Yeah... WOW... I get 'adolescent angst,' but Nick has somehow mastered the art self self-delusion. It's amazing how he continually ignores reality signals and goes with his self-destructive thought process. He even fucked up the last scene with Jack! I SO WANTED him to just crawl in bed with Jack, wrap his arms around him and KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT!

Ryder went from suspended in the air with Cassandra clawing into his skin to laying on the ground unconscious after the witch fell to the ground. Danny somehow got Ryder's blood on him which he wiped onto the ground (I'm guessing that somehow broke the curse). So... great chapter but difficult to follow.

Wait... Did Hearst know that Nolan was Jamie's brother? I tried reading back to figure out but couldn't find anything.
-
An old saying I once heard: 'Women marry men hoping they'll change. Men marry women hoping they won't change.'
-
Ah... but is Hearst going to come clean about XPress? I'm curious to learn what happens to that rag.

Love the advice mom gave to Nick: '… pick the one that makes you feel treasured. You can’t go wrong.' Too often, we make 'love choices' based on how we feel about the other person, but I've learned that what's most important is how THEY treat US! Too often, we base our choices on delusion and hope rather than reality. It's a painful mistake that we torture ourselves by making over and over.

I LOVED Jack's reaction to Mr. Bojangles! 😂 '"The second the door opened, Mr. Bojangles barreled through, barking, tail wagging, forty pounds of ecstatic muscle. He launched himself not at me, but at Jack, who barely caught him. “What the—?!” “He likes you!” “This is assault!” “He loves you.” “He’s licking my ear, Nick. This is non-consensual.”' HEHE... Jack is turning out to be the best friend anyone would want to have. I wish we knew what his family did that causes him to crash... 😐

Pinemoor, Here We Come?

Fascinating chapter! I especially appreciate the bit about 'Chekhov's gun'. It explains to me the difference between a good story and a bad one. I often times find myself overwhelmed and confused by some stories that barrage me with so many useless characters and details that I find myself trying to remember what the plot of the story is. 😕 -

Headstall wrote 'The Malaise' and that story was also built around a romance between two shifter males. -
I think it would be really cool if Jack just slept with Nick and sucked him off.

I'm getting the sense that the condom breaking and/or Ryder somehow 'breeding' Danny would awaken something in Danny to reveal that he, Danny, is Ryker's intended mate. I'm still puzzled that nobody asked, nor has Ryker said, why he's so certain that Pembroke is his fated mate... 😐
-
Laura, this is so cool... I've been reading you on Nifty (Sunny Hill saga) and have been frustrated at not being able to give you feedback, ask questions, etc. And now I find you on GA! How cool... You're right, GA is like a family even for those who don't come home very often

Beyond all Misunderstandings
Nahrung commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Beyond all Misunderstandings
I just remembered another werewolf story by Headstall where the betrothed wolf couple have a rather violent mating ritual that involves the alpha biting his mate to 'mark' them as their own. Maybe that's what the violent interaction between Ryder and Pembroke was about. After all, Pembroke seemed to recognize Ryder and allowed him to come to his office after telling him on the phone that he was his mate. -
Chapter 23 In the Bright Light of Day
Nahrung commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 23 In the Bright Light of Day
Great chapter, as usual. I can't remember, was there an encounter between Lucas and Boone in Larkspur in one of the previous stories or did you write something about it in this story? I know Lucas said it was bittersweet when we went to Larkspur to find Boone and found out he was with Coy. Alas, another Sheriff to find a lover for... -
But he did! 'If you put your fingers on the underside of his wrist, you can feel his pulse. It might take you a bit to find one, but be patient and calm and you’ll feel it… and that should help you relax, which is what you really need to do.” '

Chapter 13 If He Ever Does
Nahrung commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 13 If He Ever Does
I thought I missed something and reread Ch. 12. Thanks for clarifying... story now makes more sense. So sorry to hear of your losses. honestly, I don't know how you can even write chapters like this in a story while grieving big losses in your person life. Then again, maybe it was a welcome break for you. Take care, my friend... Neal- 54 comments

Hey, Carlos... Do you mean to be sending out story outlines? This is the third one we've received, but no chapters...
-
I have played in 'best-ball' tournaments... it's great fun! Good chapter...
-
Nice chapter... I can't wait to read the boat's chef's interactions with and reactions to these kids! I'm sure that the kids understand the loving hostility between the Abello family members...
-
WOW! Akuzio... Jacob killed Q... I never saw that coming... Sad... very sad for both of them.
-
Damn nice story! I read all four chapters in one day and very glad I did! So, I guess we're headed back to Larkspur... COOL!
-
OK... I get it... it hasn't posted yet... Sorry...
-
Are you posting the sequel on GA? I can't find it...
-
Yeah... sorry... I don't specifically remember why apparently lost interest. it very well may not have been because of 'incredibly slow posting'. Sorry if I got this wrong.
-
I think I must have stopped reading this story at some point because I really don't remember anything from the last several chapters. I totally loved the story and I'm looking forward to the sequel. I started reading it again because you started posting it again on Nifty in preparation for the upcoming sequel or Part 2. From the comments I'm reading from way back, I'm guessing that I may have lost interest because of incredibly SLOW posting. So... Is it worth my time reading the sequel or are you planning to continue incredibly SLOW posting? Thanks!
