    Chapter 10

Oh, I've always been intrigued by larger vehicles. I think they must be fun to drive (challenging too, but I'd say that's part of the fun). I also like to learn about the organization of the system. Like, the routes, the companies, the schedules, that kind of stuff. When I was a kid I really wanted to be a bus driver, and I had several notebooks filled with drawings of buses (in which I'd do my best to get the geometry as well as the paint job correctly). Nowadays I spend a good chunk of my free time playing OMSI, a bus simulator. Not racing or anything, just doing simulated city bus routes, picking up and dropping off passengers and stuff. When I tell people about OMSI, they usually think it's pretty boring, and I can certainly see that, but I find it pretty relaxing.

    Chapter 6

So, when having sex on a field they are teenagers, but when talking about it later, they are more clear-headed and mature than most people I've ever met, of any age? Seems a bit too convenient. For example, I'm having a bit of a hard time buying how Jeff just brushed it off with hardly a second thought. I'm not saying it's impossible for him to get to that conclusion, but I think it should have taken some time at least—with a bit of drama in the meantime.

    Chapter 5

Yeah, I'm not loving this new direction. In part because either they'll become a threesome or Annabelle will end up hurt, since she clearly likes Brian. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with what they did—though more on that later—but it's just not the kind of thing I go out of my way to read. Which is not to say that I'm about to jump ship or anything, just that it's not my favorite aspect of this story. What did make me uncomfortable about that is the potential for things going terribly wrong. I mean, as far as I know Brian and Jeff didn't talk about such a scenario before it happened. So, say Jeff wasn't OK with it after all… What could he have done? Shoved Annabelle off of Brian's dick? I mean, Jeff's compliance was clear, but only after things started with Annabelle, so how did Brian know it was OK to even start? Hopefully this will be addressed further on. It is believable, though, with them being high, drunk teenagers acting in the moment, and it was very well written. Teenagers are also known to be pretty jealous, though—at least the ones I know—, so let's see how this plays out once what they did sinks in.

    Chapter 10

Ha. Google has been a companion throughout my read of this story too. I'm not a car guy (I'm actually into buses; not vans, more like 12-meter-plus city buses), but I have some interest in cars. I never actually had a car, or a driver's license for that matter, despite being 29 years old (nothing against it; living in a city like São Paulo and working from home, I just never had the need), but I like reading about them, learning how they work, and stuff like that. So, this was an interesting read. I liked the characters, and I'm looking forward to reading the sequel (which I'll do right now). Again, thanks for the work.

    Chapter 8

I often find myself skipping over sex scenes. I mean, I don't come here for sexual gratification—been there, done that, and in times of need there's always Nifty and XTube. Still, the one in this chapter was just so beautiful, and so well-written, that I found myself hanging on to every word. The feelings that went along with the act—or the beginnings of them, at this point—came across so clearly! And that's not to say that it wasn't hot, believe me. Brought me some memories of my own teens. Anyway, kudos and thanks for the work.

    Chapter 18

I loved this one! Can't wait to see Bailey's reaction towards Declan, as well as the two little assholes getting what's coming to them!

    Chapter 23

There are things that people consider unforgivable that I would forgive only one time. Liam forgave many times, though, and if I were in his place I think it's highly unlikely that I would have done the same. There are differences to, say, physical abuse, because Alek did in fact come out. This time he didn't just promise he would, he actually did it, and Liam can see it in a tangible way.

    Prologue

I'm crying on the prologue. That's a good start.

    Chapter 4

I guess I get the title now. I think it's too early to write Alek off. I'll wait to see what he does. Maybe the shock of learning that Liam was in an accident was enough to show him what's important in life. I can understand his hovering, I mean, the guy he supposedly loves was just in a car accident. Hopefully he can fade out from now on. I know, I seem to be contradicting myself, but if Alek is going to change, he needs to do that first. Then he can try to reconnect with Liam. He got enough chances to do it while they were together and it didn't happen, so the only way I see for him to convince Liam that he can change is by having done it. Jason changed, didn't he? Then again, that took a while to happen.

    Acceptance

Yeah. I wouldn't go so far as to say “unforgivable”, but it does seem like Lakota got off a bit easy. Sure, he's a hormonal teenager, but Lyric and Oliver are a few years away from being able to take that into consideration.

    Chapter 17

Great chapter! I wonder if something is going to happen to stop the video from reaching the dean.

    Mated

You delivered it again, Parker. Thank you for this treat. I don't know if I'm satisfied that Scott paid enough for his crimes, but I'm a sucker for a happy ending so I won't complain.
  13. Davi Medrade

    Waves

He's acting like a teenager with a crush! Trying to impress his would-be beau.
  14. Davi Medrade

    Flight

That was unexpected. I like that. I do wonder what he'll do if the former supplier is really after him. Jump out of a window and run away? I mean, it's not as if he has a lot of resources right now.

    Housebroken

He went though an ordeal, sure. And he feels guilty. Now, does he feel guilty enough to, say, turn himself in to the police and admit to what he's done? I mean, what about all the people he has broken? Will they get justice? I guess I'll have to keep reading to find out.
  16. Davi Medrade

    Shelter

This! I'm sorry, it's just been in my mind a lot lately. Recently here in Brazil a guy caught a 17-year-old trying to steal a bike, so he and a friend kidnapped him and tattooed “I'm a thief and a loser” on his forehead. I read comments about that and it makes me sick, with the amount of people praising the guy for “delivering justice”. The police have arrested both the guy and his friend and charged them with torture, and a lot of people aren't happy about that. And, imagine that, the friend has a previous conviction for robbery.

    Shelter

What I don't get about that is that we know what happened to the predator, but does Marc? How does he know he's not putting himself and Lee in danger? About letting him in, either Marc is a saint or he realized he wouldn't be able to turn him out without explaining to Lee why he did it. I also don't get why Lee is so ready to argue with Marc about it. I mean, he doesn't know the guy, and Marc clearly does. So why would he think he knows enough not to go with Marc's response?
  18. Davi Medrade

    Broken

I would think that, after that video, all he can hope for is an average, quiet life. Career-wise, I would think that video would come back to haunt him whenever he got too successful. Once something is on the Internet, it never goes away.
  19. Davi Medrade

    Escape

I think two general outcomes could happen from an experience like this. Either the person will be in fact broken, and stop what they were doing, for reasons like conscience or even simple fear (as in, they would keep doing it, if not for the fear of something like this hapṕening again); or they would double down, since stopping would require accepting just how badly they screwed up and that they do in fact have a conscience.

    Caged

I'm wondering if the reactions would be different if we had watched the predator's acts in the past in the same way we are watching Ted's acts now. I mean, so far we have been told in very general lines what he did, but we don't know the details, like how vicious and violent he was, or how many people he broke that way. We didn't get to watch those scene by scene. I'm not saying I'm for raping a rapist, far from it, but how much I care if it happens is not always easy to predict. Considering how I feel about Ted, I think if I had been presented with an accurate and detailed portrayal of the predator doing something like what Ted is doing now, it's likely that I would write him off. If the one being redeemed in this story were Ted, I probably would end up not reading it through to the end. Not that rapists are beyond redemption, but after reading what Ted did, I probably wouldn't care for the details even if it happened. I'm rambling, I know, but I am a bit concerned. While the predator's acts are abstract, the concreteness of what's happening now makes a difference. I mean, for all I know Ted has some justification for what he's doing, while no hint of that has been given about the predator. Like, maybe he did that to someone Ted cares about, so if that gets too clear I don't know if I'll have the stomach to root for him, if that's the direction the story takes. I know the story is already complete, so others will know how close (or how far) I am to what actually happens.

    On the Prowl

Too early to say anything of substance, but… My interest is certainly piqued.

    Chapter 15

Great chapter! I like to see Bailey opening up little by little. I wonder how Declan will react when he finds out about it. I remember the gay storyline in Skam, a Norwegian TV show I was watching a week or so ago. A mental health issue played a big part, and it made for some interesting—and educational—drama.

    Chapter 14

I hope—though I don't totally expect—that Chris won't do something stupid when Bailey surprises them again.
  24. That was great! Though I do wonder how far this story will go. I mean, Bailey has a lot of things to work through, so I wonder how much of that will be covered. Declan too. He turned around relatively fast, so I wonder if he won't end up falling back to previous behaviors every once in a while, due to habit, peer pressure, or fear (say, when his teammates find out he's hanging out with Bailey). I just hope Chris gets what he deserves (his accomplice too, of course). I'm curious about what the coaches have planned.

    errorlog.txt

This comment box doesn't seem to have a way to hide part of the content behind a “SPOILER” marker, so I'm sorry in advance (if anyone reads this before reading the chapter). I read this yesterday (before the second chapter was released) by mistake, so to speak. It's just that I don't have enough patience to wait for the release of new chapters (I guess I could blame my ADHD?). I wait until stories are tagged as complete so I can read the whole thing in one sitting. This one was tagged as complete (though it's not now), or it was a bug in the search, but once I saw the format I couldn't not read it. I have been a programmer for 15 years, so… At first it did puzzle me. As in, I was somewhat curious to know where it was going (not enough to actually follow it; I'd probably just waited until it was complete and read it then). Then I picked up the odd capitalization at the beginning (and I didn't even realize the last file was a hint towards that until I read the author's comment just now). Now I'll just have to read new chapters as they are released—assuming that there are more than just the two that have been released so far—, since now I'm too curious to wait for the story to be completed before reading. I'm excited to see how this will turn out. One aspect I liked is how all the error messages—and the fact that we're reading the transcript—kind of belie the hopeful “nothing's happened yet” at the end of the message transcript.
