conforming to straight people and their ideals, it's about common decency, which we should all strive for. Exactly! So, knowing that the media is just waiting for something scandalous to go down, why would anyone accomodate them?
