  1. I wonder if maybe you're over-thinking this, and the result is there's a wall all around you that's keeping your emotions in, and the full effect of what he means to you out.
  2. Poor Yankees? A bigger oxy-moron could not be found in all of baseball.
  3. Wrong answer.
  4. Regardless, we should probably expect the chapter with 9/11 in it on 9/11 - right?
  5. Sort of building off what Krista's saying - what's the larger context here? I.E. Do you generally have a good relationship with your boss where this would've been a mistake, or is it generally not so good, where this might've been out of spite?
  6. OK, now I really would want to see the "locked in a room" solution happen. Granted, Brad's managed to totally fuck up his relationship with Will, but given the "conditions" that Will's set forth, how exactly is that supposed to really be met other than for Brad to be totally grovelling at Will's feet? And quite frankly, even if Brad does follow through and apologize - it just doesn't feel like that's going to be enough. Maybe for Will - but for everyone?
  7. I was figuring that locking Will and Brad in a room would be a decidedly less-comical version of what happened in the episode The PTA Disbands from the Simpsons. Skinner and Krabappel end up locked in a room to force a resolution on a teachers' strike. (I was hoping to find a clip with that moment in it; unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be one posted. Damn it. )
  8. Pity that they can't both just be locked in a room by themselves and not let out until they've hashed out everything, and I do mean ever-y-thing.
  9. Except that Will has either totally ignored Brad's attempts to communicate with him, bad or otherwise, or responded with in-kind hostility. Which is why I find his request to Stef that Brad talk directly to him just flat-out ridiculous, because said request is not evidence that he won't just do the same should Brad take him up on it.
  10. We've been fully exposed to Will's recent sexual history, exhaustively so. That's not the case for Darius or even for John.
  11. Will: While only seconds before, Stef brought up Will's completely ignoring Brad. And yet Brad's supposed to even be able to try to talk to Will? Really?? This is what makes JP's immediately supporting Will on this as blindly supporting him - no more, no less. And I'm sure Stef knows this, too. JP really is coming off now like he's just blindly supporting Will for the sake of just that, whereby nothing else about it is even on his radar. Brad is by no means right, but that does not mean that Will is 100% right, all of the time. Actually, with the way the entire family seems to be taking sides - most of them against Brad and Stef - I'd say nobody is. This is, overall, starting to seem less like a separate story and more like Paternity Part Two.
  12. I loved it when Robin just seemed to strut out after Miley's bear-y mess of a performance. Go figure that Robin + Miley = An even bigger mess of a performance. To be honest though, the show as a whole was one big fabulous trainwreck.
  13. Clique. Sharon's got a good suggestion of Claire keeping Marie around so as to make Marie's life miserable - at the very least, just sending her away (presumably, for attitude adjustment) is, like simply killing her off, too damn easy. Something else to consider, though - even if Marie ends up coming around...in a way, it still doesn't fix the entire problem for Will. Because the rest of the problem is just the way the school gossip network works. Even if they fix Marie and get Ferris to back down, who says there won't still be someone else? Will can overcome these particular nemeses, but how much of gossiping just being the way things are will he decide to put up with?
  14. I'm beginning to wonder if I should be surprised or not if Marie doesn't ultimately end up trying to actually kill Will. What we're seeing here is that the Marie that used to exist is now gone, and in her place is this...completely soulless creature, that makes even Elizabeth Danfield look...human.
  15. Yay!!!! This is what I was hoping for. So happy that it all worked out.
  16. Actually, it's not all that much of a stretch to consider Brad and Robbie not giving him a heads-up on the high school scene - for that matter, it's not a stretch that JP isn't the only adult in the family who prefers to stay out of "teen" drama. And this is before considering that as Paternity showed, Brad and Robbie aren't exactly Mister and Mister Always-Attentive. Keywords in bold. Too damn easy. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole situation gets spilled out right before 9/11.
  17. So Marie's going out with Noah. Or is she...really? Being out to get Will because he "stole" her spotlight might play well enough for all the junior socialites at school, but I still think it runs even deeper than that for Marie herself - and that card is one she's not sharing with anyone (yet). Where does Noah fit in? Simple - pretend to "come around" on her feelings towards him, whereby the real purpose is just to keep him away from Will. It'd actually be quite interesting if she did have real feelings for him in spite of her hatred of Will, but I'm not too sure about that happening. And then...there's this chapter's cliffhanger. Or is it one...really? I don't see how Will could have HPV too. At the very least, for Erik's suspicion to be the case, that would mean he also gave it to Kyle. I think it's way more likely that Mr. Turns Out to Not Be Remotely Capable of Being Faithful (Kyle ) got it from some other hook-up - which is really crazy given the possibility that the other hook-up is another student, which means this thing is spreading around the school. Although...somehow I wouldn't put it past Kyle to have hooked up with a dirty non-student. Having said that, though, I will confess right now that I know nothing about how soon HPV could present upon infection, so - is it possible that someone who's infected might not present for some time?
  18. Happy birthday!

    Gay Refugee's

For some reason Yahoo is one of the sites that the wacko bigots like to flock to, regardless of country. Never understood why though...
  20. Kind of makes you wonder if Mark's swapped brains with an Evil Goat on this one......doesn't it? Although......one thing does strike me as odd about the whole thing. Who the hell plans their wedding for 9:11 in the morning?? Unless......
  21. I was going to make a crack wondering how much "property damage" costs Will incurred to have his nose repaired, after Marie's gossipy machinations sent Erik his way - until I realized that it'd be nothing that insurance couldn't handle. Damn it.
  22. My theory from the earlier pages still stands: When you stated, "the quicker and earlier she learns that the world doesn't revolve around her and that her actions have consequences," that was what jogged my memory.
  23. I like it best with Wednesday not set to one feature like the other days are. It would be terribly monotonous for that to happen to Wednesdays too.
  24. From "ADHD and writing": Based on this, it stands to reason that many many characters (though not all!), not just JP, could represent the Many Facets of Arbour.
  25. Or at the VERY least, let's at least catalogue the ones we have seen. Going on the assumption that these characters have been having bunches and bunches and bunches of hook-ups with bunches and bunches and bunches of people out-of-story...kind of defeats the purpose of trying to figure out who and how many for...well, for any one of them. (Although...something about "cataloguing" anyone's sexual history just seems so so wrong. )
