Happy B'day Com! Glad to see you posted ACBH the other day...now it's finally getting really interesting!!! Hope you're feeling better...and enjoy your vacation.

Tough situation to be in... On the one hand, you want you and your boyfriend to be monogamous to each other, but on the other hand, you find your friend attractive enough to be okay with your boyfriend telling you that he was excited by your friend, and also knew full well that something like this might happen in the future. Being married gives me an interesting spin here, perhaps it will work for you--although Rob and I play around together when we meet someone to bring home, we seldom arrange something without the other knowing, and we usually both play, or are at least okay with the "guest". However, if we go out somewhere, such as one of the baths...we'll wander around on our own, within hollering distance for him (quite a distance, actually--good lungs), but still independent of each other enough to fool around...and this is with each other's full consent and mutual understanding. Your boyfriend, obviously, felt that you had given him permission to "fool around" with your friend by being so unfazed by his comments about your friend's "being cute" and such...that when you awoke, they did the polite thing and removed their presence so as to not create any discomfort for you, regardless of whether you had any about "fooling around", because they didn't know how you might feel... Regardless, you're shaken by this string of occurences. Have you talked to your boyfriend about it? If you do, since things were somewhat ambiguous, don't be accusatory, but--if this is what you want or prefer--ask him to be monogamous with you in the future if you are not able, or willing, or just don't want, to do a 3-way. If he can't or won't do that, then use protection, or invite him to leave if he won't. Don't blame yourself, though, your boyfriend obviously has either no self-control or no willpower at this point in his life (I went through that stage, too)...although my willpower never left me, it was going the other direction--"Get more, and have more fun!" Whatever happens, may it be for the best--you are young, still, smart enough and goodlooking enough that guys should be falling all over each other in their haste to get to you.

Reminds me of when I worked at Jack-in-the-Box as an assistant manager...one of our shift leaders (a female) was pregnant, and had developed "the glow". I noticed and congratulated her before she could tell anyone she was pregnant. You should have seen the shock on her face! Once she recovered, she asked me how I knew; I then had to relate my stepmother's pregnancy with my half-sister and the ability to recognize "the glow".

Actually, Sharon, my husband, Rob , came up with that one!

Unfortunately, my first, middle and last names could be scrambled in 7 combinations, any of which will work as they could all be consdered as first, middle or last names...so none of them are suitable for nicknames... Why dad picked "Kelly" I'll never know...but if you research the name, it has very strong connotations.

The reason I hate most cleaning is that it throws dust particles into the air of our home--my eyes are blue and run dry--dust and dry eyes do not a good combination make.

And whatever is going to happen to the "Tiger Loves Werewolf" thread? and what's happened with it anyway?

Fortunately my husband takes good care of me, and he's also planning on losing the same amount--not easy in a wheelchair--so we will BOTH be buying new wardrobes...hopefully dressy casual...and some jeans....I'm a jeans and t-shirt kinda guy, not a "fashion slave", nor a droopy drawer wearer......... The thing about the Omega-3 fatty acids is that they don't ADD cholesterol...and other things have been proven to actually reduce cholesterol over time, like Cheerios cereal (oat rings), oatmeal (hot cereal of oats, you call it porridge--I think) primarily any oat based cereal or cereal products...not necessarily all high-fiber cereals...something about oats, I guess...too bad my Rob doesn't like oatmeal... ...even a glass of wine...or Dark Chocolate...something about how the antioxidants work on the body. The main things anyone choosing to lose weight should do to stay sane, really, is 1) Do NOT do a starvation diet, because you are starving yourself--literally to death--and malnourishing yourself. 2) Drink enough liquids, switch to zero calorie sodas or flavored waters (fortunately, we have a plethora of these here, and not all flavored with saccharin--thank the powers that be<blech!>). 3) Reduce portion sizes of starches, carbs and protiens--if the food on your plate is stacked on top of its neighbor, you're eating too much. 4) Eat all the vegetables you want during meals, they make good snacks too. 5) Keep some dairy products in your daily intake, i.e.: Non-fat Yogurt, margarine (some are a good source of those O-3 oils), Lowfat (2%) milk. 6) Eat 3 or more servings of fruit. 7) Get 3 servings of "Good" oils (Omega-3 fatty acids, from some fish dishes, foods made with Olive Oil). 8) Switch away from red meat and fried foods. 9) Ask friends for support--then when you go out, they can make a more appropriate choice of restaurant without having to embarrass you first in the process. 10) Believe in yourself!
-
Also, when you feel you are hungry, try to determine whether it is actual hunger or just thirst--drink some water (not just a couple sips, an 8 ounce glass)--then wait 15 minutes...if you're still hungry, go eat, otherwise, your body was telling you it was thirsty!

Try going to Weight Watchers...I'm down almost 12 pounds in 6 weeks...and trying to lose about the same amount (60 pounds). One of the biggest problems faced by people who are trying to lose weight is, and I know this sounds odd, they are not eating enough to run their metabolism up to speed, so it stays in "starvation mode" and you keep extracting more from your food than you need, and all that excess gets stored as, right--more fat. Actually, Avocado is viewed as a very fattening fruit and should be limited as part of a healthy diet...if you're going to use a butter-type spread on bread, use the low calorie bread, and only 1 slice (or equivalent) of spread for 2 slices. If you use Peanut butter, use 1 tablespoon for each slice (more protein in p'butter), or subsitute apple sauce for butter or margarine on bread or in mixes. Another short-cut: buy the "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" Spray, or similar product, for bread, it gets you all the flavor and none of the spreading hassle of cold spread on hot toast, and the spray serving size allows for great flavoring of toast and bread. My biggest change was going to Coke Zero instead of staying on regular sugary sodas--I abhor regular Diet Sodas (they still use saccharin for sweetening, and I want to heave when I taste it). WW advice is to drink the equivalent of 64 ounces of LIQUIDS per day (not just water anymore--iced tea, hot tea, any liquid will work, now). The next big change was portion sizing. But it's working--11.8 pounds in 7 weeks, last week was 1 pound even, so 10.8 in 6, then 1 in 1. Good luck!

Yay! I bought our tickets to the IMAX version just a couple days ago, for Friday the 9th...at 4:05PM, PDT, so we'll be having dinner at El Torito afterward...I hope. (it's a good E.T.) And Rob does want to go see the Wolverine movie...so I can sit through that without a problem...

Just noticed your birthday's today! Happy birthday! It got me to wondering when I last read one of your stories when it dawned on me that I honestly can't remember how long ago it was, only that it left me awed and a bit shaken. I'm going to read One Moment when more is posted, I tend to read in large chunks, so I'm waiting for the posting announcements.

And here we thought you were finally coming out as an honest size queen...
-
>I can't win. So why am I even bothering. Right now, life is giving you lemons...so make lemonade. Just do the best you can....things will and do get better--trust me. Someday not only will you be done "making lemonade", but you'll be selling the lemons to others and making a pretty penny for yourself. This is just another trip up another of life's mountains...it is not, however, insurmountable.

Isn't a 23.5% APR usurious in all states? Did you put money down so that your bank would have financed the car, or was it 100% financed? If he's not working, and it's not usurious, go buy bicycles and turn the car back in.
-
That is also an assumption...(your first paragraph, second sentence). If a straight guy was telling these jokes to a crowd of mixed company hoping to thin out the crowd, he'd probably be surprised as hell if we laughed at his joke! That is how you do what is called "disarming" someone. It kind of takes the wind out of their sails, and the bravado out of their machismo, when they try to offend and get laughed at instead. It works much better than getting all twisted out of shape...and it also deflects what they were trying to do back onto them, giving them a bit of a taste of their own medicine.

Anna: Where did you find these guys? A band where ALL the guys are cute?!?!? That's so rare today--there's usually one that's a throwaway... Can I take them home?
-
Cute should be a given, but dumb, rich and hung are nice material qualities, too!
-
Well, Mark, I have to say that you've done it again....I figured that I wouldn't enjoy the change in genre....however, I haven't missed a chapter yet!
-
That is a nice, sensual thing to do (the hair with fingers), especially when the hair is wet in the shower or dry but just washed so that it's nice and clean, tangle-free and smooth...
-
Mark, the problem is that if he's got the desire driving him, they've got the endurance to last through it...
-
W. L. - Those translations are hilarious, I told them each to Rob (my husband) and we were both laughing so hard we were crying...and he almost pee'd his pants!
-
The singing may be good, but Hyacinth Bucket comes to mind for some reason....
