    Awakening

One thing I've learned about @Summerabbacat is that he is always ready for an orgy! LOL!!! One thing to take away in that interrogation room is that there is the knowledge that someone is always watching. That Joe and Sal didn't check the observation room is on them. Also, since the recording equipment was installed, and all the detectives knew about it, they couldn't say their rights were violated. Heck, even phone calls are monitored and recorded! The only times things can't be recorded are when they are face-to-face with their attorneys.
  2. A lot of good thoughts have been written, here. So I have only one thing to say: You can take the boy out of the Marine Corps but you can't the Marine Corps out of the boy.

    Chapter 2

Knowing our esteemed author, it will get worse before it gets better.

    Choices

I'm another one who leans toward the Chief being the mole. Right now, it's because of his treatment of Det. Juan. I also think that it was Roger who sent the note to the Detective. It was kind of humorous that we all thought the story was almost complete with the winning of the trial. Then the world got turned upside down! Well, until I remembered this is Chicago. Once Rizzo mentioned Boy Flesh, all bets were off as far as Roger was concerned. Rizzo just made it personal. It didn't help that Rizzo thought he held a card against Roger to begin with.

    Battlelines

Considering what Detective Ramos has found in Uncle's house... He may just be the kind of prisoner that the guards will mistakenly put in with the general population... Not that I'm suggesting anything of the kind, mind you!
  6. That was the second post that this particular reader made in their attempt to inject politics into the thread. I'm with you @RJRBD100. I read these stories to escape from the real world, if only for a little while.

    Resolved?

Agreed. I think we can forgive @empath in the name of literary progress! Nowadays pedophiles are separated from the general population. Well, at least in many prisons...

    All In

I love the setup by Roger and the Reporter, Sam, lends to the story as a whole.
  9. That was a really nice courtroom scene. I loved how Roger changed the default admission of guilt to one of self-defense. Side Note: In any self-defense case, the accused must admit that the contested action was committed by himself. That was done here. Bravo! As far as Brenden Mack is concerned, all Roger has to do is show that he agreed to testify against Thomas and wouldn't be listed as an accomplice. That really muddies Brenden's credibility. The Uncle? I can't speculate other than Thomas being deathly afraid of him.

    Chapter 5

You think they are drag queens? OK @Geron Kees, now you done broke my mind! Intelligent talking squirrels using skwish? You are taking liberties with Darwin. You know that, right?

    Chapter 3

Then there is the original Miracle on 34th Street (1947). It's a Wonderful Life (Jimmy Stewart - 1946). And who can forget White Christmas (Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye - 1954). To me, those are the classics.

I've been 10 lbs overweight for the last 4 years. That's down from 45 lbs earlier!

Well, that's a crying Shame! I actually expected the thief to be the Master Thief! The only other thief would be Augie... He likes colorful wishes!

    Chapter 4

This is getting soooo good! I wish I wasn't so busy that I had to pass on this at the time! OK... They all have sidearms. Are they energy, projectile, or both? Idiots like me want to know!!! 😱
  20. Off the cuff, I was going to say, Travis' Mother. Then I got to thinking, do either of his brother or sister know how he changed his will? I wouldn't put it past his sister, despite the so-called newfound love she has for him. Either way, they both have enough residual cash to put out a contract on him.

    Chapter 10

Provocation, hell! It was on purpose since they know how Dad feels. The only reason to invite Uncle Bryan is so he can talk to Gray.
  22. Al Norris

    Chapter 7

There was the hint of children to come. With tomorrow's last episode, perhaps we will find out. It's a wonderful Christmas tale, regardless. Merry Christmas; Happy Chanuka; Season's Greetings to everyone! 🎄🎄

    Chapter 10

Grayson has a favorite Uncle and a friend who knows his "secret"... Although, it now seems most of his family knows his "secret!" It also looks like Gray's Dad doesn't like his wife's brother. His Dad is a homophobe (which we already knew). Let's hope Uncle Bryan can help Gray.

    Chapter 48 S2

I love Eggnog! My type 2 doesn't. sigh. I still have a glass (or two)! Merry Christmas, Bill.

    Chapter 48 S2

Another reason to swirl the wine in your glass (or crystal) is that excellent wines will leave a distinct film on the glass that persists, much like milk.
