Coming from a large city, it's hard for me to know awful small town life can be. I have to fight the tendency to idealize small communities and know them to be hotbeds of Rural American Repression. I'm left-handed so I would've been tossed out of Hillcrest long ago. Imagine Sam having to hide the fact that he paints with his left hand! This small town is awful.

Nice chapter, full of resolution, -and no angry or violent drama. I'm glad that Curtis is finally coming to terms with who and what he is. I still find him to be an irritating and annoying personality. He's such a social dud. What possessed him to bring Mike around Casey? The only thing he did right was to finally admit the truth about himself to Rodney; so there's at least one step forward. He's still a selfish,thoughtless prick. I am relieved that Casey and Shade's first intercourse went well, and it was a very well written scene without too much information. Those two are only getting better. I've really enjoyed this story.

So, Curtis and Joshua? Seriously? OK, Curtis has been trying not to be such an ass lately but Joshua isn't even there yet. Maybe they'd be right for one another. Fiction can be strange, can't it? We all know that life can be even stranger at times. Lane is always a bundle of sunshine. I hope he steals the show.

I'm happy to see these characters again. I like the way they are developing. You've dangled a couple of hooks out there too so I hope we'll see more of these guys and now find out about this Cody and what his story is. ...And... Cheshire must have his just revenge for such insulting and shameless mistreatment. Humans must know their place after all. They'd better leave him at least one of those empty boxes too. -
Part of me really wants to feel sympathy for Curtis, because as an adolescent and it's only natural for him to be insecure about himself. Then I realize that he's been in some sort of down low fictitious bullshit life for years now and still can't come to terms with reality. I just don't have patience to put up with his spoiled little acts any more. He makes himself look like a fake hypocritical narcissist, and I'm tired of those right now. He needs to save himself from his own poison before it's too late and it destroys him. Can he be saved?

Things were going too smoothly, so now enter the scheming, evil blonde! Maybe Casey can direct him over to Curtis. They'd be quite a pair.

I had to look up sclera. That is so cool, -having eyes like a cat or a tiger. It reminds me of that Michael Jackson video for Thriller. Those Monroe boys have tiger eyes, and who knows what else when they wake up; retractable claws? I had a boyfriend once from Monroe and he was weird, but not this weird. -

It's already over? At least Bilinu and Saghir are happy. It amuses me to see how Saghir has been so vocal about not wanting to raise Juna when it's obvious they're both crazy about each other. This has been a charming story, and I hope to see more by you soon. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us.

I'm glad that the giants are such singularly sincere people. They have a natural sense of logic and fairness that mankind doesn't have. Both of them are quite lucky guys. Now let's see if Saghir can let Luna into their lives. I have the impression that she's going to be the deal breaker or the happy answer.

After fighting with my computer for half the day to no avail, it has at last given me some joy with this story. I like all three of your characters and was delighted to read something with such charm, hope, and optimism. You can leave it as is: short & sweet, but if you'd choose to write more about Ethan, Chris, and Cheshire, -I'd certainly read more...and maybe get into Cheshire's head a bit too.

I can't believe this crazed psychotic Andy is gone for good. He's mentally ill, -some species of malignant narcissist or something and those people don't just walk away from their victims. They want revenge or blood, or both. Where's Sarah? Somebody needs to take this to the police and fast, before he tortures and kills somebody. This chapter has set me on edge for sure.

Something weird just happened to my computer and it put my chapter 2 review onto the chapter 1 review page. I didn't write a review of chapter 1. That is so odd. Must be the power of fiction, -or science fiction. Particularly your science fiction?

What a messed up family Eli has. There's real love and compassion, -and that's a good thing, but they are a mess! I've never had a close friend who claimed to have a perfect family. I've met people that say that their families were flawless, but they were never actually friends of mine. I think they were just either lying or were blocking out reality to themselves and everybody else. Benjamin and Eli have mutually antagonistic feelings for each other, -a sort of default built into their relationship. How deep does it really go? Could Benjamin be depended on if Eli needs help? He may need that. They are brothers after all...

This is a lovely chapter. If they were all like this one I probably wouldn't be reading this story. It's just nice to see Casey have a nice day for once. It's almost like life, and how there'll be a long spell of disappointing days and then every so often there's a real diamond of a day that blows all the funk away for a while.

I like Shade more every time he comes into the story. I wonder if he'll end up becoming more than just a friend, but that'd be almost too easy, and somehow that doesn't fit the tone of this story. Lane, of course, is priceless.

I'm worried. Andy is such a malicious, crazed narcissist that I think he'll try and hurt Rayn again, -or hurt Daniel to get to Rayn. He's capable of anything to get revenge.

This was an emotional chapter, and made me feel the pain Saghir felt while Pireno slowly but at last comes to realize that the giant brutes seem more human than the people in this village do, -including himself. Well done! I will say that I'm a sucker for a happy ending, or at least some sort of resolution. Just saying...

Dr. Hague, -armchair detective and enigma, carries red cards that say 'Please, I Need Help'. This is all very mysterious and it's no wonder that Eli is shaken. Knowing that the police are less than friendly makes me glad he kept the phone a secret.

This and one more chapter, -more than I expected, and something good too! That doesn't happen often. I'm enjoying Pireno's tale.

No answers, just more mysteries. Only now Eli knows someone caused his friend to kill himself and he's angry. Good boy!
