Thank you KC. You helped to make this story live. I really do appreciate it. As for what is next, well working on finishing the next Anthology piece. Beyond that the readers are going to have to wait.
LOL. Well if I am going to write about the real world then I am going to use places I know. Depending on how well you know Patchogue, Reed's shop is just off the four corners, a few doors down from the jewelry store.
Thank you Hillj69. You never know what will be a hit or a miss. First and foremost I write the stories I would like to read. Hopefully I will find readers out there who enjoy them. Won't always be a hundred score with everyone but always appreciate hearing what people thought of it.
Yeah think? And how did you grow up on Long Island and miss a buckle. I got the recipe from a friend of my grandmother's and found similar ones up in Connecticut. Such a Northern Dessert, where you can pick the fresh blueberries. Think of it as a blueberry coffee cake.
In that case Andy I better get out there and save some young man's life. But bits and pieces of myself bleed into both the characters here. Look at this way, at least you get some good recipes.
In some respects poor Charlie is just an accident waiting for a place to happen. Unfortunately when it does anything can happen. Glad you are enjoying it so far.
Don't worry Andy, I have a lot of talking heads later on. But I do try to keep the story moving right along. Hopefully you will find each person has their own distinct character.
Nice play on words Andy. Well I enjoy putting my own spin on these. This is the fourth fairy tale I've redone. First was Snow White out of a prompt Lugh created. Then I took on Sleeping Beauty for another prompt. Then took on Rapunzel as well. I like twisting and turning what people think they know and turning it on its ear. Glad you liked it.
Thank you Daddydavek. I don't think you need to reinvent the wheel but sometimes you can give it a new twist. And as I promised Wolf was not in a nightgown. I am glad you enjoyed it.
Nock limped into the village shortly after dark. He had read and reread the direction on his note so many times that he knew exactly where to go. There were candles in the window and he could see that a fire was burning in the fire place when he arrived. The door wasn’t locked and he wandered in.
“Hello? Anyone home?”
Silence greeted him and then he spotted the note on the table.
Nock,
Grandma isn’t feeling well and went to bed. I had some work to do and might
Yup. Only moving forward from here on out, KC. Still a few surprises to toss out and things to settle before the end. Hopefully everyone will enjoy it.
Glad you are enjoying it George. I am just trying to tie up the loose ends and leave everyone content when I end this. Still have a surprise or two up my sleeve. Thanks for commenting and still being with me.
The big three have humanity in breeding camps is the best way to put it. It allows them to ensure that humanity doesn't wipe itself off the face of the earth. They are all dependent on humanity to keep their own races going so it is in their best interest to make sure they stay around. Besides, every parent knows what happens if they have a child and decide not to follow the rules. It is a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't.
You are right on the mark Andy. Lone did mark him at the end. Once he has been claimed no one else from any race can touch him. So onwards and forwards.
