  1. In case Obama does pick Webb, and they go on to win, the dems don't have to worry about losing the seat to the repubs. Tim Kaine gets to pick Webb's replacement. Also, John Warner is finally retiring and checking into a nursing home, and Mark Warner is running against Jim Gilmore. There's no freaking way Warner loses to Gilmore. He was a popular governator in Virginia, and people are sick and tired of the crap that the republicans bring with them. It's no coincidence that since Gilmore left office, Virginia has elected two democrat governors in a row. Then they gave George Allen the boot for Webb, and the first thing Webb did was get in George Bush's face about Iraq. The thing is, Obama needs a strong military guy. He doesn't have any military experience of his own, just like Bush. Bush had Cheney, who also had no real experience, and look at the mess they've made. This is an opportunity for the democrats to shut the republicans up about being stronger on defense than they are, and I also think that Webb would be a great choice to run for President when Obama's time as president is over. If Obama picks Richards, it's going to be a huge mistake. He'll be a good cabinet member, but I can't see him exciting many Hillary supporters that are still mad enough to vote for the mummy McCain. Personally, I don't know enough about Rendell to form an opinion about him, but I know that I think Biden would be a big fat flop. I guess that in the end, it's almost certain that Obama will beat McCain, but the right running mate could be the difference between a squeeker and a conclusive victory.
  2. There's only one choice for his VP pick. Hopefully, he's smart enough to know what he has to do and who he has to run with. I can't imagine that Obama could find a better running mate than Senator Jim Webb. There's nothing the republicans can say about Senator Webb's patriotism, his honorable military service or his executive experience. This man is a real American hero, and if there are any doubters out there, check this out..... Webb received the Navy Cross for actions on July 10, 1969. The citation read: I'm dying for one of the republican scumbag talk show hosts or politicians try to doubt his patriotism or his love for this nation. Is John McCain a hero too? Hell yes, and I'd flame anyone who calls his patriotism, love for this nation or military service into question. The difference is, Webb has served as Secretary of the Navy under President Regan, and he has a realistic view of the war in Iraq. So while I know that the Senator from Illinois doesn't read my blog, he ought to make an exception today and do what I say. He'll be unbeatable in November if he does.

What I meant to say was, some of us do have several chapters built up but like to release them one or two at a time because of the potential for cliffhangers

  10. lol...my grandpa smells like garlic all the time because he eats it with every meal. It's not so much a BO odor so much as it is a oniony/garlicky scent that he leaves behind in every room. He had a heart attack a couple years ago and ever since then, he's been on this "Garlic heals everything" kick. He even makes a protien shake for a snack in the blender and adds garlic to it
  11. Paul Mitchell Tea Tree wax has a funny smell I don't like. I got it last year and I felt like a sprig of oregano or something. I like the original Paul Mitchell hair wax...it smells better and it's cheaper than the tea tree crap.
  12. I shower in the morning after my workout, then again either after school or after work, depending onif I have to work that day or not. Then I always shower before bed. If I don't, I can't get comfortable. I always put AP/deoderant on and I give myself a little shot of Armani Black before I go anywhere. Also, I only use a certain kind of wax in my hair because the smell works well with my cologne. I never wear the same thing twice without it being washed...hell, sometimes I never wear the same thing twice even when it has been washed.
  13. Disclaimer: I'm writing this blog entry with about an hour's worth of sleep. One of my friends lost his dad last night, and along with the rest of our crew, I've been at his house off and on all night and morning. Please forgive me if I don't make any sense. So Barrack Obama's the Democratic nominee for the year 2008. Hillary is out(though not technically), and everyone's wondering what's next. More specifically, everyone wants to know if Obama will pick wild Hillary to be his VP. Well guess what....it's way too early for that kind of talk. Obama and Clinton are in talks right now about setting up a meeting between the two, and everyone's buzzing about what'll be said. Well, wonder no more, people. I already have this figured out. Hillary's campaign is $30 million dollars in the hole. If she ends it now, she won't be able to hold any fundraisers to try to pay it all off. Especially the debt that the campaign owes Hillary and Bill. Of course, that opens up a whole new set of questions.... If she goes on, who would donate money to her campaign? If she quits, how will she pay off her campaign debt when she can't raise money? If she doesn't just go away quietly, and pressures Obama to make her the VP, who will it hurt more? Her or Obama? If Obama does make her his VP, does it help or hurt his campaign and his presidency (assuming he wins)? The answer to these questions are so simple. The fact is, Barrack Obama bin Laden has a ton of campaign cash left over, and now that he's got the nomination locked up, he's going to get 300 wheelbarrels full of even more cash. We know he wants Hillary to go away, and he definitely doesn't want her to be his VP. So what does he do? Simple, his campaign pays off her debt, she gives him her blessing, works hard for him on the campaign trail and after November, she goes on with her life. It's way too early to talk about Obama's pick for VP, but everyone's doing it. I think he should look to the Old Dominion for his pick if he's really interested in the best candidate. Tim Kaine, Mark Warner or Jim Webb. All three of them would be excellent choices for the VP slot, and they would all give his ticket the conservative touch it needs to win over repukes that hate John McCain. But that's a topic for another entry, so I'm just gonna break it off right here and look for some pudding or some ice cream since my belly's growling.
  14. No problemo, Bob I have a lot of ideas about what can happen, and what should happen. I think the most important thing that's happening right now is the meeting that Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton are going to have. A lot of people think it's over the VP slot, but I think it's about something entirely different. It involves Hillary's endorsement, her supporters and most important of all (to her), how much campaign debt she has. I'm getting ready to pound it out before I finish my work on a chapter I'm working on. I had a long night and morning with a friend who lost his dad last night, but I'm home now and I can't even think about sleeping right now, so I'm gonna do something to get my mind off of what happened. Predicting the next couple of weeks just might do the trick

  17. lol...I don't know if this would count or not, but when my stepmom talks about soda, she calls it a diet. I know she means diet soda, but I think it's kinda weird how she leaves the name of the soda off (She drinks diet sprite). She'll be all, "Nick, can you grab me a diet from the fridge?" Maybe it's a southern thing or something.

  21. From the look of things, Hillary Clinton is at the end of the road, so to speak. We can only hope that in this case, the end of the road also means the end of her political career, as it seems she won't be the president of the United States. She doesn't need New York anymore, and while she may run for re-election, I can't see her being re-elected. Her ugly side was on full display for all to see this year, and boy was it ugly. My guess is that Obama and McCain are going to have a close election, but that Obama will pull it out. McCain is just too old to win the presidency. People in this country have to understand that a near centurion has old, out of date views that have no relevence in today's society. I'm not wishing the man harm or anything, but I wouldn't mind seeing his health take a bad turn right before the repuke convention so that they can put someone a little more tolerable than McCain up against Obama, someone like Ron Paul...ok, just kidding. I know he'd never have a chance to be nominated, much less win the Whitehouse, but the reason for that is sad, really. You've got a guy who respects the constitution and the rights of everyone in the nation, and because of that, he's cast as crazy. I guess what I'd like to know is how he's considered crazy while our current president took us to war against the wishes of the nation, and in spite of the warnings from people all around him who knew what was coming. Now we know that everything they said would happen was right, and McCain wants to continue on with this war. And somehow Ron Paul is crazy? Wow. What's amazing to me is how so many people are willing to vote for McCain. I imagine that most of them live in a singlewide trailer full of rent to own furniture, but that's another rant altogether. But it furthers my argument that not everyone should be allowed to vote. Ok, so that ends today's political rant. I've decided for personal reasons not to post in the political forums for the time being. If you'd like to debate anything I've said, or add to it, feel free to do so right here, because I won't be replying to posts in the political forums until further notice.
  22. So Barack Obama is having more pastor issues, or I guess in this case, it's priest issues. Either way, I don't think that this guy said anything bad at all, and I find his rant on Hillary especially hilarious. I don't think I can ever get enough of him acting out his version of what happened in Iowa when Hillary broke down and cried http://youtube.com/watch?v=EBvYICKJ3TI
  23. The only time I go back and re-read anything is if I need to reference something for consistency. And even then, it has to be something pretty specific, otherwise I already know what's happened for the most part, and I can move forward. If I had to re-read 15 or twenty chapters just to be able to write the next one I'd go nuts and eventually, I'd give up. But I think that one of the solutions to having to do that is to take on the tone of your character. In other words, give her/him a spot somewhere in your mind and when you sit down to write, I think it'll be easier to go with the flow of your story without having to re-read what you already have. Also, don't be afraid to pound out a whole chapter, then go back and read it for inconsistencies. And if you have beta readers, they'll let you know if something's off, too. I guess what I'm trying to say is that re-reading the whole story everytime you sit down to write a chapter sounds like a real ass kicker, and I could be wrong, but it shouldn't have to be that hard.
