I'm looking for feed-back here concerning a scene in chapter 12. The scene takes place in church. Without giving too much away, the pastor is giving his Sunday morning service sermon. The whole sermon is NOT quoted, but a couple of verses and a small story is a part of the dialogue. The message is positive towards gays and a positive stance is take by some.
My question is this: Is this too much religion, even though it will play an important part in later chapters?
I really need your opinion on this.
~Billy~
Thank you Time for another review.
I'm glad you're all caught up now. Chapter 12 should be published soon
I think you're right about the average teen, but maybe our Andy isn't so average. One thing is for sure, he is an all in or all out kind of boy.
I think one of the problems with the way I'm writing this story, is the time line. Chapter 1 through chapter 11 covers only six days Sometimes we forget that, the first week of school.
Hey Tim! Thanks for the review!
You're right! JT wasn't allowed on school ground and that's why the principal turned him away from the game. But some people think they can do anything they want.
As for the camp out, there's not much I can say about it since it hasn't happened yet
Stay tune, there's plenty of drama coming
Roan, thank you for sharing a part of yourself. I felt the emotions in it and that takes talent. I look forward to reading more of you work in the near future.
Thank you Lisa! It's awesome that you liked the chapter. That really brings a smile to my face and makes writing it well worth while
This week (time-line not the week of Feb 5th - Feb 11th) will answer a lot of questions, but will cause more questions.
I hope you will enjoy!
Thank you so much Conner! I was kind of worried about that Pastor's chat with the boys that it might come across wrong to some people as preachy. But, I felt there was a good message in there.
It's always been JT for James Thomas, in the first chapter couple of chapters I did have it both ways which I did correct Thanks for you kind words and support as always Benji. I kind of liked the Pastor myself And All for One and One for All.
Thanks Tom, I'm looking forward to see what part the pastor plays in the story. I liked him too. God does work in mysterious ways. As for TJ, I see more trouble from him in the near future.
Chapter 11
Keeping the Faith
I felt the sun on my face the next morning, as it came through my window. Its warmth on my body didn’t compare to the warmth I felt in my soul, from Joey. The sun’s rays highlighted Joey’s golden hair, almost making it look, as if he was wearing a crown of gold, or better yet, had a halo encircling his head like an angel. I knew there were many obstacles we would have to overcome in life, but I was certa
Thanks Daddy.
I agree its really really hard to choose between the nominees. I like all of them and recommend each of them, even the offsite ones. Two of them are a couple of my all time favorites - The Fall by Mike Arram and Sentennial Mountain by Sequoyah
