It is a nice development, especially in reflection of one of my comments last chapter. Marty's family maybe his family now, but they weren't his only family. Liam can't deny the impact that has, no matter how great they are or how long they have been with him. And now to see Marty's reaction. You and your cliffies.
Ah, I didn't think about it from an abuse perspective, but inner thigh is one of the classic self-harm cutting locations. I saw that and just assumed. We'll find out soon enough what Bailey has going on...
Love it. And Bailey... the poor guy has really been through the ringer and now he's self-harming too. I can't imagine this going anywhere good in the near future. Maybe when Declan gets his head out of his ass some good can start to flow. Maybe. Bailey needs to get his own head out of his ass, too, and reach out for support. That's clearly not going to happen though, not the way things stand. Not with his mother being in psycho mode while she grieves.
Love this chapter so much. I am just so horrified at the fate of the fishing boat and Alexis' father... I mean, we didn't see him die, but... And the Kraken, it must have come to understand something at least. At last Alexis is regaining something of that which he lost. The ending, of course, brings us to Alexis' next great adventure. This was the perfect way to end my day. Thank you!
So much to like about this chapter, but especially so the warmth surrounding it that surpasses the darkness of Connor's past with this bastard Brian. I am sure we will unfortunately be hearing from him at some point before this story is up... I hope Hugh tears him to pieces. There is a lot of bad things that could happen to the community if someone like Brian were to find them harboring Connor, let alone if he discovered some of there secrets... or is a hunter himself, on the side. A corrupt cop seems like a fit for those lunatics. Nice little jab at the end, too.
I really like the struggle in this chapter. It's so real (even though I'm still pissed that Declan is fighting against doing what's right, at least for now...).
It was a bit of tongue in cheek, and a bit of sadness for the person he (and everyone) became and how things ended in Nanoverse. How we maybe think they ended. That's all. There is still things to be revealed, of course.
Passive aggressive protection, passive aggressive anything... that's bound to piss off people in general, especially St. John. But Bobby knew that being upfront about it would probably provoke an even worse reaction, and that says something.
Maybe she read something in Xavier's files on him that gave her the impression that his past, especially his past at the school itself, would put him in a position that he could have that empathy through shared experience with some of the students there. She's devious like that.
It's a really interesting dynamic, former best friends whose relationship imploded, now stuck in one another's space years later. I love the awkwardness and the denial on John's side. It's figuring Bobby out that is the big question on everyone's mind.
The refusal to try is something I find very distasteful, if one partner is versatile and the other is not. You have to make compromises and sacrifices for love, and giving up your best sexual experiences once in a while for your partner is no big deal as long as it's not traumatizing. Though, it's usually tops refusing to bottom as opposed to the other way around if what I here anecdotally is true at all. The 'pure' tops seem to have something psychological that they can't get past. Internalized homophobia and toxic masculinity, to be sure.
I think grammar issues are a pet peeve of everyone who takes writing seriously. And yet we trip up and make those mistakes too!
He might not believe it right now, but he has more people on side than he thinks. Emma definitely is backing him up.
It's definitely a steep learning curve without training. Hell, even with training. Every class is a different dynamic. He probably asked Piotr. It's wasn't important enough for him to talk about it here.
