Sorry, every trip to DC I've had people who know the area take me around. DC works for me but I know we do have some further North, like Intune in CT and Cailen in MA, and even up to Maine. If we have two that would work as well. Besides I know we also have a few GAers from up near the Canadian border so will just have to wait to see about the weigh in from them. But I can't see why DC wouldn't work.

Well depending on how many interested parties we get the east coast is fairly large, maybe a north and south thing? I'm from the Island, I drive. Been to DC many times but been told my country white boy self should stay out of Philly. lol. But well lets see what if anything we can get going. Heck if we do a north and south at different parts of the seasons I might be able to make both. (Oh travel plans and a reason for time off. Did I just let everyone know that. )

LOL. Well I would think the Bahamas are out. I was discussing east coast of the US. Doubt many of us can simply afford to drop it all and run to another country. I'm all for a summer get together though. After all the snow from last year, and what they are expecting this year, it would be something to look forward to. So far a suggestion for DC. Okay seen that the European group is getting together (Again the lucky gang) and that the West Coast is planning a meet. Well what about the East Coast of the US? There are a group of us here too. Alright tis the season and all that. I know I am not the only one dealing with the holidays and problems too. This week I lost a friend in a senseless accident. Sort of makes you stop and look at things. Then while I am in that raw sort of state another friend is dealing with an impending death and I know it is making his life hard. The day after the accident I get a message from someone I had become close to. Alright, someone I had fallen for if I am going to be honest with myself, and he is calling it off. Seems I can't catch a break. So to the upset add heart break. Then I get to hear all my faults from my father. The mistakes I've made, including who I've dated. It is just what I needed when I am feeling down on myself. So not exactly feeling perfect or cheery at the moment. Oh yeah, and I had to wait to be paid so I can mail out the various Christmas gifts I had bought in November so they would be done before Christmas was here. Seems I screwed that up too and had it pointed out to me. Just one of those times you feel like crawling into bed, pulling the covers over your head, and staying there till oh I don't know, Spring? But some how I just manage to keep going. Don't know how, and don't know why, but I do. So if you have a little good news, feel free to share it with me. I sure as hell could use some right about now.

Day 14 - Okay this is more of a Winter Song than a holiday song. I am posting two versions again. (Sorry Andy. lol. Just one of those where I like more than one version.) While there are many pairings for this song, I really enjoy the playful way KT Oslin and Barry Manilow do this. And well, I like Glee and face it, the guys do a nice job with it too.

I like Glee's version of River. It isn't bad at all. However still a bit stuck on Joni Mitchell's. My mom use to play it often at this time of the year.

Alright trying hard to finish Charlie up so his last chapter will be up before the weekend. My big question, and it was asked of me, but I'm passing the buck. I've been writing all about Charlie, Barbara, Scott, Joe, Rick Jr, and Ben. Someone asked if they were based on real people. I will state the honest answer yes and no. I know, you are thinking that was as clear as mud. Let me explain. Charlie - Charlie is a part of me. He is the hope, the curiosity, the desire, and alright he has my rotten luck on most things but at least his mistakes turn out well. Scott - Well, meet the older me. The experience of my life, the history, the ability to see where you have been and try to help and reassure others. Barbara - For the most part she is equal parts of my mother, my best friend, and one woman named Lee all rolled into one body. The earth mother and positive force in Charlie's life. Joe - Some of the men I know who are really loving and caring for their children. You think sometimes that they only found in stories, but you find them in real life too and they are blended into Joe. Rick Jr. - He is part of couple I know very well. He is all male, macho, but the total wimp when he is within two feet of his lover. In other words he is a whipped puppy when it comes to his "Ben". Ben - he is sort of a conglomerate of a ideas and people but no one in particular. Usually I am asked all sorts of questions. Now I am asking you, the readers one. Who do you see as these people? Would you create a drawing of them? If you see them as real people who might you cast to play them? I'm curious. So stop and think, after all this whole story takes place from September to December. Just four months from start to finish. Who do you see playing them or how do you see these characters. Please feel free to answer. Also if anyone has a suggestion on a design for the story especially now that it is nearly over, and some will only read it as a completed piece, what should greet them when they begin Accidents Happen?

Elisabeth, My poetry is usually a bit on the dark side and deals with things that aren't always pleasant. This is just really about the power of words and the scars they leave. I know what it is like to have to face it and scars you can carry if you survive, but that is the main thing, surviving.
