Chapter 12
Answered Prayers
We played a two hour game of cut-throat Risk, which I won. It was just too easy when I started off with most of North America from the draw of cards, but, I took it easy and kinda toyed with them until Roger, who started with Australia, tried to take over Asia. After the game, Aunt Alice fixed us hotdogs and chips for dinner. We took off for my house, after we ate, to watch some movies. Roger picked out C
I'm looking for feed-back here concerning a scene in chapter 12. The scene takes place in church. Without giving too much away, the pastor is giving his Sunday morning service sermon. The whole sermon is NOT quoted, but a couple of verses and a small story is a part of the dialogue. The message is positive towards gays and a positive stance is take by some.
My question is this: Is this too much religion, even though it will play an important part in later chapters?
I really need your opinion on this.

I think you're right about the average teen, but maybe our Andy isn't so average. One thing is for sure, he is an all in or all out kind of boy.
I think one of the problems with the way I'm writing this story, is the time line. Chapter 1 through chapter 11 covers only six days Sometimes we forget that, the first week of school.

You're right! JT wasn't allowed on school ground and that's why the principal turned him away from the game. But some people think they can do anything they want.
As for the camp out, there's not much I can say about it since it hasn't happened yet
