  1. Fate worse than death (Robert's idea actually) he read the original ending and said "OMG you suck!" He really helped me hammer out the details then I ran them all through Rustle for his approval so this really was a group effort. Even the readers played a big part with their encouragment! Thank you for reading!! :D KC

    Chapter 20

I'm so glad to hear what you thought about the ending, Jammi It was intense. I was really worried that i would leave some kind of loose-ends and disappoint readers. If you get a chance, i really want to know what you think about the epilogue. Thanks again for all of your encouragment

    Chapter 20

Thanks Charlie, I think death would have been too easy for Amanda, I want her to suffer for a long looooong time! KC
  9. I like that Amanda is still suffering 10 years later and hope she continues for the rest of her life. She deserves it! I plan on writing more with Gibby, if it do it will be far down the road. I have too many other projects already lined up. (hope you come back to my new story...hint, hint) I'll start posting my next story this fall. It's sad to see this one end but it was time and I hope everyone walks away satisified with the ending.
  10. It sad to see this one end. This story meant a lot to me and I'm thrilled that it has gotten the response that the readers have given it. I am working on a new project for this fall. It takes me so long to write, edit, polish and get each chapter ready that I don't think I could post more than once a week, I think you understand I want to make sure that I'm posting my best quality work. Thanks for reading and enjoying this adventure with me and Gibby!

    Chapter 20

The sounds filling the school slowly disappeared. Happy laughter, slamming lockers, squeaky tennis shoes quickly turned into a deafening silence as the last students hurried out of the building, heading home for the day, just like Gibby should have been doing. Home! Jonathan wouldn’t notice that Gibby never made it home from school for at least a few more hours. After the ducktape was ripped off and readjusted over his mouth, Gibby felt his hands being lifted off his chest as his wrists were
  14. Epilogue – (10 Years Later) The woman, sitting in the plush leather chair, patiently waited. Her long blond hair was pulled into a sleek ponytail. Pale shimmery eye shadow and the slightest hint of pink lip gloss was a smart choice. She looked posh and confident, waiting for the man on the other side of the wide wooden desk to finish reviewing her qualifications. “Well, Mrs. Mitchell,” The man said looking up from the papers. “I’m sorry, Sir, but it’s Ms. Mitchell,” Shelby politely correct

    Doctors

I've been going to a Husband/Wife doctors for the last several years. I met them at work, they are young (close to my age) and connected with me and I really like both of them. If I just have a cold or something run-of-the-mill then it doesn't matter who I see but if it's something too personal or invasive then I usually make an appointment with the guy Andy, we take JJ to a large pediatric group that has both male and female doctors. For the longest time it didn;t matter to her or us who saw her but about 4 years ago when she had a UTI she threw a fit about talking to a male doctor. She had heard us talking about a urine sample and got very upset, we requested a female doctor and the staff was great about it. Since that was what made her more comfortable we just ask for one of girls now when we make an appointment. It's nice that we started out with a large practice so there is plenty of doctors to chose from On a side note: I have had patients ask for a female nurse many times, It has never offended me. The comfort of the patient always comes first!
  16. Happy Birthday!!!
  17. I know that I have become a better writer because of my beta/editor. There is so much that I've learned. Even the comments have changed over the last year+ that we have worked together as we mesh better on each new project. I want people to be honest with me. I know that not every piece of work is going to be a brilliantly breathtaking piece of golden literature...there are going to be a few turds mixed in there but that is what a good beta/editor can do is help you even when the story is crap...they can help you realize it. I've had stories that the plot disappears or it rambles or the characters fall flat and here is where a good beta will help you decide if you continue with major changes or scrap it and start new.
